Over the album’s course Strnad’s poetic, loquacious style covers a wide range of morbid topics ranging from deformity and suspended animation to cities of the dead.Clocking in at just 34 minutes long, the ten songs blow by at fantastic speeds. The hyper-sonic riffs and seemingly constant blast beats fire every song away like a rocket. But in turn, there is so much material packed into each song that the album feels like a marathon of brutality.Since the band's previous releases have been shaky at best--Unhallowed had some promise but Miasma and Nocturnal hardly escaped the clutches of the sordid-- Deflorate caught me off guard. It demonstrates the beginnings of a true command of the melodeath genre by The Black Dahlia Murder, and I am eager to hear the music they will, inevitably, make in the future.

The Black Dahlia Murder Myspace
Download

Kungfu Rick - Fragments Of The Past Time

Kungfu Rick was a Hardcore/Power Violence band from Chicago, IL They played a dizzying display of brutal Grind violence with a raw punk energy. They also had dual vocals, one the now infamous leader of HWC inc. Tommy Camaro, and second a masked man named "The Dark Enforcer".They released a number of 7" albums and before calling it quits, though their Facebook page has seen some activity recently, 625 Thrashcore released basically their entire discography on two CDs entitled Fragments of the Past Time. This release is an insane blasting, ear crushing midwest grinding fastcore. This release is one gigantic, fan-friendly chunk of powerviolence. You'd probably think that two discs of this stuff would amount to a total of 30 minutes knowing how some of these bands opted for the 20-second format, but Kungfu Rick's discography here is well over 50 minutes, per disc.Kungfu Rick were a tight band and navigate the tempo shifts successfully but that’s not enough to prevent it from becoming numbing after awhile. At the time, these guys were compared to MÖRSER and other German grind units, but their over-the-top live shows, the intelligence of the lyrics, and above all, the brutality of their music, have gained them now cult status.
This double CD discography collects everything this head-crushing unit ever did, plus a few unreleased morsels mixed in for good measure. Enjoy.

Kungfu Rick Facebook
Kungfu Rick Website
Download Disc 1
Download Disc 2

Spazz - Sweatin' 3: Skatin', Satan & Katon

Spazz was an influential American powerviolence band active between 1992 and 2000. The trio released numerous records within this time, many of which are now highly collectible due to their relative rarity."Sweatin' 3" is part three of a three part series from SPAZZ that collects rare, obscure and out-of-print tunes. It is also their first posthumous release. It containzz 67 songzz from splitzz with 25 TA LIFE (the most infamous SPAZZ release ever), MONSTER X, GOB, L.O.I., OPSTAND, BLACK ARMY JACKET, SLOBBER and HIRAX plus the complete "Tastin' Spoon" 5" and several compilation trackzz including the scarce classic "Gummo Love Theme."They’ve stretched their back catalog to three volumes and this CD was the final installment. the only single that is absent is the limited to 300 jeb ep that came out after this disc but really isnt much of a loss. for those of you who are not crazy for vinyl this is essential. intense blast beat mayhem that still remains catchy and the songs distinguishable from the last. once you own this and know its greatness you should finish Bridges, Jesus Philbin, Funeral Shock, Scholastic Deth and What Happens Next.

Spazz on Myspace
Download

Municipal Waste - The Fatal Feast

This is the last known studio album by these american crossover thrash finest; Municipal Waste, released in 2012 under Nuclear Blast Records. The number one band in modern crossover thrash metal is without a doubt Municipal Waste. They've made a name for themselves through producing some of the most headbangable thrash metal you'll come across, as well as through more-or-less ridiculous gimmicks like having beer bongs as an integral part of their live shows, or having people wake board over the crowd instead of regular crowd surfing, and stuff like that.In The Fatal Feast the crossover wheel is hardly reinvented with respect to the band’s first three records. However, the acquired benefit of maturity from the band’s previous album is more than evident. Contains 16 tracks, this album shift in varying degrees between different influences within the crossover spectrum such as brutal thrash, chugging hardcore, and melodic punk. However, one major note is how the band have upped the ante in the prime riffing department as these riffs are just so damn satisfying and rank up there with the band’s best. The other major characteristic that stands out is how the band’s has continued to improve in the songwriting department. For everyone who know nothing yet about this band, i tell you this; If you love bands such as: Suicidal Tendencies, D.R.I., S.O.D. and early Exodus, then you will love this band. It's old school thrash played well. There is no filler or lengthy melodic guitar solos. Just straight up thrash with a really nice punk rock influence.

