But if Father allows us freedom of conscience, shouldn't we allow Him the same?&amp;nbsp; If we do, it's really the beginning of a relationship in which true love can flourish.&lt;br /&gt;

So, to avoid that, we fill our spirituality with religion - bible studies, looking up the "Greek", good deeds - all distractions to protect ourselves from the threat of silence.&lt;br /&gt;

Maybe it's time to go there, to go to that dangerous place of silence and see what happens.&lt;br /&gt;

I woke up expecting to see grass or guardrails flying my direction.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This week, God used that moment of fear - Ok, no, shear terror - to point out a need in my life.  And He does that a lot.  With His arms around us He speaks through these things to say, "Hey Glenn, what do we have going on in this little part of your life." What we don't recognize very often, even years into our Christian experience, is that he is doing that against us all the time.  He's constantly taking little annoyances and using them to ruin our day, our evenings, and even our vacations.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But could it be that Jesus also really meant what He said in the rest of that verse when He said, "I have come to give life more abundantly"? Every deeply spiritual man and woman has come to realize that any move toward God and real freedom will be opposed.
