Thanks to all who came to the Sylvie Theater for our show with the Blue Dogs! It was an incredible musical experience for all of us in South85 and we can't wait to do it again on December 26 at the Neighborhood Theater. Don't miss it twice!

The 3rd Annual South85 Interstate Jam is Almost Here! Saturday November 21st
A couple of years ago, we decided as a group to host our own special concert event, helping showcase bands from the Carolinas. Each year we hope to expose new music to new fans. We always aim to include acts that “cross the lines” of the Carolinas up and down that charging I-85 Interstate! This year we are excited to announce the lineup will include The Smokey Joe Show and John Howie Jr and the Sweethearts! John Howie Jr (of the Two Dollar Pistols) and Billie Feather (of Darnell Woodies) join up for a special duo performance for us! South85 will of course close the evening down and it all will be taking place at our favorite honky-tonk Pucketts in Charlotte, NC. Tickets will be $10 and we hope you all can come out for an early Thanksgiving break shindig!

Our next stop will be at Red's Gone Country Tavern in Monroe onSaturday, 11/07/2009. Come out and join the fun if ya can!

10/14/2009 - Mac's Speedshop CANCELLED

Hello again friends! Unfortunately our show scheduled for tonight, 10/14 at Mac's Speedshop has been cancelled due to rain, but don't let it stop you from heading to Mac's and enjoying the best BBQ in town

On the bright side of things, South85 will be playing at the Pineville Fall Festival this Saturday, 10/17 from 7pm - 10pm. The forecast is sunny and 60 deg. so be sure to come out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather with us!

Next Friday, 10/23, we are very excited to be opening for one of the Carolinas' most successful acts, The Blue Dogs, at the Sylvia Theater in York, SC. Come out and wear your South85 gear for a fun night of great music! hope to see you all there!

17th Annual Moonshiners' Reunion Festival

The leaves are changin' and the air is cooler, letting us know that fall is here, and more importantly that it's Moonshiners' time again! Time to get that tent out of the garage, pack a cooler or three of ice cold refreshments, throw that old acoustic guitar or mandolin in the back of your car and head to Campobello, SC for the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

South85 returns to the Moonshiners' Reunion Festival on October 3rd and 4th this year and we are ready to rock the Plum Hollow stage again!

Finally, South85 will be appearing at this year's Matthews Alive Festival next Saturday, 9/5/09. This is our first time at Matthews Alive and we are all very excited to be a part of it. 7/30/2009 - Weekend In Black Mountain, NC!

Howdy Friends,
We want to thank everyone for showing their support at The Knothole last weekend for our friend Jane Medler who is currently battling breast cancer. We had a great turnout and a lot of fun playing this benefit. We love ya Jane!

This weekend we will be traveling to Black Mountain NC near Asheville. Black Mountain is a cozy getaway with lots of cute shops and restaurants. Friday night the Bill Noonan Band will be playing at The Town Pump and our maestro Mike Bader will be sitting in with him on bass! Then South85 takes the stage Saturday evening there for our first time at the Pump. We are very excited and will have our friend Luke Edwards (formerly of Tater) opening up on acoustic with some brand new songs! It is going to be a rockin weekend. We hope you will join us all for the fun! If you need a place to stay, check out the Super 8 nearby!

Hello Friends! We hope everyone is enjoying their summer and catchin some rays! We'd like to remind everyone that we will be back this coming Wednesday to Mac's Speed Shop on South Blvd in Charlotte, NC. This is their weekly Bike Night and we set up outside on the patio. It's lots of fun for the whole family and they have great food & beer!

We're also very excited to be invited back once again to Taterfest by our "High Test Hillbilly" rockin friends, Tater. This year's fest will be down at the Plum Hollow farm in Campobello, SC. We're excited to announce we'll be joining Little Texas, who has scored a handful of hits in the 1990s such as the rollicking “God Blessed Texas” and the soulful ballad “What Might Have Been” Friday evening May 8th! This will be an outdoor show at the newly renovated Old Town Amphitheater @ City Hall in Rock Hill, SC. Tickets are only $20! South85 is gearing up to play the city’s biggest after-work block party in Spartanburg, SC! We are super excited to play this event next Thursday April 9th for our hometown friends and family. Here's a big thanks from South85 to everyone that came to Puckett's on 3/14/09! We were blown away by the turnout and support that you all showed us. We'd also like to send a special thanks to Gary Puckett for having us once again, Jeff and Cam of Academy Street Productions for doing a killer job with sound, The Turnstiles for sharing the stage with us, our manager Walter Stuart for his neverending support and guidance, and Glenn Friedman of The Music Umbrella for taking time out of his schedule to fly out and see us perform! We are very excited to announce that South85 has signed with Glenn Friedman of the Music Umbrella. The Music Umbrella has come on board as South85's consultant and licensing company based in lovely Santa Monica, Cali. Glenn is a major figure in the music industry and has worked with such artists as AC/DC, Anita Baker, The Oak Ridge Boys, Wynonna Judd, and some of the industry's best songwriters.