Municipal Waste Website
Download

Against Me! - Searching for a Former Clarity

This "Searching for a Former Clarity" CD was the third full length studio album by these Gainesville, Florida punk rock band Against Me! that released in 2005 under Fat Wreck Chords. Against Me! is probably the best punk band to arrive on the scene since 2000. If you haven't already picked up the brilliant "Reinventing Axl Rose" and "As The Eternal Cowboy", you've missed out. In the best tradition of the Clash, Against Me! serves up protest rock with a nod to Woody Guthrie and the folk tradition and scream-along punk that won't let you stand still. Continue to challenge the boundaries of punk rock in an effort to further develop their sound, while ensuring that their mix of punk, folk, country, and blues was properly represented in the recording, Jay Robbins (Jawbox, Burning Airlines) was brought on as engineer/producer. The resulting 14 tracks tell a tale of the highs and lows of the band’s experience with their growing popularity, and their struggle to maintain their identity throughout."Miami" the opening track for this album is a rousing song that’s certainly going to become a crowd favorite for its sing-a-long friendly chorus, the band added horns to this song for the bridge. However, what really stood out the first time I heard this song was the lyrics. What makes this album a bazillion times more amazing and a bazillion times more meaningful is the content and substance to each of the songs. Likening their current situation to being in shark-infested waters, Against Me! have become the kings of the extended metaphor.
With political and intimate lyrics and edgy punk rock music, Searching for a Former Clarity is sure to satisfy anyone with a passion for good, hard music.

Watch Searching for a Former Clarity fans made video
Download album

Bikini Kill - Rejects All American

This was the 2nd full length and the last known studio album by these American Riot Grrrl band. Contains 12 tracks and all materials written and composed by the front female vocalist; Kathleen Hanna under Kill Rock Stars Records in 1996.
In This Album, their righteous, electrified punk had dissipated in lieu of slower, almost wistful pop melodies, many of which feature vocals by drummer Tobi Vail and bassist Kathi Wilcox. An expanded range from the two-minute slices of attitude like "Capri Pants" and "Statement of Vindication" to the alt rock of "False Start" and the classic new wave pop of the title track, Reject All American finds Bikini Kill in transition and in their element at the same time.
Bloody Ice Cream" — the most feminist song on a record by a band that built its whole existence on angry screeds — and singer Kathleen Hanna's exasperation peaks on "Jetski," in which she protests, "I ain't got no candy for you… I'm not your footnote, freakshow or your latest cause." By the time "Finale" rolls around and Hanna sings the anthemic chorus, "Time to go," you know she's right. well, If you like your punk rock tuneful, Reject All American will make a fine addition to your collection.

Download Bikini Kill Rejects All American.

Agathocles - This is not a Threat, It's a Promise.

After more than twenty five years existence and the monumental last known studio album in 2009 entitled "Grind Is Protest", the mince core living legend get back with their 2010 studio album called "This is not a Threadn It's a Promise" that released under Selfmade God Records.
Everything on this album is still as simple as it ever was for Agathocles, but what we get back is a catchiness I haven’t heard from them in a while. The songs have slowed down, the vocals have changed, and a new groove in the sound makes “This is a no Threat” a great musical return for these Belgians. The Punk Rock tunes on “God Save The Real Green Crocodile” in the vein of the UK Subs are a delight to listen to. The lowered vocals paint a contrasts with the music that is better than ever and they have lost none of their lyrical criticism. The thing that stands out is the rumbling growl almost doom/sludge tone in the anthemic punk-like riffs alongside some killer d-beats that gives the tracks that ideal wrecking ball effect as they crash straight into your brain. Definitely brutal and unforgiving old school blasts that will make anyone stop and go “What the Fuck?” before responding in favor or against. AGATHOCLES frontman Jan AG comments: This album contains all elements which AG uses to create their brand of mince core. Going from raw punk to d-beat to old-school straightforward grind, backed up with three different vocal styles. This time the lyrics deal with topics like losing your job and waiting for the repo man, scenesters, elections, the worldwide economic crisis, modern technology and the rise of Big Brother, and more. Get ready for another old-school, raw, mince core blast!

