13 October: Getting to know Conditional Purchase records

With the passage of the Robertson Land Acts were in 1861, New South Wales colonists had the opportunity to purchase small blocks of land through what was known as 'conditional purchase'. This was a way of obtaining a Crown Grant of land before it was surveyed. State Records holds the key conditional purchase records. The presentation will provide a step by step guide to using these important records.
