Every year the same people get voted into the NBA All Star game. This year the exact same players lead that vote including Kobe Bryant with 650,000 votes and Tracy McGrady at 281,545 votes to name a few. Obviously this system is pretty messed up when a guy who has not even played a game is getting more votes then other players who have actually played this season.

Deron Williams vs. Ariel from Hells Kitchen

I was watching Hell's Kitchen last week and noticed that the contestant Ariel looked strangely familiar. Upon further review I discovered that during the off season D Will MAY have grown his hair out dressed like a women and learned how to cook really well. Or this is another case of the look a likes. Either way you choose to look at it this woman looks exactly like Dwill, well minus the facial hair.

C.J. Miles vs. that Kid from Everybody Hates Chris

I know that there is a big age gap between these two but the Everybody Hates Chris kid looks exactly like a younger funnier version of C.J. Miles. Interesting enough if you Google "CJ miles" the top result under Cj's web pages is a stripper in the Philippines named CJ Miles. Now either

A) CJ poses as a transvestite stripper through the off season and took a time machine into the past to act for Everybody Hates Chris.

OR

B) There is another human being on this earth with the first and last name CJ Miles.

I personally am guessing A because that would explain a lot of his game ready physique...

Ronnie Brewer vs. Little Foot from The Land Before Time

Who would have thought the amazing Little Foot from the Land Before Time would become a real person, not this guy. But guess what, it happened! Just check out the resemblance.

Never mind the West jersey, Kobe always knew red was our favorite color so he slipped into it for that extra nice feeling...

Dan Marino vs The Hoff

I know that Dan Marino has been retired for years but he looks exactly like the Hoff.

Chris Kaman vs Chris Elliott

Chris Kaman is the center for the Los Angeles Clippers and he looks exactly like Chris Elliot from the movie "There's Something About Mary". That picture of Chris Elliott is from the scene where he has broken out in hives from a major allergic reaction. The crazy thing is, even with the gross breakout, he looks better then Chris Kaman. That guy is nasty looking. Seriously he has millions of dollars, maybe invest in some acne medicine or plastic surgery.

Stan Van Gundy vs Ron Jeremy

It is obvious that Ron Jeremy and Stan Van Gundy look a like, but the fact that they both have porn star mustaches is classic.

Manu Ginobli vs Balki from Perfect Strangers

Does anyone actually remember Balki from Perfect Strangers? I sure don't, who knows Manu just might actually be Balki. Maybe Manu is a secret Highlander guy that has not aged and tried his hand at acting 10 years ago.

Andy Roddick vs Stifler

I do not actually know Stiflers name and there is no way I will waste another 30 seconds looking up his name. However, both of these guys look the same.

Aaron Brooks vs Chris Rock

Kyle Korver vs Ashton Kutcher

I know that this comparison has been made a hundred thousand times but just look at them, the exact same person.

1. The 5-Pointer

What's the difference between making a half court shot and one just behind the arch? Nothing. They are both valued at 3 points. This has got to change. It needs to be acknowledged that the half court shot is more difficult and shall be valued at 5 points. Imagine what this could do to the last minutes of any game. Down by ten? All your team has to do now is hit a pair of half courters and you're right back in the game!

2. The Free Throw Option

From now on the player shooting free throws has an option: to either shoot from the regular free throw line which allows one point for each successful attempt, or they can move back to the 3 point arch and shoot, with everyone still lined up as usual, but from this location a successful attempt will be awarded with two points. (At this rate why not implement the 3 point half court free throw?!)

3. Double the Points

This rule will allow the possibility of any 3 pointer to actually be worth 6! If a player makes a shot from behind the 3 point arch WITH HIS OPPOSITE HAND. Each player has to officially declare which hand he shoots with. He can then take a shot behind the arch with his opposite hand, and in the event that it is successful it will be worth 6 points.

4. Referee Interviews

After every game at least one referee from the game must be present at a public press conference. There they will be subjected to any question a reporter or team player wants to ask them. This way they will be a little more accountable by having to justify the calls they make. This will not be an event where people get to insult, demean, belittle or ask condescending questions. It will be an event of clarification so that everyone can understand why in the world some calls are made the way they are.

While we're adding new rules, let's add one for NASCAR too...