Agathocles myspace
Download

Cause For Effect - PQ-2

Released in 2001 under Ubble Gubble Recs., Cause For Effect's PQ-2 was an album that contains 20 serious socially aware lyric tracks while the music have a more funny and got some groovy in some sides. The music stand of a mixture between extreme forms of metal, jazz and progressive rock, the result is a difficult to categorize but the band uses term: fusion|grind|core|bass|drums|duo. The use of a two instruments create an original and different sound where the possibilities of both instruments are well explored. Classic barfing vocals overlay music that is here, there and everywhere. Imagine a hyper bass, spastic drums and the aforementioned growl combined to play improvisational jazz but still running on the maintrack of grindcore discipline. Formed in 1992 in Findland, The band have released several full-length studio albums and EPs in their career. Grindcore from Semarang City, Indonesia. Anarchist, nihilistic, drugs, alcohol and sarcasm things, those was the impressions that i got from this band when the first time i met them. One song that shock my brain when the first time i hear it, which the guitarist playing an acoustic guitar jam session in javanesse languange that told about everything like a drunk man sing a song while keep on taking a tons of anti depressant things and drinks many bottles of alcohol. it's funny in the first second, but don't get me wrong, in the several seconds after, when the grindcore session begin, you'll get knocked down with how powerful, raw, wild with harsh and high pitched voice while garage and raw drumming running within straight in your fucking face. it's really raw and i really mean it.
It's a new band that formed around 2008, and i really can't wait for their full length album that been planned to be released around this year. A little bit remind me of Extreme decay but with different type of lyrics and atitude. just enjoy, highly recommended for you all who claim yourself as garage grind head! enjoy!

It was the first 2008 EP by these Indonesian thrashcore attackers. Contains 7 tracks, this EP gives you a straight in your face music, fast, short and without any compromise. Hardly influenced by Bettercore & Migra Volenta, from the start until the end you'll get a very thrashy of brutal hardcore attacks. This is Thrashcore, there are not much to say. Just get myself ready, and... Booommm!! enjoy people...

This was the 2007 full length CD by these germany ultra fast hardcore legend - Yacopsae, released under Obscene Recs. The production is quite similar in quality to that given to previous Yacopsae works; you've got extremely upfront percussion right in your face, hard and gritty guitar sound, huge snare drum bludgeon and also hot killing voice stirred into the middle of it all. The strength of this band comes in a very noisy shape and that simple fact is the standard of the entire album. Actually..., that fact will also mean headaches and maybe heart attacks in some people.
Like Narcosis, they batter you with sections of splattered grind before suddenly stopping and starting with deadly accuracy, or they chuck in a bit of respite in the shape of a rocking catchy bit. Nothing you wouldn't expect then, but it is damn good. This is all pretty much sung in German so I have no idea what they're on about precisely, but I imagine lyrics are of a political nature.
Yes, there are some good moments and a couple of different paces inside this record. It is the 5% of the whole piece though, the 95% is just like I already explained. For you who still know nothing about this band, i'll tell you that the band's been grinding around from over 15 years since established in 1990.

