Remembrance And Armistice Days - Support Those That Fight For Our Freedom

This post goes out on Remembrance Sunday and Wednesday is Armistice Day, both times to remember the fallen of the wars but also a time to remember those that have, are or will be fighting to keep us safe and may need our support once they return from the dangerous places of the world.

Being of British origin I am mainly focusing on the fund raising efforts of The Royal British Legion with the Poppy Appeal but I know that many people who read this blog of not of UK origin and so I have taken a selection of organizations of other countries, that where suggested for this post last year, and will list them towards the end of this post. If you have any suggestions for other organizations, please make a comment listing their address and I will add them to the post

The Royal Army Medical Corp

For the appeal this year I thought that I would focus on the work of the RAMC, who are representative of military medical staff of many armed force from all over the world, who's job it is to get as many casualties of war back home in the best state of health that circumstances will allow.

From medics working on the ground, directly with the combat troops, casualties are usually handed on to MERTs (Medical Emergency Response Teams).

Then to field hospitals and once their conditions have been stabilized there, onwards to hospitals in the UK.

The RAMC are often working in dangerous conditions, very often come under fire and put their lives at risk to do their best to get the casualties back home and the same can be said of the military medical services of of other countries.

Once the medical services have gone to all that effort and risk to get those casualties home it is up to us, the people that those people have been fighting to protect, to give our aid and support to those organizations, such as the The Royal British Legion with the Poppy Appeal, that help council and aid those veterans with help with treatment, going back into the community and any legal advice and battles that they may face. All that you have to so is buy a poppy, drop some coins in a box, make a donation on line or volunteer your own time and effort.

Remember, if your sleeping safe and sound tonight, it is because others have and are still fighting to make that possible. Support those that fight for our freedom.

OK this isn't in any way spanking or BDSM related but I just had to share this. Apparently a house of delights in Berlin, that has been suffering a little because of the world financial situation, has decided to play the green card. The Maison d' envie is offering a five Euro discount to customers who can prove that they came seeking their nocturnal delights using eco friendly transport, namely by bus or bicycle.

Regina Goetz, who runs Maison d' envie is quoted as saying "The environment is a topic on everyone's lips and it's pretty difficult to park around here. So we came up with the idea of an 'eco discount' of five euros (7.40 dollars) to anyone who leaves the car at home,".

A Cowboy Whipping Clip

This may be an old clip but it is new to me. The crime "Attempting to steal another mans woman" the sentence "Forty Lashes" This clip is unusual for a main stream whipping, as it attempts to show an actual whipping, rather than facial shots or crowd reaction. A British Army style Cat O' Nine Tails

This is the closest modern equivalent that I have seen of those British army cat o' nine tails, that you see in the old illustrations. Notice the long handle and the knotted ends to the tails. It is not just the cat that I would like to try, it is the whole ceremony. The battalion paraded on three sides of a square with the triangle and punishment detail forming the fourth side. There is only two things that I would like to change from the original scenario. 1/The real cats would have their tips hardened to deliberately draw blood and cause life long scaring, I would not like life long scaring, so no hardened tips thank you. 2/ The punishment was usually delivered by male drummers of the regiment, I would prefer female drummers but still in the period uniform :)
Tied to the triangle the drums rolling as two drummer girls deliver the 300 lashes and an officer keeps count, as the whole battalion watches. The thought of it makes my spine tingle.

Asking for a little help

The November page

The image for the November page of the blog calendar was found at Over Her Knee. It is by an artist who goes by the name of Underling, who is very skilled at telling a whole story in a single image. This picture had my mind whizzing the moment that I saw it :)

As always the calendar is formated to be printed on an A4 piece of paper, so why not print one off and give it to a senior female member of staff at work, it may inspire her to come up with a far more interesting disciplinary code than is used at the moment.

An Honest Blogger - A Meme Post, With A Clip At The End

For those of you who do not like meme posts, there is a clip at the bottom of this post that has a kinky spanking near the end ;)

I'm not sure who she is but that woman talks me into doing meme post every time.

