I just finished watching Soul Catcher and it broke my heart to see what happened to my Native American ancestors back then... I cried during the whole documentary.... I thank you and Philip both for showing everyone what happened and how Native Americans were treated.... You both showed the truth of the cruelty they all suffered. :DONNA

I wanted to express to you how touched I was by many things in your film. My mother was half Native American. She was able to get away with looking 'white' which she did. I'm not even sure which tribe she was from, she was horrified of people knowing. She grew up in Kentucky with the KKK riding by their farm on their way to god-knows-what on Saturday nights. The children that were forced to erase their heritage from their memory broke my heart. Also, the older man (with beautiful hair in braids) was heart breaking when he talked about his hair being cut, and the rest of the horror he went through. God Bless you. I can't express how I feel, but it's something close to kinship to the people in your doc. The paranormal stuff was good too LOL. Anyway...let me know about your next project when you can. Horror film and paranormal documentary makers Philip and Christopher Booth have released their latest effort on DVD. 'Soul Catcher: Trail of Fear' follows in the footsteps of the other excellent paranormal docs that the Brothers have produced.

• Spooked: The Ghosts of Waverly Hillswas filmed after the twins did a horror film at Waverly Sanatorium. It's about the many entities and paranormal activity that cast and crew experienced. It is an amazing film that goes into depth about the hospital itself and why it is so active.  • The Possessed is about the 'Watseka Wonder', America's first documented case of possession in the late 1800s.  • Children of the Grave is the story ghost children, orphanages where children were horribly treated and then buried in unmarked graves. This film features an amazing photo taken on 'Zombie Road' of a huge group of ghost children looking down at the road from an upper embankment. This film is as chilling as it gets.  • The Haunted Boy: The Secret Diary of the Exorcist. This is the true story of the young boy who was portrayed as a girl in the 70s film The Exorcist.
And now comes, Soul Catcher, Trail of Fears. Once again revolving around children, Native American children, who were taken from their parents and put into 'boarding schools'. Their parents were told they would be taught to read and write...would be educated. However, the children were instead made to 'unlearn' what they had spent their young lives learning. Their heritage, their spiritual ceremonies and even their native language. No telling how many children died and were buried in graves that were either barely marked or unmarked completely.

The situation was a perfect storm for paranormal activity. As the hunters who go through the buildings, both actual and similar, EVPs are caught and little spirit children are seen. Paranormal investigator Keith Age, who works with the Booths often is joined by a Native American hunter called Spiritchaser Anita. Many Native American elders were interviewed and virtually all told tales of the schools and the spirits. One particular man was overcome by emotion as he told of how he was taken to the school and had his hair cut by force. Many tribes of Native Americans considered long hair to be a sign of being older and wiser in men. In women, long hair was considered desirable by most members of these tribes. Forcing a tribe member to cut their hair is comparable to taking their identity.

As with all of the Booth's previous paranormal docs, history is researched and revealed during recreations on screen.The Booth Brothers are brilliant filmmakers, they direct/write/produce and edit. They also do the original music for their films available on iTunes and CD Baby.

Soul Catcher is a special documentary as it gives a voice to those who were never able to speak for themselves. This film is highly recommended to anyone interested in the paranormal as well as those who study history.

Christopher Saint Booth talks about Soul Catcher Trail of Fears by Tina Carreiro, Paranormal Movie Examiner. Booth brother, Christopher Saint Booth, CEO of Spooked TV, documentary filmmaker, writer and much more talked with Tim Yancey, host of Encounters Live last night about how they got started and their latest Booth Brothers film, Soul Catcher.

The Booth brothers began making films in the 80’s starting with the Playboy channel, where they made around 59 films. Wanting to follow their true passion, they made the leap to the paranormal in 2005 with Death Tunnel that is based on actual accounts of ghost sightings at the Waverly Hills Sanitarium in Louisville, Kentucky. They simultaneously filmed the documentary, Spooked the Ghost of Waverly Hill Sanatorium, which gained the attention of the Si-fy network and their work with Spooked TV was born.

Booth, talked about the love and passion behind filming paranormal documentaries. Putting real people and filming at the actual documented locations means a lot to the brothers. Capturing the hardship and emotional stories from the people that are the foundation of the Booth’s films brings realism to the forefront of their movies. Having control of their work has made each film special. They pride themselves on trying to bring the best quality to their films for the people that love them. Christopher Booth takes it a step further and states: “We appreciate the fact that people love our stories and I can tell you, I don’t care how much money we don’t make. We’re never gonna do a 22 minute or 52 minute reality show that is garbage.”

Fans of the Booth brother’s are in for a treat, and luckily they pour their passion into the paranormal genre because Soul Catcher, their latest film, will take you on a wild spiritual ride. The Booth’s have tagged this film as their biggest, epic, Supernatural Adventure to date.