Download Yacopsae - Tanz, Grosny, Tanz... full album

Insect Warfare - Noise Grind Power Death

And... this was the last known release from these Texas Noise Grind entitled : Noise Grind Power Death. but as rumour said, this EP was the final release from them. One band who perfected the craft of Grindcore was Insect Warfare a band that savagely tore away at the frayed seems of established extreme music, attempting to burn the entire idea down before they broke up last year. I got to talk to the band and ask them about their legacy, their thoughts on music and what lies ahead. Insect Warfare is a grindcore band from Houston, Texas. Formed in 2004, they made their first demo “Gulf Coast Infestation” later that year. This earned them some interest from 625 records, which helped to release the following year IW’s next installment as a band, “At War With Grindcore” EP with 8 fast, heavy crust tracks on it. Insect Warfare once said : "We started around 2004 to play Grindcore in the vein of the early shit (88/89 UK grind) but also to incorporate a lot of the noisier style grind from the 90s that we were into." From the get go the listener is completely obliterated by huge amounts of intense feedback, pounding drums, scorching shrieks and bellows and an overall bottom heavy production. The band displays a devastating, and even painful at times, marriage of pure noise and grindcore with this LP. After listening to this recording three times in succession I was left with a headache and a need for fresh air. The album sounds as if they recorded five songs, each about a minute and a half long, took out the guitars and utilized vocal effects and general feedback instead, then proceeded to cut each song into ten sections with about a quarter second of breathing space in between. Needless to say it's pretty intense. Each "song" is a concise burst of primal aggression and is painfully awesome. The high volume feedback might kill your ear drums after awhile, but it's still enjoyable. This album isn't all to alien, being that the manner in which they play is exactly the same as with older recordings, they've just done away with the guitars and bass and opted to scream their way through songs, rather then riff it through. In the end it really seems like an improv record that's meant to fuck with people. While it actually is enjoyable, it is noisey, chaotic, barbaric and utterly destructive. Within the first ten hours of owning it, I've made good use of it to get people out of my room; this little baby clears people out in no time and gets people genuinely upset. It's easy to dismiss this record, but it's got some charm to it i can't ignore.
Speak Your Peace is way more controlled and less psychotic than Convicted or Money Talks. I can still get into it, but these guys were way better suited playing insane technical thrash... not mid-paced thrash.
There are a few awesome riffs... the intro to Still Born Again and Co Exist in particular. Lifestyles of the Poor and Lowly is pretty funny, and brings back some of the hardcore edge... more often than not, however, the album seems plagued by plodding, discordant, slow riffs and boring mid-thrash parts. The production is refined... something that would suit a different band well does not work at all for CS. These guys need a muddy, noisy, extreme sound. The resulting album was quite a change in style for the band, moving from their hardcore punk roots more to a crossover thrash sound, complete with quirky rhythms and melodies.
This was the last known release by these Washington attractive grindcore act that released under well known Willowtip Recs. Contains 16 tracks, through this CD Magrudergrind have already proven they can play fast, loud, and ultimately kick your face in small doses. The album basically kicks off as an expected sequel to their 2007 debut, Rehashed, with songs that are short gut-punch-you-’til-you-vomit-blood slices of fuck your mother. But there’s a method to the madness, and they all seem incredibly well thought-out even as they manage to maintain their anarchic glee. sound is razor sharp and impeccably tight; harsh and unbearably fast with little to no evidence of any outside influences. In fact, this style of grind honestly has little to do with heavy metal; nothing about this album is “heavy” in the traditional sense, and the riffs are based more on straight noise than any kind of distinguishable or technical patterns. the movie samples do add a dash of humor to the otherwise no-bullshit, politically charged song titles, they aren't at all cheesy. And there’s no rolling double bass or real goofy dual growl/high-pitch scream thing--instead, simple and catchy riffs that sometimes recall ‘80s hardcore, sometimes death metal, and traditional screams with a nice grunt every once in a while tossed in for effect. I love everything about the album, the raspy and original vocals, the decent production which makes it sound so much more raw and heavy, the spazztic drumming, the never ending grinding n' shredding guitar, the awesome & obscure movie clips and political disputes, and of course the intense political, religious and life in general themed lyrics. This album directly to you who loves grindcore. Enjoy grind heads!