And they're off...

Get the Fans Involved

NASCAR is cherished by many, who knows why, but this new rule will get the fans even more involved than they already are. After each race all the fans that have the desire (I bet most of them) will be allowed to race their motorhome around the course. It will be observed by the official record keepers of NASCAR and awards will be given to the winners.

Ginobili spends more time on his back than a ten dollar hooker. He’ll fall down wanting a foul call if you look at him funny. It you take all the cheap antics of an Italian soccer player, nay, the entire Italian national team, you have Ginobili. I wonder if he watches Italy’s game film for ideas… It’s a good thing that the refs get distracted looking at that giant growth of a nose on his face. I can’t tell you how much better the playoffs will be this year without him.

10: Sasha Vujacic hits the triples in big games: He is kind of annoying. He looks like Fievel from “An American Tale”. But this little sucker came up big in the playoffs last year. The Lakers have an amazing bench and this punk is one of the big reasons.

9: Bench, bench, bench: they are deep. There is not much else that can be said. There is no taking it easy against the Lakers. They have a lot of talented players that are paid a lot to shut down the opposing team’s secondaries

8: Kobe has got to be hungry: He still hasn’t done it. He hasn’t proven he can take a title without big Shaq. Kobe must have the hunger and he must be hungry for something other than the taste of Shaq’s @#$.

7: The west is looking weak: The west ain’t looking so wild these days. The Spurs are old and limping. The Jazz have disappeared into the abyss that is Carlos boozer’s inflated ego and the Nuggets are nothing but a paper tiger. The Rockets look relatively mean but nothing the Lakers won’t be able to handle.

6: Odom knows how to fill many positions: With Lamar Odom on the Laker roster L.A. won’t be left without a go-to guy when Bryant is resting. Odom plays multiple positions. He plays two sides of the floor and on any given night he looks like Marion or Kirilenko are supposed to look. Dynamic player!

5: They have the experience: They have now all been to the Finals and they know how to win. Do not underestimate how much experience plays a role in winning in the playoffs. It is huge! Just ask big Timmy Duncan.

4: Money, money, money… money!!!: Okay there is no giant NBA conspiracy. David Stern is not the evil emperor from star wars. That being said, Stern does seem to influence the referees. Last year in the playoffs Stern stated he would like to see a Celtic/Lakers playoffs. Why? Because it meant money for the NBA. If you watched the playoffs last year you know the referees slightly favored these two teams when it came down to the gray calls. Was it blatant? No. Were they told to throw games? No. Did they do what most employees do (do whatever will make the boss happy)? Yes! The Lakers are the largest market and there is a lot of money involved. They will get a couple of extra calls a game. Not a conspiracy, just a little star treatment.

3: Bynum is back: Some experts feel that the outcome of last years NBA finals would have been completely different if the Lakers would have been able to slide Gasol to the four and could have used Odom off the bench. Bynum is strong and he is an up-and-comer. If Bynum makes it to the finals, he will have a large impact.

2: The infamous Pau Gasol trade: It has been over a year since this trade. I feel there has never been a more one-sided trade in the history of the National Basketball Association. Pau Gasol is a talent. There are very few very good bigs left in the league. Pau is one of them

1: Kobe Bryant is a cold-blooded killer: I am definitely not a L.A. Lakers fan. I do not particularly like Kobe Bryant. But I will tell you this, at 1:30 in the morning in a basement room, while watching the Team USA Olympic championship game, during the fourth quarter, all i could strain to utter was “GIVE IT TO KOBE, GIVE IT TO KOBE!!!”. At that moment I had an epiphany Kobe is still the league’s scariest player in the fourth. Non-Laker fans have nightmares about things Kobe did to their respective teams in the fourth quarter. He is a killer. Love him or hate him but you must admit you don’t want to see him facing your team in the fourth.

-by Ben Evans

It is not fair! No team should be able to pick up Pau Gasol for the dung basket that was the Lakers exchange. I don't know what type of backroom deals led to this trade but I still feel a little suspicious about whether or not this deal was legit. Whether or not there was something we the fans were kept in the dark about.

9: Home court advantage: I seriously doubt the Lakers will have home-court advantage in the finals (see reason number 1). Home-court is always a huge help in securing a series. And when you are talking about two amazingly talented teams clashing the difference is often the magical sixth man.

