BAPE vs Stussy (laughable)

Japanese fashion label BAPE, most famous for designing lifestyle and streetwear, has hooked up with Stussy the California lifestyle brand, to create Ill Collaboration, which has already hit the streets of London. How unimaginative could they have been?

I bet it took them ages to come up with tis design, oh lets stick that horrible BAPE blog like ape haed and the Stussy done to death script ona t-shirt side by side and hey we can rip kids off for £70 (for a one colour print in 2 positions, come on) a throw coz we are hip as shit, err no you were once but these designs or old hat. I doubt kidz around here will know what BAPE is so I wont be seeing them rocking it but if I do I shall restain myself from laughing at them.

It'sa real indication of the state and yet another nail in the coffin for streetwear and mens fashion in my mind.

He has some killer lines "when a pretty young white girl runs into a black mans arm you know she's homeless or got problems". Summer Saturnalia's latest music line-up makes you remember why they were nominated for 2012's UK Festival Awards 'Best Small Festival' 'Best Dance Festival' and 'Best Grass Roots Festival'.

Only in its fourth year, the festival is sticking to its fiercely independent ethos shunning most main outlets of advertising and keeping their 'word of mouth' mentality.

OMFG Radioactive Man ia playing! Radioactive Man (aka Keith Tenniswood, and better known as one half of Two Lone Swordsmen with Andrew Weatherall) is a cult status DJ, skirting the vanguards of rave culture serving as the UK’s figurehead of Drexcyian born electro. Tenniswood was the first UK rep to bring DJ Stingray over to the UK to his infamous Control Tower parties – his fierce 150 bpm militant electro label co-run with Dexorcist. Still vehemently carrying the flag for that magnificently heavy beat, Summer Saturnalia will be taking it back to the best of the 90s.

As part of Rob Booths EE takeover at the heart of the festival (the Pandora tent), Objekt will be dual headliner alongside Akkord.

Taking you through adventures in machine music, built to make subs rattle and feet wiggle; a convoluted mess of elektrology and teknology, Objekt will be taking us through the best of Berlin in an hour.

Yes this PXL delivery is a day early but there's nothing wrong with being on the ball and you need to be fast when you've got designs like these, every one a killer.

Dynamic Style restock

There's been a crafty restock of Dynamic Style over the weekend, no new designs but we have on site some Dynamic Style designs that have not been on for a long time or ever. It's been a hard few years in the streetwear and urban clothing industry and whilst BIG companies think that they should replace designs every season, forcing retailers to buy new stock and discount last season smaller companies like Dynamic Style have looked at their back designs and consolidated their best and biggest sellers over the years to bring what is almost the best of collection. Personally I think Dynamic Style have some very strong designs that are still has relevant now as they were when they originally were released.

There been a lot of talk recently on the Sturban Clothing Blog about blending of musical genres ie dubstep, trap and house and here we have a perfect example from the Adventure Club.

Adventure Club, following up their Life in Color mix decide to create brand new mix series Superheroes Anonymous, and we have the premier of Volume 1.