Download Magrudergrind s/t 2009 full album

Inhumate - The 5th Season

Grindcore from france! and this was their last CD album released in 2009. "The 5th Season" is Inhumate playing like Inhumate, however it is Inhumate overcoming Inhumate! Confused words? Hear "The 5th Season" and you will understand, but first you should hear the other excellent albums of the band. "The 5th Season" impresses for the intelligent lcover: simple, but very well elaborated showing a human machine thinking, showing a contrast between the silence of the thought and the sonorous brutality that is approximating... Pressing the "play" you are buried by a GrindCore avalanche of the best sonorous quality... and unquestionable brutality. Still grinding on with the blasting contents, approximately more almost the compositions that appeared noisy for the dense sound. The riffs are tight for slamming- picked, bending also fast drilling that what the tones are mentioned dissonant- more for the usual.
"As ever, there are no vocal effects on this album", the liner notes to the new Inhumate album, The Fifth Season, proudly exclaim. Now then, considering that Inhumate is a grindcore band and therefore part of a genre that often features vocalists that do their best to imitate dogs, bears, pigs, rotor engines and/or various industrial-grade farming equipment, this little piece of information ceases to significantly impress. No thoughtless that INHUMATE have done the great works after several years from 1993 firmed in scene’s, much compliment to this band for the live performance. We are not to go to the stalk but the war zone you know that.

Download Inhumate - The 5th Season full album

Carnage - Dark Recollections

This was the first full length album after several demos from these Swedish death metal finest whose members later went on to found Dismembers and Arch Enemy. This album was released under well known Earache Recs in 1990, contains 18 old school death metal tracks.
Carnage can be called one of those one-hit wonders of old school death metal. The band was initially formed as a grindcore band calling themselves Global Carnage at the end of 1988 but later renamed themselves and started playing straight up death metal. Carnage only lasted a very short time, and this is their only available release. The former members of Carnage also went on to form and join other bands likes of Dismember/Carcass/and Entombed. That should give you a very good idea of what to expect here. It's a mixure of all three of those bands in one, and let me tell you, it's incredible to say the least. The vocals are straight from hell, and the musicianship is very good. Considering the fact that they were originally grindcore, the band still maintain some of their former elements, as can be seen in songs like Gentle Exhuming but the real flare of the band can be heard on songs like the title track, Death Evocation (later covered by Dismember) and Infestation of Evil where the listener can hear and appreciate how mature and cohesive their work is, considering the age of the band members, and after listening to this, listeners will probably feel like someone drove a chainsaw through their brains but they’ll keep coming back for more because they will enjoy how insane the album is. Enjoy then.

Download Carnage - Dark Recollections full album.

Brutal Truth - Evolution Through Revolution

This was the last known full length CD album by these legendary grindcore trailblazers BRUTAL TRUTH after more than 10 years hiatus. Released under well known Relapse Recs. in the middle of April 2009, this CD contains 20 tracks which they are really absolutely top-notch grindcore. It is quite literally like having a steam roller drive over you for 30 minutes as your teeth grind into the asphalt. Yet it is much faster than that. For anyone who has ever had racing thoughts; pop this album on your turntable and prepare to get psycho. Most importantly, the album sounds extremely modern, as if Brutal Truth was in a constant state of evolution while away from the spotlight. Many new areas are explored, with most directions yielding results that put bands with similar approaches to shame. Twenty songs, forty minutes, no nonsense, all grind. Kicking off with the awesome "Sugardaddy" and continuing at the same breakneck rate for its duration, it's a barrage of blastbeats, throttled guitar necks and caustic barked vocals. So there you have it, Evolution Through Revolution is a record so good that it can only be described by pointing out how it kicks other bands' asses. The band(orchestra) was generated in New York in 1992, but not until recently, when Caninus(orchestra) began receving national glory and approval of a celebrities from Andrew W.K. to Susan Sarandon.
And this CD was the debut EP from this vegan, pro-dog adoption, anti-dog buying/breeding outfit that just happens to contain members of Most Precious Blood... with two pitbulls, Budgie and Basil, handling "vocals". The musical approach is a mix of drum machine grindcore and brutal metallic hardcore, with everything from crushing breakdowns and chugging chord progressions to thick melodic lead lines or midpaced rhythms that are a little more memorable.
After the few line up changes (replacements) during 90-s', Caninus has strengthened their line up in 2001. A little from members of the profit also have gone, the few have gone to prison, some are alive albeit in the bottom of Grand Central terminals of Station. One ex-Caninus member can be noticed in the documentary film concerning the mole people "Dark Days".
The majority grindcore and fatal metal strips (orchestras) have the singers, trying to sound similarly to the broken (upset) deranged animals anyhow so they have decided to use a real thing. Vocals are executed by two pit bull terriers. Both were rescued days before euthanization from refuges. Caninus - all strict vegans. It has come time really to allow the animals to have their say.