Booth gives us some insight on what to expect from the latest film. Soul Catcher starts out in the Mojave desert where they get into a 1939 German spy plane and fly across the desert to land in the lake beds to look for the medicine wheel, which they do find. The film deals with the haunting of the earth and they pulled EVP’s from the ground in several locations. They stopped in El Reno, Oklahoma and filmed the Indian boarding schools that are haunted by the spirits of Indian children and elementals outside, animalistic, the one’s with green eyes and growling, shadows 20 feet high, skinwalkers, shapeshifters and the legend of deer women.

The Native American interviews will describe the real tragedies which encompass the school house haunting as well as the legends that the Indians believe and the ones that are made up to protect their tribes from other tribes and cowboys. Interesting EVP’s from the schools will be played and those EVPs are not in English.

The Booth Brothers are creators of cutting-edge, award-winning documentary/dramas including the theatrically-released “The Haunted Boy: The True Story of the Exorcist” (2010), “The Possessed”, “Children of the Grave”, and “Spooked: The Ghosts of Waverly Hills Sanatorium”, and feature films such as “Dark Place” and “Death Tunnel” (Sony Pictures). The Haunted Boy The Secret Diary of the Exorcist review Travis Brown. St. Louis Horror Movies Examiner. So if you were in St. Louis around Halloween and you happened to drive by the Tivoli theatre in the world famous Delmar loop you may have noticed on October 21stand October 28ththere were huge lines of people waiting see a documentary brought to you by the fabulous team of the Booth brothers and their associates of Spooked TV productions. The reason this documentary hits home a little more than most in our fair city is due to the fact it was about the tale of a young boy who was brought to St. Louis to have demons exorcised from him. Some know it as the tale that influenced the book and hit move The Exorcist but after seeing this documentary it stands alone as its own film and it is called The Haunted Boy.

St. Louis has a rich history of paranormal phenomenon. From the school yards of Alton Illinois to the Lemp mansion our fair city has many tales and urban legends that cover St. Louis and the surrounding areas landscape. Lemp being the most famous for ghost hunting and occurrences has always stood out but many know and remember a story of a young boy who was brought to St. Louis and he was believed to be possessed by demons. Let me start off by saying this, “thank you Booth Brothers.” Thank you for bringing to light a tale that has baffled me for years on how everything went down involving the boy, Alexian Brothers Hospital, St. Vincent and the Bel-Nor House. Due to the popularity of the fore mention brewery house the tale of the Haunted Boy sometimes gets lost in the St. Louis supernatural shuffle. Not by these guys standards though. Some people make documentaries and some make films. Well I will say for sure that even though this was made as a documentary with true accounts, this is a film, and a well done one at that. Now I’ve heard of the brothers but had never seen their work. After seeing this film I can say that this film is a documentary to the second power. This is not your everyday “Most Haunted Places” type vision like you would see on A&E or the Travel Channel and also not just a run around with negative light camera ghost hunters’ episode as well. This is an in your face well done telling of some strange happening in St. Louis, most swept under the rug but was brought to life by the finding of one diary. This diary was written by the overseeing Father of the exorcist Father Borden. Borden was a teacher and catholic priest in St. Louis and was asked to come to the house of the boy who was possessed. They eventually moved the exorcism to the old Alexian Brother’s hospital and that’s when it really kicked off. The Booths bring to light the knowledge that the Vatican had on the happening here in St. Louis and what was done to take care of this exorcism and also to keep the happenings under wraps. The boy was kept on the fifth floor of the old hospital in the insane asylum area and there were many reports of screams and strange paranormal activities happening on the floor and in the boy’s room. There is even an account that this room was so haunted that even the furniture was damned. The Booths did a good job showing the background history of the priest who conducted the exorcism. He was a pillar of the St. Louis community and but after certain tragedies in his life had somewhat lost faith in the church yet his will was still strong. Being a fan of the Exorcist film the lost of faith was something that immediately struck out to me as significant as a parallel between this documentary and the film. I remember the father who assisted with the priest in the Exorcist movie lost his mother and also had lost some faith in the church and it made it easy for the demon to torment him with lies during the exorcism. I like that Haunted Boy chose to go in the direction of claiming that the boy was just a vessel to get at the priest here in St. Louis who had lost faith. After many hearings of the tale that was one of the first times I heard that particular scenario. I always wondered why the boy came to St. Louis and I know the tale of the raised scars on his body spelling out the word Louis, but I thought it was due more to his relatives that lived here but the more I watched the documentary it made sense that the demon was able to use the boy to seek out what it really wanted Father Borden.

The Booths were able to not only show and document what happened at the Alexian Brother’s hospital but also to take you to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Normandy Mo. Also inhabiting the 5thfloor (which seems to be a common thing) which eventually became a housing project. Even decades after the boy left St. Vincent they were reports from tenants of weird noises in the building and a lot of commotion on the fifth floor. The creator of the housing project even had to promise the nuns not to occupy the fifth floor once they started acquiring tenants. Never has there been so much of this tale and even to bring in experts and contact the demon in the house at Bel-Nor was a sight to see its self and the section with lady and the crystals were unbelievable. The Booths are know in the industry as rock stars of the paranormal community and believe me they don’t disappoint. They spoke to many experts in the film that dealt with demonic possession including one young man that still exorcised demons to this day. He went over the telling that he researched and what heard hear about the accounts and they all point to the fact that this was a true American exorcism one that had never been seen like this before. I know there are many skeptics out there, but I have believed this to always be true. I’m just happy that finally the story of the Haunted Boy is being told the right way.

