More Christmas cards

I wanted to share a couple more Christmas cards that I have been working on.

The first one used the Snow Burst textured impressions emblossing folder and the Peekaboo Frames Bigz L Die from the Holiday mini catalog. Along with the doily triple layer and the decorative label punches from the Idea Book & Catalog.

The second cards are using the stocking builder punch and the silver & red glitter paper also from the Holiday mini catalog.

Another multi-page card

I loved the multi-page fall card, so decided to do it in Christmas.

Once again, disregard the mini clothespin -it's only there to hold the pages open or shut as needed for picturing.

Some of the supplies I used:

Postage stamp punch - #122344

Silver glimmer paper - #124005

(last two items are in the Holiday mini catalog)

The base cardstock is Night of Navy - it appears to be different in some of the pictures.

One more Fall card

It is officially still Fall, so I thought I would sneak in one more fall card. I had a project that I need lots of leaves for. So I used my Big Shot leaf die. The Early Espresso cardstock was the piece left, so I attached scraps of designer series paper behind. Then I wrapped baker cord around the piece, after I strung some punched jewelry tags that were each stamped with "hello".

I hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving. And wishing you lots of Black Friday bargains if you shop - not me, I avoid all stores on Friday.

Multi-page Fall card

This is one of the cards we made at my last stamp class, along with a Christmas card. I just love the way this Thanksgiving one turned out. Ignore the tiny clothespin - it's only there to hold the card open for picturing. It looks a bit yellow due to the lightbulb. In other words, not the best lighting. But I wanted to share it with you.

The base of this card is 4 1/4 x 11 inches.

I scored it at 3 1/2, 4, 4 1/2, 5, and 5 1/2.

From there you can make the attached flaps any size you want.

If you try this card, I'd love to see yours!

I thought this card style would also work well for Christmas cards where you would like to tuck in a picture.

I'd like to share a couple more cards with you.

This first card uses the Come to Bethlehem stamp set and the Frame,Oval scallop Big Shot die - all from the Idea Book & Catalog.

For this second card I used the Stocking builder punch, Frostwood Lodge designer series paper, along with the mini jingles bells from the Holiday mini catalog. I also added a couple paper clips for the blades on the ice skates.

I have such good intentions of posting here regularly, but life seems to get in the way. I had a Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack this past Friday evening. We had a good time. So I wanted to share the cards we did with you.

This first card uses The Sounding Joy stamp set from the Holiday mini catalog and the Cherry Cobbler quilted satin ribbon, also in that mini.

This next card is my non-traditional Christmas colors card. I used the Polar Party stamp set from the big Idea Book & Catalog (IB&C) with the new In Colors.

This last card uses the Stripes embossing folder for the background, Easy Events stamp set from the IB&C. The Merry Christmas image from the Easy Events set was embossed in gold on black, then I punched out the center of the of the buds or berries with the Crop-a-dile and put a piece of the red glitter paper behind the black circle.

I have a few more Christmas cards I'll share soon.

summer mini & NEW catalog samples

I want to share with you some more cards.

For this first one, I used the Sunny Fun stamp set from the Summer mini catalog. Love those flip flops! I also used the Pinking Heart border punch, the window punch, and the modern label punch.

For this second card I used the stem stamp from the Bold Blossom set (summer mini) and the brand new Blossom Bouquet Triple layer punch for the flowers. This new triple punch is in the summer mini and is also carried over into the new IB&C. The background is Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper. I also used the eyelet border punch and basic pearls to add that finished touch.

I have been a long time in posting. My scanner died and I have not been able to get a photo box yet. However, I have been stamping. So I got my camera out today and took several pictures. Will post a couple today and a few more real soon. I will start with cards using products from the Summer mini catalog. This first card is a birthday card I created for my son, Brad. I used the Sail Away stamp, Nautical Expedition designer series paper, along with the Cherry Cobbler/white Baker's Twine.

This second card was created using the Strength & Hope stamp set and the Postage Stamp Punch. With the purchase of this stamp set, SU! will donate $2 to the Breast Cancer Reseach Foundation.

Wow, I have seen some previews of the NEW 2011-2012 catalog! Although I haven't seen the actual catalog yet, from what I see, this will be the best catalog yet. Of course, I say that every year. I don't know how they can just keep getting better and better every year, but they do. SU! really does listen to us.

