Chris Carrara, currently pastor of St. Mary’s Church in Clayton, has been named pastor for our parishes! Fr. Chris is a wonderful priest and a personal friend of mine. He is very excited about coming to Lewis County and you’re going to love him! Meanwhile, I have been assigned administrator of St. Mary’s Church in Brushton and St. Augustine’s Church in North Bangor. They are in the Malone area and both churches are four miles apart on US Route 11. My aunt, Sr. Mary Elizabeth Looby, is a pastoral associate in the Malone Catholic Parishes and my uncle, Fr. John Looby, is pastor is Ellenburg further down Route 11. Route 11 will now be renamed the Looby Expressway! He is truly a Shepherd of Christ and a gifted leader.