8: Kobe is beginning to age: I know he is still amazing. I know he is still among the top three talents in the league but he is starting to lose his ability to impose his will night in and night out. Mind you I am saying beginning. It is just starting and he has years of being amazing left in him but he isn't as quick as he was two years ago. He's not as fierce.

7: A first round matchup with a talented team with nothing to lose will be draining: The Lakers will either have the Utah Jazz, the New Orleans Hornets, or the Dallas Mavericks. There is no way any of these teams beat the Lakers but these teams will leave the Lakers with some bruises and some tired legs. In contrast the Celtics and the Cavs will be playing teams that would be in the low lottery had they been in the deeper western conference. The Lakers will be in the finals but they will be more tired than their opponent.

6: Phil Jackson is overrated: Wait... Wait... Wait... I know... I know... the guy has accomplished more in an hour than most people do during their entire lives. But there is one problem. Jackson requires the very very best to win. Yes Jackson won a thousand titles but remember he has also lost many titles with teams that should have won (to the dismay of Karl "piggyback" Malone). Jackson has the second-best player in the league, but I don't think he can do it without the best.

5: Sheer boredom playing western teams: As the Lakers navigate their way through the mediocre west they will become complacent and will not be prepared for their east coast rivals. The east is an easier conference than the west but if the Cavs get through than they will have beaten the Celts and if the Celts get in they will have beaten the Cavs. The eastern NBA finals team will be rested from their first two rounds but still sharp from their third round.

4: Bynum is made of glass: I do not think Bynum will be healthy come finals. The Lakers are clearly good enough to get through the west without him but as we saw last year they can't complete with east elite without him.

3: Luke Walton bugs me: I know this one isn't based on any statistical measure but the guy just rubs me wrong. I mean he is that guy you knew in high school who acted tough because his big brother was a football star. I do not want to see this guy piggyback his way into getting a ring.

2: Kobe Bryant is not Jordan: Jordan never failed to close out a finals series. Kobe has already failed to close out twice. One of those times he had a team much more talented than the 2009 L.A. Lakers.

1: Lebron James: I don't know how else to put it. He has been amazing this year. Last year there was a debate over who was better between James and Bryant. That debate is over. James absolutely eclipses Bryant in nearly every conceivable statistical measure.

-by Ben Evans

For five years now the heir to the throne of Michael Jordan, The King has been in exile. It has been a bleak Journey for Lebron James. Playing on a team that has dismal talent at best. Trapped on a small market squad. Trying to navigate his way through the myriad of playoff teams that wield more depth and better coaching. That said, it looks as though these disadvantages will cease to be stumbling blocks come this playoff season. King James has been absolutely dominant and he is poised to make his first title run and to bring home both the regular season MVP and the Finals MVP.

When James entered the league he was hailed as the next Jordan. A man that had the power of Karl Malone, the agility of Magic Johnson, the speed of Kobe Bryant, and the heart of Michael Jordan. He was hailed as King James and he did not disappoint. He was an easy selection for Rookie of the year even among a stellar draft class that included Dwayne Wade and Carmelo Anthony. He continued to put up amazing numbers after his rookie season. He even led his team to the slaughter that was the Cavaliers/Spurs final series. All this was amazing but it still felt as though something was being held back. It felt as though his full talent was not yet on display. That has all changed.

Lebron James has emerged this year as not only the Most Valuable Player in the NBA but the most dominant player since Jordan. He has been amazing on both ends of the floor. He has been a statistical monster leading his team to what will be the best home record in NBA history (tied). Most importantly, as previously mentioned, it is this author's opinion that this is the year King James will take the NBA Title home. Most of the experts are picking the L.A. Lakers to take the title. The Lakers are expected to finish a seven game series against Cleveland in 5 or 6. This is a gross underestimation of how epic this year will be. Mark my words, Lebron will take the title and this will be the beginning of an era. We will speak of these days as we now speak of the reign of Jordan. I have had my doubts about James and I have had my misgivings but now I am converted. I am a believer and I anxiously await my opportunity to be among the witnesses that will be watching as our new king of hoops finally seizes his thrown.