Download Caninus - Now the animal have the voice full album.

Circle Of The Dead Children - Starving the Vultures

It was the first full length studio album after their 1998 self titled demo. Entitiled "Straving The Vultures", this CD was release in 1999 under Willowtip Recs. For you who don't know yet about Circle of Dead Children, they are a grindcore band formed on October 31st, 1998 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The title of the band is derived from a vision shared by all the original members of the band in which there was a circle of flags from various countries around the world, each depicting an image of a dead and mutilated child of that nationality.
Contains 14 tracks, this CD has raw power. Each and every track is full of passion; the songs on this CD stay in your head long after the music is over. If you know anyone who dismisses grindcore as noise, play this CD for them.

Download Circle Of The Dead Children - Starving the Vultures full album

Napalm Death - Scum

This was the very first effort from these worldwide Grindcore living legend - Napalm Death - released in July 1987 under wellknown Earache Recs. One thing that actually emerges in the way of music from "Scum" is a parade of strongly anarchic punk-influenced metal songs most of which are no longer than a minute or two and are hardly more than blasts of guitar anger and guttural roar. Other songs have basic riffs and melodies with maybe slightly more comprehensible lyrics and a rare guitar solo. On Side 1, the early songs go so fast and the singing can be such a blurry mess on most tracks that it's easy to get lost. Drumming consists of Harris mustering as much energy he can at once to bash the skins and foot pedals. This album also essentially a split LP between two almost completely different lineups, defined grindcore with its growled vocals, whirring, hardcore-influenced riffs and faster than a locomotive blast beats. Its fusion of anarcho-punk and death metal would inspire countless bands, and every musician who played on it would go on to do something extraordinary. Napalm Death's debut album, Scum, was recorded throughout 1986 and released in 1987, and defines grindcore music to this day. Mick Harris, the drummer, was the first to coin the term, and the band was the first to apply a sound to the genre. While there were bands playing the same sort of music, it was Napalm Death who gave it direction and shaped it into what it is today. Sonically it represents to me social decay, our regression back to primitivism in the democratic age. On the other hand, it's very fun and intense listening, and catchy also. Ultimately, it is a great sound with power and intensity rarely matched Napalm Death will probably never get inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, but they sure know how to get the listener's head banging. This is absolutley essential listening for all death metal/grindcore fans, and metalheads in general.

Download Napalm Death - Scum full album.

Wolf Mother - Cosmic Egg

It was the second full length studio album by these Australian rock finest - Wolf Mother - released under Modular Recs in 2009. Wolfmother aren't really Wolfmother any more: the band that made 2006's self-titled debut disbanded in 2008 over "creative differences" leaving frontman Andrew Stockdale as the last man standing. Stockdale tried to change the name, but everyone called it Wolfmother anyway, so, he opted to record the band's sophomore album, Cosmic Egg, under the band's old flag.
This is a much more mature album but maintains the full on rock influences of their eponymous effort plus a little bit of adventurousness. Given that they’ve lost two-thirds of the original line-up since their surprise hit debut album of 2005, Wolfmother seem remarkably undeterred and unchanged on their second. Singer and guitarist Andrew Stockdale still sounds like he’s trapped forever in 1972, his only hope of escape to rawk his way out, appropriating as many Led Zeppelin's riffs as he can to do so. Cosmic Egg delivers just as much power as its predecessor self titled "wolfmother"; it contains instant rock staples as the debut album did, but proves that during all that touring his main composer endured much more as a song composer and not just as a riff genius.
What this means is that the "filler" of this record is way better that the first album.Enjoy!

