2012-2013 Catalog

I have really enjoyed the Growing Green set (retiring, order it HERE). It is wonderful for watercoloring and it works great for the one sheet wonder technique as well.  This card uses Tangerine Tango, Concord Crush and Daffodil Delight along with another retiring set called Sweetly Said (retiring, order it HERE).

This was one of the cards available at my monthly Card Buffet held earlier this month.   We randomly stamped the smaller images in the various colors all over the Whisper White layer.  We then added a strip of the Concord Crush Polka Dot Pattern from the In Color Patterns Stack (retiring, order it HERE), added another strip of Daffodil Delight and then tied the ribbon.  I added the strip of Daffodil Delight as it really helped to pop the ribbon.

The greeting was stamped on the long pennant from the Petal Cone Die (order it HERE), sponged with Tangerine Tango ink and trimmed before adding it to the front of the card.

This is another card done with the Best Friends Forever stamp set.  I received this gorgeous card in a swap, notice how the main image really pops with the Emboss Resist Technique.

Welcome to the March 2012 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.

This month we are featuring products found on the Retiring Stamp Set List and the Retiring Accessories Lists.  Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from the fabulous LeeAnn Greff's blog, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did!  Be sure to take the whole tour!  Note:  If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may be working yet.  The tour officially begins on the 20th.

This month, it is all about retiring products.  First up are a pair of cards that use the Borderlines stamp set and some of the adorable sets from the Build-a-Bear line.  Bear Hugs, Beary Best Friends and Beary Nice Wishes.  These sets make the cutest baby and kid cards.  The card uses straight stamping and coloring with markers as well as some punches and the Circles #2 Big Shot Originals Die.

Supplies:
Stamps: Borderlines, Bear Hugs, Beary Best Friend and Beary Nice Wishes (all retiring)
Paper: Bashful Blue, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White
Inc: Chocolate Chip Classic Pad, Bashful Blue and Pink Pirouette Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories: 1 3/4 Cirlcle,  2 3/8 Scallop Circle Punches, Circles #2 Originals Die, Big Shot Machine

Using up some of my fabulous Melon Mambo Textured card stock and some of my Flirtatious Designer Series Paper!!  This paper is on the retiring list and it is discounted 25%!!  I used 4 x 5 1/4 sheets to make these simple cards.  I also used the retiring Medallion Background Stamp.  I inked the stamp in Versamark and stamped it in the corner of the DSP.  I heat emobssed it with White Embossing Powder.  The Flirtatious DSP comes with die cut doilies and I cut a few of those out and placed them over the embossed Medallion.  A Brights Button and some Regal Rose 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon finishes it off.

Lastly, a 3D project for you.  The super cute Bitty Box & Envelope Bigz XL Die and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch are both on the Retiring Accessories List so I just had to use them for another project.

 
These cute boxes make the perfect place settings or can be used for small gifts including candy!  The punched flower fits perfectly on top of this piece from the Peek-a-Boo Bigz L Die.  I added some tiny flowers and a Mini Silver Brad to the centers.  The Dot, Dot, Dot Mini Background Stamp is also on the retiring stamp set list so be sure to get this gem before it is gone!

This was a fun card to make.  I used our Craft Inks and Clear Embossing Powder to stamp on the Cork Sheets. Looks really slick and shiny in person.

How about this oldie but goodie, from a quick and easy Halloween Treats Class.  We just used the bare tree for this Halloween Bag!!!

I love these Cork Sheet Coasters, I made a few sets of these last year.  I used the Craft Ink again with Clear Embossing Powder.  The Cork Sheets were cut with the Scallop Circle #2 Die. Get more detailed instructions for this project HERE.
