Allah says He never destroys people who have some sense of justice....many ppl r saying the floods and other natural disasters r Allah's wrath....I really don't know...cuz the corrupt elite never suffer...it's the poor man who has nothing to begin with and then loses his dignity as well...
Or is it that Allah says 'do not oppress and do not b oppressed...' and the fact that we r waiting like lambs to the slaughter....
Is it because we have given up our souls to this world....is that why Allah is mad at us....

Listening to Geert Wilders and reading the comments of the idiots who like him, made me realise that logic etc don't count anymore. Nor does appealing to someone's sense of justice or their humanity.
These qualities don't seem to exist anymore.
There is too much hate.
Barnaby Rogerson comments in his book that throughout history the evil ppl have always had more power and the good people r always overshadowed-and the evil deeds take a firmer place in history than the good ones.
I tried making some ppl understand that Islam isn't what the TTP and AlQaeda talk about. But no one wants to listen. Everyone seems to b happier hating and resorting to violence.
Its a vicious cycle-hate breeds hate, violence breeds violence and breaking this cycle is nearly impossible.
Or r we just too lazy to try????

Just finished reading 'The Jesus Family Tomb'-its remarkable- but the most remarkable aspect is that there has been hardly any reference to the book in the media given the importance of its findings.
For people who have read 'Da Vinci's code' and made the effort of reading 'Holy Blood and the Holy Grail', this book is a must.
for muslims, the fact that Jesus was not divine is given- but it is still very interesting for those who say that Jesus has to return. their argument is that Jesus was 'lifted' to the heavens-he did not die a normal death etc etc.
In any case-its a good read, and i'm still amazed that no one has talked about this book-or mayb i just missed it.

Coming to whats going on in our country-as usual our pathetic government is clueless as to what needs to b done and who is behind these attacks- the game doesn't involve just the Talibans-there r too many players with different motives.

And ABove ALL is the great hand that is playing these games- Pakistan is just a pawn, and its people r dispensable. But who r these people? what secret societies exist in Pakistan?
Do many Pakistanis know that there r freemasons in our civil service-a gr8 many of them. A friend pointed out an old building on Mall Road Lahore that was supposed to the headquarters of this society- apparently there r some more 'sanctuaries' in GOR too. I don't know whether this is fact or fiction but reading all these books just makes it more real.
CIA agents, Mossad agents, RAW agents, Zionists r abundantly found in all walks of life. We don't need a detective to tell us that.....
How do they influence important decisions, what do they hope to achieve, why r they obsessed with control....

I don't understand this...how can anyone say that not believing in the coming of Imam Mehdi or Hazrat Isa makes one a kafir???or even questioning this belief means someone is not a muslim???
Since when did this become a pillar of Islam? where in the Quran or ANY hadeeth does it say that not believing in these two makes one a heretic????

There is no Quranic Ayah or authentic hadeeth supporting these two beliefs.
Many scholars say that this belief has its roots in Chritianity and Judaism. They r waiting for a Messiah.

What this belief essentially does is, takes the responbility off our shoulders- we don't have to do anything..just wait for these two to come and make everything right!!

Lord Nazir has said that Musharraf shud b tried by the International court of justice.
why doesn't he have the guts to say the same about other leaders who have looted and plundered the nation, killed innocent people mercilessly, brought this country to its knees...what about Altaf Hussain who is living in Lord Nazir's backyard????

And people r commenting on the property Musharraf has bought in London- by all standards its a modest purchase.Politicians here have 10 times that much money. The plots a general is given r enough to cover the property's worth.try purchasing a 2-3 kanal plot in F-6 or F-7 islamabad. Its the same price as the london property every one is complaining about...and the Surrey palaces and other mansions r just swept under the rug!!!

we can go on and on endlessly about why the world has reached this level of 'insecurity'.No one feels secure about anything.

The bottom line is simply that double standards (or shall i say multiple standards!!) r ruling the world. This is creating the unease, unrest and injustice around the world.