There is so much I can say about this film but no matter what I say it really wouldn’t do it justice. See the thing is about a documentary like this when you write a review just want to tell people that it’s worth seeing or a snoozer and I can say this film caught my attention from beginning to end. It hit home on so many levels especially since I live one neighborhood over from the Bel-Nor house. All in all I say that the Booth Brothers are definitely worth paying attention too and I’m already locating their previous films to watch as well. All the guests in this movie were genuine and they all had so much to say. The information at times is quite overwhelming but well worth it. I would have liked to see a little more on the history of the boy and his family but the telling of his aunt introducing him to Ouija boards and the like allowed me to understand how these certain events came to be. This will be premiering on SCFY TV and I would request that you all see it not just us Missourians. Yikes, just in time for Halloweeeeeen…is the newly-released “The Haunted Boy.” This is taken from the diary of the priest who performed the exorcism which became the basis for the previous movie, “The Exorcist.” The producers of “Haunted Boy” have some very scary tales to tell about what has happened as they filmed and even now. And one shocking fact they tell sticks in my mind: The furniture upon which the boy slept and which was in his room is being kept locked away in a secure facility in Illinois……..

AOL News: The 1973 film “The Exorcist” is regarded as one of the scariest movies of all time. But what’s even spookier is the true story of the real-life exorcism that inspired it. With that in mind, paranormal filmmakers Philip and Christopher Booth set out to make “The Haunted Boy: The Secret Diary of the Exorcist,” based on the infamous, truly terrifying story of a 13-year-old boy who was allegedly possessed by the devil in St. Louis in 1949.

To delve into the gritty details, the twin filmmakers went straight to the source: tracking down an old, secret journal written by the Rev. Raymond J. Bishop, one of the priests involved in the original exorcism of the boy, who’s known by the pseudonym “Robbie Mannheim.” Spooked TV/The Booth brothers’ new movie, “The Haunted Boy,” stars actor Justin Goodrich.

“There are only six copies of the real, unedited diary floating around the world,” Christopher Booth told AOL News. “It’s a raw, 26-page account of what really happened to that boy, and it’s very intense.”
So what really happened to inspire William Peter Blatty’s “Exorcist” horror novel and one of the most frightening Hollywood movies of all time?

The Booth brothers said the real-life exorcism case began with a boy in Maryland who developed extremely strange behavior and markings on his chest, one of which supposedly read “St. Louis.”
The twins said the boy’s family took it as a sign to seek help in Missouri where they had extended family. The youngster stayed at an uncle’s house, and there, as the diary reveals, the apparent possession spiraled out of control.

“It started to get really scary, with the boy screaming and growling all night, keeping the neighbors up,” Philip Booth explained. “So they took him to an asylum and eventually to Alexian Brothers Hospital, where the exorcism was finally successful.”
Along the way, however, the Booths said incredibly chilling things occurred.

“Fourteen signed witnesses saw the boy’s bed levitate. The kid broke a priest’s nose and threw five grown men off him during a failed exorcism attempt,” Christopher said. “The diary also explained how the boy would write everything the devil told him to say on his bedsheets. He even drew a map of hell,” Philip added. And the spooky stuff doesn’t stop there. After going through Bishop’s secret diary and deciding to make a movie about it, the Booth brothers experienced their own paranormal encounters.
Along with a team of professional ghost hunters, including St. Louis-based Paranormal Task Force leader Greg Myers, the Booths visited every single location tied to the boy’s exorcism, including his bedroom. They said they set up electronic equipment to catch any paranormal sights and sounds, and what they got back was spine-tingling.
“We got a clear EVP [electronic voice phenomena] in the boy’s room that was in some other language. When we had linguists study it, they determined that it was Persian for ‘I am Lord, I am master,’ ” Christopher said. “One of the first signs of possession is speaking in unfamiliar languages.”

For their latest spooky flick, “The Haunted Boy,” paranormal filmmakers Philip and Christopher Booth explored the real, untold story that inspired “The Exorcist” book and movie. Needless to say, they haven’t been sleeping too well ever since.
They also spent some time tracking down the original furniture from the boy’s bedroom, including the bed that allegedly levitated and a desk that is said to have moved on its own. “To this day, the furniture is locked up at a military base in Illinois under strict guard. They wouldn’t let us see it, but we interviewed the people who moved it into storage,” Philip said. “It has to be some pretty powerful furniture to have it under lock and key like that.” “The Haunted Boy” will have its world premiere just days before Halloween, on Oct. 28 at Tivoli Theater in St. Louis, and the Booths are confident it’ll leave viewers thoroughly freaked out. “I still see black shadows in my room after making the movie,” Christopher lamented. The flick is also available on DVD, and — get this — it comes with a copy of the 26-page diary that made it all possible.