I picked up this meme from open invitations on two blogs, in these posts An Honest Blogger and Honest Blogger. Basically you are supposed to tell the rest of the blog world ten honest facts about yourself. I thought that I would put a little twist on that and tell you ten honest facts about myself and writing a spanking blog (if you don't like it you can spank me - volunteers welcome).

Ten honest facts about myself and my relationship with this blog

1/ I hate writing the most popular posts on this blog - In the stat counter, the posts that show up most often and are still being read, sometimes years after they where posted, are posts containing "Goodbyeeees". I cannot take a blog of the rolls without saying a little farewell and thank you and I suppose that with so many people searching for these blogs, for so long after they are gone, means that the Goodbyeeees are providing a service to some people who want to find out what happened to these blogs. But I hate writing them.

2/ I procrastinate a lot when writing posts - there is always another blog that I want to check out or one last thing that I want to Google, just to make sure :)

3/ Blogging during a thunderstorm is very hard - My Lurcher (dog) is frightened of thunder and hides under the desk, when a storm is going on. This means that I cannot pull my chair up to the desk and I have to type leaning forward with my arms at full stretch to reach the keyboard.

4/ Nearly all of my posts are put in the scheduled posting list - Except the Saturday Blog Stuff Roundup, which is is usually posted as soon as it is finished, on a Saturday.

5/ My Monitor stands on a pile of cigar boxes - I was starting to get an achy back and worked out that it was from looking down at my monitor, whilst typing. I raised the monitor with cigar boxes to eye level and that solved the problem :)

6/ I smoke more when I am blogging - It helps me think OK!

7/ Dr Malford (my fictitious Headmistress) wants to do some posts but I won't let her - Well being ethereal I would be the one who would end up having to type them out for her and I just have not got the time *sticks tongue out*.

8/ No matter how busy I am, there are two blogs I absolutely have to read every time that they post - The journey and Spanked, not silenced (Pandora Blake). That pair cost me so much time, that I just do not have.

9/ I hoped that this blog would help me meet more spankos and kinksters but it has not - No, it has not helped in meeting one person face to face but it has had other benefits (or I would not keep blogging).

10/ This blog has helped me overcome some issues with a literacy condition - Notice that I say condition and not problem, it is something that is of great help when taking in the written word (I cannot remember a time that I could not read, because this condition meant that I learned to read, without being taught, at an alarmingly young age) but when writing, it does make it difficult to get whats in my head to appear in words, I cannot spell and my grammar is awful (she swears and spits all the time). Although the writing on this blog is mediocre at best, even being able to write at that level of quality is a bit of a triumph for me. I would have never have gained the confidence to write so much so often without the incentive that writing this blog has given me.

Men In Pain - A Review Of An F/m BDSM Paysite

I review as a paying customer - I do not except free memberships in exchange for reviews. I am not participating in any affiliate programs and make no money from sites that I review. I paid for a membership of Men In Pain and am reviewing it as a paying customer.

The guys at Men In Pain are paid - I do not review F/m pay sites that do not offer their male bottom/sub models some form of financial renumeration. Men In Pain pays their models a fee for their time and work. F/m sites that do not compensate their male models for their time and work are abhorrent to me and I will not join an F/m site that expects it's male models to appear without some form of renumeration.

Introduction - Men In Pain is an F/m BDSM site from the Kink.com group of pay sites. This site specializes in the bondage, domination and pain subjected on men by female Dommes.

Costs and billing - The credit card receipt showed the billing company to be C.E.LLC. At the time that I joined it cost € 21.43 for a thirty day recurring membership, no 30 day non recurring membership was available. A currency converter is available, at the bottom of the side bar to the right, if you want to convert the costs into a currency more familiar to yourself.

Content form and accessibility - Once you have logged into the site the material is presented in a multiple page format, chronologically ordered from most recent material on the first page to older material on the successive pages. There is also a search option for those that wish to see all material featuring one particular Domme or Sub.

The content is downloadable in multiple formats, I chose to download in WMV and it's HD version. It has to be said that the video quality on this site is the best that I have encountered to date. The standard WMV downloads gave a better quality image than I have experienced from HD downloads on other sites. The HD downloads are of slightly better quality but for my 22" monitor, the increase in video quality was so finite that it was not worth the extra time and disc space for the HD downloads. If you are intending to watch these videos on a giant screen, the HD download may be worth your while but otherwise the standard WMV download is as much as you will need.