Download Wolf Mother - Cosmic Egg full album

Electro Hippies - Play Fast Or Die

Though they were short-lived and underground through their career, their music influenced many future crust, hardcorepunk, and grindcore bands. The band relied heavily on low bass end sounds to create their low-fi, primitively-produced music. They also incoprorated elements of heavy metal and have been described as "proto-grindcore". The band strongly embraced the D.I.Y. ethic which was very common among many early crust punk bands. The band's lyrics spoke heavily about animal rights and vegeterianism. A recurring lyrical theme on each LP targeted the Mc Donalds corporation, evidenced by the lyrics to "Run Ronald" and "Scum".
The band was formed back in 1985 by Simon (drums) and Bruno (bass) withe the intention of playing fast/aggressive hardcore punk with a metal influence. Andy (guitar) joined with Phil (guitar) and Kate (vocals). This line up lasted one rehearsal as Kate went back to America and Phil left as well. The remaining members carried on as a 3 piece. The first gig was played during '85 in Liverpool. Then in '86 Phil came back as 2nd guitar and Jeff joined on vocals. But Phil left the band again for his own reasons. The 'Killing Babies is Tight' Demo *1 was then recorded and the band were asked to record a self financed split 12" with Generic. This was done. Bruno and Jeff departed the band towards the end of '86 and Dom came in on bass. In January 1987 the 'Killing Babies for Profit' Demo *2 was recorded. The band gigged and went to Europe etc. and at the end of '87 the band recorded the LP 'The Only Good Punk' for Peaceville Records. Simon then departed the band. Whitey took his place on drums at the beginning of 1988. The band rehearsed and gigged etc. Then on the 15th April 1989 the band played their final/ultimate/last ever gig at Planet X in Liverpool before splitting.

Download Electro Hippies - play fast or die full album

Voorhees - Crystal Lake's Legacy

The 2001 full length studio album by these United Kingdom's premiere hardcore punk band - Voorhees, was released under Deep Six Recs. MC5 developed a reputation for energetic and polemical live performances, one of which was recorded as their 1968 debut album "Kick Out The Jams". Their initial run was ultimately short-lived, though within just a few years of their dissolution in 1972, the MC5 were often cited as one of the most important American hard rock groups of their era. There are some first-rate songs on the album, some good musical ideas, and the musicianship is competent throughout, often fun, sometimes exciting. "Musicianship," here, is used as a concept - the idea of a "solid, clean, tight and together" sound is as self-conscious as the total freak out the first LP was. Chuck Berry simply oozes from the album. It also shows that the MC5 were ambitious and it would be more fully realized on their next (and sadly last) album High Time. The guitar soloing on Looking at You is pure rock and roll, noisy and full of emotion. In fact, Fred "Sonic" Smith's soloing is excellent throughout the entire album. Besides sounding like one of the first genuinely punk records way back in 1970 (nothing The Stooges put out sounded like this), it's just plain fun - as fun as the Ramones first album. The production on alot of it sounds like you're listening to an old AM radio, which I personally think is kind of cool. Anyway, who needs their ears blown out all the time? If you're interested in early punk, Try this one!

Download MC5 - Back In The USA full album.

The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle

Originally, the third album of these old time English rock band, The Zombies, was released in 1968 and by the time it was re-released by Big Beat UK in 1998. As the 30th anniversary edition of the recording, it contains both the stereo & mono versions of the original LPs 11 cuts and five bonus tracks. The band's biggest hits ("Tell Her No" and "She's Not There", both from the band's eponymous 1964 debut) had cynical undertones, a trend that continued on Odessey. The album's first cut, "Care of Cell 44", strongly recalls the wide-eyed innocence of Pet Sounds' famous "Wouldn't It Be Nice?" but for the fact that the narrator's lover is, more explicitly, daydreaming in jail. It's not a revolutionary album because the innovations prevalent here were already used on the Beatles' "Sgt Pepper" album and various Beatles singles throughout 1967. And yet, the songwriting and musicianship are first class. That leaves "Odessey And Oracle" to being reactionary--but reactionary in the best sense of the word. One could hardly blame the Zombies for that. After escaping artistic imprisonment in Manila, Rod, Chris, Colin, Paul and Hugh must have been in awe of the magical sounds coming over the airwaves and pressed in the grooves of vinyl when they got back to the Western world.
This Album was sharply re-mastered and contains bonus tracks produced and recorded by various Zombies shortly after their breakup. The bonus material is welcome, offering fascinating distillations of each member's personality. Enjoy!

Download The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle full album.
