These are the important information about antiques. in here i explain some information about antique coins but these details and tips are applicable for any kind of antiques.

Most Antique coins dealers do not provide free valuations, it's usually an offer to buy. That is what they are willing to pay you for an old coins.

You want as much as you can get, dealers want to buy for as little as possible. It's how they make a living! So, Caveat emptor with your old coins!

Start with your local library. They have many books on old coins and paid staff to help you -- staff that you pay for with your tax dollars. They can't provide a valuation, but if they just help you find an old coins catalog you're likely to find some prices.

Don't expect to get quality information on the valuation of old and antique coins over the telephone or via e-mail. What takes two seconds to do in person, can take 20 minutes by telephone and dealers don't have that much free time.

Some Bad News -- Most are not valuable! They were generally produced in millions and nobody ever throws them away!

Condition, or state of preservation, is most important. "Mint Condition" is tops, but don't think for a second coins that look really good are in mint condition. Mint Condition means not in any way distinguishable from new!

The collecting of antique furniture and coins is particularly popular area of the antique collectors. Antique furniture includes dining tables, chairs, clocks etc. and also antique coins includes Roman, dutch, British, Chinese, Asian etc. In Chinese antique furniture the most common wood is elm. A wood common to most regions able to sustain trees. Each wood has it own distinctive separated grain , shape, style and colour. Shape of the antique furniture has a distinct representation of the time and country. There are number of different style antique furniture depending on when where it was made. The most common include art & craft, Georgian, Regency and Victorian.

Antiques are usually objects which show some representation of the territory. There are thousands of various antique coins in the world. Most of them are represent there Kingdom. Some of them are represent there religions, persons and powers. Same as the antique furniture these antiques also have distinct unique grain, shape and colour. Gold, Silver, Bronze are the common metal used to make antique coins.

However antique furniture and coins have some similarity in century to century. In early centuries ( 5th to 10th ) we can found lot of difference between country to country.