If you'd like a catalog reserved for you, please contact me ASAP. I will be taking orders at $5 each (which includes a page of coupons). Preordering will make sure that you get one as soon as possible. Once my original order of catalogs is gone, it takes a while to get more ordered.

As you can also guess, the retiring list is out. Click on the link on the left to see the list of those stamp sets that will be soon retiring from the 2010-2011 catalog. The stamps will be available until June 30, however, accessories are "while supplies last" basis.

I hope to be getting some samples on here real soon. My scanner is down, so I will attempt to take some pictures and post them.

My new favorite color combo

Where is the summer going? Go away humidity - give me back my energy!

My new favorite color combo is Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler (sounds like you are sitting down to a scrumpious dessert and a cup of special coffee with a friend - doesn't it?) Both cards today use that color combination.

This first card that I would like to share with you uses products from the NEW SU! catalog. Owl punch - dotted scallop ribbon border punch - 2 3/8 x-lg scallop circle punch - and the square lattice embossing folder.

This second card uses the 2 3/8 x-lg scallop circle punch and the square lattice embossing folder along with our new pearl jewels.

If you don't already have a NEW catalog, I'd be happy to see to it that you get one.

This ice cream cone is from the new Summer Mini Catalog - looks good enough to eat,
doesn't it? And imagine all the colors you have to pick from!

This second card includes the new Island Oasis Designer Paper and the newest Bigz die - exclusive to SU! - Island Floral that goes so well with the stamp set Tropical Party - all in the new Summer Mini catalog.

Play Day last Saturday samples

OK, I managed to get some of the samples from a SU! demonstrator Play Day at my upline's group. We had so much fun! Some of the demonstrators demoed some really cool Wows. Then we participated in a shoebox swap. I came home with so many great samples.

The first card - we used a stencil for the background paper, then the top layer is the exclusive SU! lattice die cut that was

sponged and then "smooched". Watch for smooching in the new Summer Mini Catalog - coming to your mailbox soon.

The second card uses another stamp set that will be in the Summer Mini Catalog. This set will be great for masculine cards as well as those vacation scrapbook pages.

And this last card for today is using the butterflies sizzlet.

This picture doesn't do them justice though. The butterflies on this card are actually cut from a pop can. Once you cut the top and bottom off a pop can, you'd be surprised how thin and flexible the aluminum is.

I will be adding some more samples in the next day or two.

In the meantime - go be creative with your stamps and ink!

More Swaps from Milwaukee Regional

There were so many great swaps at the Milwaukee Regional last Saturday.

Here are the last four swaps.

The last sample is the fork. Michelle Kuhn was swapping them along with a tutorial on how to tie the perfect bow on a fork. Michelle also did a Wow presentation at regional. She tied a big beautiful bow on a pitch fork!

I attended a SU! play day at my upline's community center yesterday. We did shoebox swaps. What fun! I will showing some of those swaps in the next few days.

I know I've been MIA. Life is rushing faster than I can keep up.

I attended the Milwaukee Regional last Saturday. What fun!! And all the excitment is fantastic. I was only able to finish a handful of swaps, but that's ok, I got some really nice ones.

Here are the first 4. I'll most 4 more in a day or two. Then I will be posting swaps from this Saturday's PlayDay at my Upline's. I hope you'll come back again to check them out.

First Valentine of the year

I Just had to share my first Valentine of the year. My daughter's family had to have their golden retriever, Heidi, put down a week before Christmas. She had been in the family longer than the two boys, Nolan and Nicholas, so all took it very hard. This weekend they got a new puppy, Maggie. She's only 8 weeks old. And everyone fell in love with her at first sight. They all look so innocent, but some how I have a feeling there will be more stories to come! LOL

I went to a shoebox swap with over a dozen other SU! demonstrators last Saturday. We had sooooo much fun. Talk about creativity!

Here is another card I did with my newest play toys. I used the Scallop Trim Border punch from the SAB mini and the Scallop Trim Corner punch from the Occasions mini, along with the Fox & Friends stamp set from the Occasions mini. The Fox & Friends stamp set is one that I got in the new Clear Mounted option. I really love this choice.
