<p>Time: 1pm-3pm (1 hour of technique learning and 30-45 minutes of workout)</p>
<p>Why: Prevent injury through better form, burn more calories, learn modifications to compensate an injury and ultimately get the most out of your workout.</p>
<p>Learn: Straight Punches, Hook Punches, Front Kicks, Side Kicks, Elbow Strikes, Knees, Drills and more.</p>
<p>Bring: boxing or training gloves (Need to purchase them? We have them in our pro shop: $34.95/Training, $69.95/Boxing +tax), wear shoes with non-marking soles and workout pants and tee. </p>

How would you protect yourself if, while out walking, a man pulled you by the hair and dragged you into the bushes?  A new self-protection system for women has entered the market, reinventing the typical &#8220;beat up the guy in the padded suit&#8221; self-defense class.</p>
<p>Moni Aizik, founder of WCKM, designed this system to reflect his philosophy: &#8220;Simplicity is genius.&#8221; Aizik collaborated with native St. Louisan, <a href="/instructors/laura-clark/">Laura Clark</a>, to develop the most comprehensive and evolved self-protection system in the world in order to address the personalized security needs of women. Clark, co-author of <em>Security for Women, The Evolution of Empowerment, </em>is Program Coordinator for WCKM worldwide. Clark certifies WCKM instructors across the globe. On <strong>May 29-31, 2009 </strong>she will be conducting an intensive weekend Women&#8217;s CKM course in St. Louis.</p>