First example: The Issue of Kashmir
Let's go to the beginning- the Maharaja decided to go against the wishes of the muslim majority. This undemocratic action hasn't been condemned by the 'democratic' nations.
India has paid no heed to UN resolutions about plebicite- no action has been taken against it. Whereas the whole world is quick to impose restrictions on Iran for even 'thinking' about anything.
Human rights activists' reports on the barbarism of Indian troops in Kashmir r not even read. Whereas China/ Middle Eastern muslim countries r taken to task for human rights violations!!

Need i say more????

Second: The Holocaust
GOd am i sick to death of hearing about this! Did u guys know that there is a law banning anyone from commenting on the authenticity of the history of Holocaust? did u know that these laws allow no one to discuss the issue? or do any research on it?

Third: Democracy
The much touted democracy-yes the answer to all the problems of the world. The will of the majority. ahem. well when Iranians and Palestinians vote, its not acceptable.

You will watch the repeated coverage of the protests in Iran or china- maybe a few thousand people MAX....but when millions came out in protest of the Iraq war-just passing comments on how stupid people r..

This hypocrisy can drive one insane. And yes that is what is happening to the world. Its losing its sanity.

True to form, the nation is busy bad mouthing the ONLY non corrupt leader we have had in decades!!
Thats what we do as a nation- look what we did to Prof Abdul Salam- the whole world recognises his genius while we dishonored him and ignored his attempts to help the country.
Sure Musharraf made mistakes-he is only human. BUt look at his financial status. He hasn't made fortunes by selling off his homeland!
Compare him to EVERY other politician and he comes out looking like a saint!
I may have not agreed with some of his actions but one thing i have never questioned is his sincerity to Pakistan. He loves this country and he is taking the fall for the sake of his homeland. May Allah protect him and guide him always!

Why do most Pakistanis hesitate to have an opinion? why do we just become mouthpieces for western philosophy?

we have our own identity and ideology and yet we ape the west constantly.

This slave mentality and brown sahib complex has to go!! Just because the west adopts a lifestyle doesn't mean its the correct lifestyle. why don't we have the guts to point out the flaws? And while we do try to copy them in every way possible, we don't adopt the good things from their society..their honesty, their commitment to hard work,etc.

sometimes its just impossible to stay positive when one encounters the defeatist and the blatantly westernized minds.

PLease think for urself- read about your own religion rather than listening to people who r paid to distort Islam. Allah help us all.

Isn't Islam supposed to b without extremities??

I read the Quran, I say my prayers, I give Zakat, I never miss a fast without good reason, I try to make sure i never trample over anyone's rights. I try to b good.

So when these self proclaimed islamists say that i'm not a muslim and they are the only ones who know the real Islam, i get angry.

When did we let this beautiful religion get hijacked by these mullahs??Why didn't we protest when this hijacking was taking place???

Why don't the muslim ulema get together and exterminate this evil.

There is no coercion in Islam. Its supposed to b about tolerance and good behaviour, and guarding the innocents' rights, a system of justice that the world can envy..

Who gives these people the right to label ANYONE as a good muslim or a bad muslim! President Zia started this despicable culture of forcing people to follow rituals without the essence of religion.

How can anyone justify what the TTP r doing?? When the Quran says that taking an innocent life is forbidden, which Islam r these people talking about!!!

I am confused- what do the TTP want?
They claim that they r fighting for Sharia and an Islamic system but who r they trying to fool? Does Islam preach violence? Does it allow one to kill innocent people? Does it allow one to terrorize people into submission???

NO IT DOESN'T!!!!

Then what Islam r these people talking about? Arguing with TTP sympathisers is like talking to a wall- no, actually the wall might have more sense. These people talk about Islam like they r the supreme authority and all other people r idiots. Isn't that arrogance? A trait Allah despises? And the way the TTP slaughter innocent people? Isn't that cruelty? A trait our prophet (pbuh)abhorred??

This war was started by the TTP. They targeted innocent, defenseless people. And the army's job is to protect the citizens of Pakistan. Thats what it is doing.

