All stamp sets and dies are gently used unless noted. Stamps may have some stains that do not affect the quality of the images.

I will calculate the best price for shipping instead of offering overpriced flat rate shipping. You’ll receive an invoice that you can use with or without having a PayPal account.

Please note Stampin’ Up! does NOT allow their demonstrators to ship new OR retired Stampin’ Up! products to addresses outside of their own countries. I am permitted to ship to US addresses only. As much as I would like to, I will not violate the policy and risk losing my demonstratorship regardless if other demonstrators have done for so you.

Handmade Lighthouse Card with Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home

My mom taught us to love flowers and birds. That’s probably why I believe you simply can’t have too many flower or greeting/sentiment stamp sets. Flower sets work out well for feminine handmade greeting cards but not so much for men. There isn’t anything flowery about the handsome new Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Stamp Set used to make my handmade lighthouse card.

How many times was your card done and ready to be mailed but you sit there trying to come up with something to write inside? Greeting/sentiments stamp sets are on my list to rescue me from sitting and staring blankly. 🙂 I should add masculine stamp sets to the list of can’t have too many also. That’s because stamp sets that are as desirable as Sailing Home aren’t as plentiful. We should grab them up when we find them.

I wanted a white building for my handmade lighthouse card. That was accomplished by stamping with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad ink on Whisper White Cardstock and then colored with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. That little bit of added color provided shading and made the image look complete.

The magnificient sky was created by applying Mango Melody Classic Stampin’ Pad ink with a Sponge Brayer at the top, Pineapple Punch in the middle, ending with Blushing Bride at the bottom.

Having the right tools, whether in the kitchen or garage, makes the task easier. The Magnetic Platform is the best way I’ve come across to hold a die centered around a stamped image in place while feeding through your die-cutting machine. It did a fantastic job for my Bloom & Grow card (measurements below).

Now we have the 3D Embossing Folder Plate to get the just-the-right thickness when using Stampin’ Up! 3D embossing folders. Did you see it used in my video tutorial? If not, go back now to see it and another tip for the best quality embossed image.

Stampin’ Up! Above the Clouds Card Floating Above the Treetops

Hot air balloons are floating above the treetops in a partly cloudy sky with the new Stampin’ Up! Above the Clouds Stamp Set for an uplifting greeting card.

How about that sky?! Click on the picture for a larger view. I stamped the clouds on Shimmery White Cardstock and embossed with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder for a more subtle look than White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Then it was given a watercolored wash with Balmy Blue Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. The embossing powder resisted the ink (didn’t allow it to stick to it) for a soft blue sky for the hot air balloons to float it.

The treetops were stamped with the large evergreen tree from the Winter Woods Stamp Set. Stamp more than once without re-inking to create depth.
