Analogfish’s release of the single “Dakishimete” on Soundcloud yesterday is rewarded with an official anti-video. Yep. If ever there is a reason to say “Here’s a video.” Well, here’s a video.

More interesting is the music, and “Dakishimete” sounds like a very tinkle-y version of a Coldplay song. A very good Coldplay song I must say. It’s acoustic and kind of drowsy. Sleep it in!

HOTSQUALL will jump on a rocket and fly for you today in their latest single “Like The Star.”

It’s more pop punk, but the pace is great, the back vocals are nice and I just plain like this song. The PV also has some nifty animations of the band as puppets creating a rocket that flies through space that is super cute.

LITE and Caroline from Mice Parade unite for a spectacular live performance of “Arch.”

“Arch” swoons gently in the breeze with Caroline’s vocals for much of the track before LITE eventually picks up the beat and pops into a killer guitar jam session. The only thing cooler than this is Caroline’s Mork from Ork Nanoo Nanoo shirt.

I think everyone can imagine what was said by the lead singer of Wasureranneyo to get face slapped.

These mischievous bastards are back with another roadside quickie for “Kono Machi Ni Ha Kimi Ga Inai.” This punk track is so fast the bassist doesn’t stick around very long. He just runs off into the night.

Wasureranneyo’s self titled album was released on 3.7.2012. If you haven’t already, buy it at CDJapan. It’s an awesome album.

Xylophones. And Dance!

If Apple ever wanted to bring back iPod dancing, they could probably just show Yucca’s video for “xylophonic stream.” It’s a rather infectious vibe. Watching your girl dance with her phone at night might make you get out of your seat. Time to shake it to some xylophones.

The track is more that just xylophones, we get some organs, guitars, drums and eventually some minor vocals. It reminds me of an organic version of Mop of Head. Love it!

Berets! Venice Gondola shirts and scarves! Art snobbery! Plastic Girl in Closet might looks like mod-rockers, but their output is still dreamy shoegaze rock that’s a bit more jangly this time around in “Bang!”

3style want you to remember the last concert you went to where you were stuck in the very back of the club and couldn’t see shee-it. Actually there is no obstruction of view. You’re just stuck at a severe distance from all the rocking in 3style’s “Wagokoro.”

The track is a guitar escalator ride with stomping feet drums that should shake the average pedestrian.  The higher voiced harmonies are also nice. Wagokoro is only one track and you’ll have to ride it over to Tower.jp to grab it out 5.23.2012.

YUEY come back with another video! This time it’s their song “make some hope” which is a studio recorded video. These guys know how to play. The guitarist just murders a guitar solo in cold blood showing that they have what it takes even though they are still under-rated, even by indie standards.