If the TTP were sincere in their objective of aspiring for an Islamic system they would have started a peaceful campaign of enlightenment, education, setting examples of character, system of justice, honour, dignity etc. Their trigger happy psychology reflects who their true master is- Not Allah but RAW, CIA, Mossad etc.

ok so many might think this is a joke but seriously..the similarities r astounding!
for those who don't know, WWE is Wrestling..
During the media campaign leading up to the Iraq war the WWE actually brought 'arab/iraqi' wrestlers who wud 'break rules' and basically cheat and win.. gr8 way to get public support wouldn't u say???
when France opposed the US, guess which nationality was brought in? yup u guessed it...French wrestlers..
Then there r the mixed ones Indian/Pakistanis cuz most Americans can't tell the difference...thats when they want ppl to hate Pakistan..
Also a VERY interesting angle is the referee..i of course c him as the UN..and how whenever his back is turned, or he's just not noticing, there is mayhem in ring and its frustrating for the audience to digest that...but its a gr8 way of desensitizing ppl to injustice..
Also, if u don't listen to the commentary u'll realize that nothing is really going on but because of the dramatic commentary, we actually believe that something is happening..

In a book Henry Ford wrote about the change in the philosophy of labour. After reading i started thinking..
Is this why we're all unhappy with our jobs?
Is this why the world is facing this recession? because we don't make things and earn money?

The essence of the ....idea in its influence on the labor world is the same as in all other departments -- the destruction of real values in favor of fictitious values. The ....philosophy of money is not to "make money," but to "get money." The distinction between these two is fundamental. That explains ... being "financiers" instead of "captains of industry." It is the difference between "getting" and "making."

The creative, constructive type of mind has an affection for the thing it is doing. The ...worker formerly chose the work he liked best. He did not change employment easily, because there was a bond between him and the kind of work he had chosen. Nothing else was so attractive to him. He would rather draw a little less money and do what he liked to do, than a little more and do what irked him. The "maker" is always thus influenced by his liking.

Not so the "getter." It doesn't matter what he does, so long as the income is satisfactory. He has no illusions, sentiments or affections on the side of work. It is the "gold" that counts. He has no attachment for the things he makes, for he doesn't make any; he deals in the things which other men make and regards them solely on the side of their money-making value. "The joy of creative labor" is nothing to him, not even an intelligible saying.

Now, previous to the advent of .... socialistic and subversive ideas, the predominant thought in the labor world was to "make" things and thus "make" money. There was a pride among mechanics. Men who made things were a sturdy, honest race because they dealt with ideas of skill and quality, and their very characters were formed by the satisfaction of having performed useful functions in society. They were the Makers. And society was solid so long as they were solid. Men made shoes as exhibitions of their skill. Farmers raised crops for the inherent love of crops, not with reference to far-off money-markets. Everywhere THE JOB was the main thing and the rest was incidental.

The only way to break down this strong safeguard of society -- a creative laboring class of sturdy character -- was to sow other ideas among it; and the most dangerous of all the ideas sown was that which substituted "get" for "make."

The idea of "get" is a vicious, anti-social and destructive idea when held alone; but when held in company with "make" and as second in importance, it is legitimate and constructive. As soon as a man or a class is inoculated with strictly....idea of "getting" -- ("getting mine"; "getting while the getting is good"; honestly if you can, dishonestly if you must -- but get it" -- all of which are notes of this treasonable philosophy), the very cement of Duncan society loses its adhesiveness and begins to crumble. The great myth and fiction of Money has been forced into the place of real things, and the second step of the drama can thus be opened up.

