City Hall is a municipal building in George Town, Penang, which was formerly the seat of the City Council of George Town.
Originally built in 1903 as the Municipal Office, Penang, the building was erected at a cost of $100,000 to relieve demand for office space at the adjacent Town Hall, which then took on a more social function. Both buildings stand in front of the Padang on Esplanade Road.

The name "City Hall" dates from the grant of city status to George Town in 1957. Since local government reorganisation in 1976, the building has housed the Municipal Council of Penang Island.

Kek Lok Si (极乐寺), Penang

he Kek Lok Si Temple (极乐寺) is one of the famous attraction in Penang and itr is named under the name - "Temple of Supreme Bliss". Kek Lok Si is situated in Air Itam, a suburb of Georgetown. You can make that by local bus from the Komtar, but you can also make it by taxi.

At the Kek Lok Si Temple ground, it contains beautiful gardens and sacred pond. One of the famous ones will be of course "The Liberation Pond" (Sacred Turtle
Pond). Chinese tradition believes that a turtle is a symbol of longevity, strength and endurance. It is an act of spiritual liberation when a turtle is captured and set free in this pond.

There is an inclined lift to carry pilgrims and visitors further uphill. On the elevated platform, you can find a pond filled with Koi and the towering statue of Kuan Yin, Goddess of Mercy, which can also be regarded as Avalokitheshvara, Bodhisattva of Universal Compassion.

The Temple brightly illuminated during the 33 nights following Chinese New Year.

THE WEDDING DAY

Gosh.. this had been delay for a long time and i totally forget about the post of my wedding. My wedding is held in Teluk Intan, the small little town which is famous for th Chee Cheong Fan as well as the LEANING TOWER. haha...

Em.. Our wedding is SUPER SIMPLE compared to many people. We don have much ceremony to follow. We keep as simple as is it. A wedding which I can say a simple as possible.

My hubby comes out from the house around 9am and then need to be in brides place and the ceremony need to be completed by 12 pm. Hmm.. Early in the morning, I had my makeup and waited for the time to come. Had a simple breakfast

They finally arrived but we don't have much games on them. Ginger Fizzy Juice nd another will be wasabi egg created by YH. Upon entering the room and fetch me, a few question being asked on our days together like
1. What is the first birthday gift he buy for me ?
2. Where is our first dining experience?

After the pickup, we headed to the groom place to for the ceremony like prayers as well as the tea ceremony. After the ceremony, we had a group pix and is finally complete

At night, we had the dinner at Tai Chong Restaurant and the dinner is ended at about 10 pm.

Is Finally UP UP UP. The 3rd Putrajaya International Hot air ballon is finally here again during the last weekend from 18 -20 March 2011. Here I am again this year and get a chance to go inside to enjoy the actions of the people setting up and how the air ballon goes ups..

This year what special. I think is daraemon... Taking many pix but will post some here for sharing. enjoy!!

It is a long long post and is been dragging till recently i have time to write up. A wedding is the ceremony in which two people are united in marriage or a similar institution. My wedding is located in Penang as well as Teluk Intan. This place is at Sea Palace restaurant.

PINANG PERANAKAN MANSION, PENANG

At the Pinang Peranakan Mansion, the typical home of a rich Baba of a century ago is recreated to offer a glimpse of their opulent lifestyle and of their many customs and traditions. With over 1,000 pieces of antiques and collectibles of the era on display, this Baba-Nyonya museum is also housed in one of Penang’s heritage mansion of eclectic design and architecture.

Built at the end of the 19th century by one of local history’s famous personalities, the ‘Hai Kee Chan’ or Sea Remembrance Store had once served as the residence and office of Kapitan Cina Chung Keng Kwee. Though not a Baba himself, his Chinese courtyard house was much like a typical large Baba home of eclectic style, incorporating Chinese carved-wood panels and English floor tiles and Scottish ironworks. Having survived the many decades of neglect and decay, the mansion has now been restored to its former glory of a stately home