Marketing - This is a very well promoted site but as always, with F/m sites, it is not as well promoted as M/f and F/f material from it's producer, Kink.com.

Content in General - The content sometimes has a short preamble to play but the action starts very shortly once the scene has started. Some of the scenes are in domestic settings but most are in dungeon scenarios. The scenes involve multiple play elements such as bondage, CBT, corporal punishment impact play, waxing and other types of play. There is a high emphasis of the sexual content of the scenes and there is always at least one sexual interaction shown, such as masturbation, anal sex performed on the male or oral and/or full sex involving the Domme. The play can get quite heavy but it is unusual to see blood or extreme marking. There is normally a pre and post play interview with the people involved in the scene, this is usually interesting and sometimes informative.

The scenes are very well shot, edited and produced in excellent settings, reflecting the resources available to this production company.
There is a huge amount of material available on this site, far more than I could find time to download, during the time of my membership. The content is updated weekly with a full mini film, which can be downloaded as a complete film or as shorter clips. There are always plenty of photographs to download alongside the video material. The quality and quantity of the material on this site is very high and it I found it difficult to find a scene that I did not find interesting on some level and I am a spanko not a BDSMer, so it is impressive how my attention could be held by content that would normally be not my type of thing.

The Dommes - There are a large number of Dommes who have or are working for this site, of varying sizes shapes and playing styles. If you don't like something about one Domme, don't worry there will be plenty of other Dommes on this site that will suit your tastes.

The Subs - Almost all the subs on this site show their faces and have scene names, giving them a level of followability for fans. Many of the subs make repeat appearances here and that gives the viewer a chance to get an idea of their playing styles and play personalities. There are several body and facial types of subs appearing on this site so I hope that anyone looking for a bit of male eye candy will be able to find what they are looking for. It is hard to be sure from this side of the screen but from what I have heard and from documentaries that I have seen at Behind Kink.com, it is indicated that the male subs are treated with the same respect and consideration as the female subs working for Kink.com and this is positively reflected in the performances of the guys working on this site.

Conclusion - This site delivered a hell of a lot in terms of quality and quantity of material, most of which was very interesting to watch. I was very happy with my membership of this site and feel that I got a lot of value for my money. I am a spanko and not a BDSMer and there are a few things that I could have taken issue with on this site (lets face it BDSM types usually haven't got the first idea about how to use a cane) but this was well compensated for by other elements of play here ( these BDSMers could teach us spankos a thing or two about how a flogger should be swung) and even if some of this stuff was not to my tastes, there was plenty of interesting play to compensate for this. If your into F/m BDSM play I suspect that you will be very happy with this site. For spankos there is still much that is interesting here and this site gives an excellent opportunity to have a look at the play lives of our closest kink cousins.

My apologies for my enforced absence from blogging

On Friday my modem went to computer accessory hell and it managed to die in such a spectacular manner that it tripped some kind of safety cut off switch at the distribution box, leaving myself and a few of my neighbors (who are using the same connection system) without internet, main telephone and television connection (the past four and a bit days have been like living in the stone age). The cartoon at the start of this post is very true, my house has not been this clean and tidy for years (I hate it, it is like living in a hospital). Hopefully it will be back to business as usual now, with a Thought For The Day on Friday. My apologies to those who missed my regular posting.

I tend to fly very high and for a long time and this Thought was written while I was as high as a kite and sitting on a very sore back side. My apologies, I was going to write a review of an F/m site yesterday (Sunday) to be posted today. YouTube had other ideas though, it decided that a video clip for my vanilla blog (lasting about 1 min 15 secs) needed to take over two and a half ours to upload (instead of the usual 10 to 15 mins) and as I use my vanilla Google account to use YouTube for that blog and have found that being logged into two Google accounts at one time is not a good idea, this robbed me of the precious time needed to write the review. Hopefully I will find time to write the review later in the week or will do it for next week. So for today I have had a rummage around my hard drive and come up with some funnies for a Monday post. I hope you all enjoy them, if not write a stern email to YouTube.