Everyone is out on the streets because a girl was flogged (although some ppl r challenging the authenticity of that video)
AS a woman and a human being one is horrified at the 'barbaric' act...but i am not as concerned abt the punishment as i am about the procedure of justice..
who were the witnesses?
who was the judge?
who reported the incident?
was she allowed to defend herself?
I hate the Taliban and their brand of Islam BUT i do not trust the western vested interests who take every opportunity to malign Islam and create rifts..No one is happy abt the Swat peace deal and i wouldn't b surprised if this video was doctored to give the world a prejudiced view of that deal.
Why can't we rise up like this against the Drone attacks which r not 'flogging' but KILLING hundreds?
These drone attacks and America's injustice is leading to the terror attacks that we r facing at the moment- the suicide bombers r NOT coming here for any other reason but the fact that they r being funded and brain washed by the US/Israel/India..
its time we woke up and realised that making deals with ANY devil is not in our favor..be it US (which has stabbed us in the back repeatedly) or anyone else..
But protecting our country shud b our main concern..
We shud b asking for resignations of the idiots who r running this circus.

we tend to only focus on the politicians, bureaucrats etc when we think of power. But the beauty of what Orwell says lies in the fact that everyone at every level will use/abuse the little power he has.
Be it the Traffic policemen who will not let u go because he can; be it the doctor who will keep the patients waiting for hours because he knows they can't go anywhere else; or b it ur plumber, electrician, mechanic etc. who will watch u squirm when they have the upper hand.
Do we all do this at one point or another?
When we have the upper hand which path do we take?

Astronomy, Astrology or just plain baloney???

i've always ridiculed ppl who use astrology and astronomy to make decisions in their lives..and ofcourse i have absolutely no faith in the 'quack' astrologers etc who profess their ability to predict the future..
my skepticism is fueled by islam mainly- we're supposed to put our faith in Allah; we surrender to Him. He will choose the best path/future for us, provided we pray for it and do good deeds etc. By using these 'sciences' we not only display our lack of faith but also we become dependent to the point that we can't make decisions without the help of these astrologers etc.
And of course i question the accuracy of these ppl..e.g. My friend went to one of these people- after asking the relevant questions he exclaimed that my friend and her husband were not suited to each other, their stars didn't complement each other, and he said that the marriage should never have taken place! THEN he added, but you MUST make sure that this marriage doesn't break!!
uhhhhh...isn't that a contradiction???they'r not meant for one another but they MUST stay together??? and what's the use of the stars then?? isn't that a piece of advice most elders would give to any couple???
and another example...a numerologist's son got divorced..i was surprised so i asked why he hadn't 'seen' this coming..his answer was, he knew this was going to happen but he had hoped that with his reading of different verses etc he would b able to avert the inevitable!!!
my response..WHATEVERRRR dude!! That's why i don't go to these ppl and don't believe in this rubbish!!

Why is the world obsessed with muslims? or rather why is there so much hatred against the muslims?
Its not the Taliban or Al Qaeda and other such groups-i refuse to call them muslims- these ppl have been trained by 'foreign' and non muslim forces to bring a bad name to Islam.
Coming back to the point of WHY this obsession with islam?
lemme tell u that this is not a recent phenomenon..more than hatred, it is actually fear coupled with vengeance.
Fear because in their hearts they know that Islam is the true religion (both true Christians and Jews knew that the coming of Hazrat Muhammed (pbuh)was predicted in their sacred books). Vengeance because Islam took away the power from the clergy.

When islam became the dominant religion (in Arabia) because of its beautiful message and logic, the powerful ppl of the previous religions were obviously upset. The Jews because they were no longer the 'chosen' ones and the Christians because Islam negated their belief that Jesus was divine. The good Jews and Christians accepted Islam as a continuation of their own religion but the evil ones decided to bide their time and wait for an opportunity to strike back.
The present day hatred has been brewing for centuries- through the Crusades, through the Muslim conquests etc.
its been planned over centuries too- to malign Islam and make muslims the most hated nation.

Living Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged in the Fashion World

As Ayn Rand noted, we live in a world surrounded by Tooheys, James Taggarts, Wesley Mouches and other vile characters..
There r Roarks, Dagnys, Reardens etc. but sadly, unlike the books, there is no respite for these poor souls..
case in point..one young fabulous designer from Lahore who had the courage to challenge the status quo..
Ten years ago when she started her fashion house, our fashion scene was ruled by a handful of designers, 2-3 choreographers, literally 2 photographers and again a handful of models
The fashion shoots were monotonous- same models, same pose, blah blah
The 'designers' never did any pret, just bridals- none of them had retail outlets and most still don't!
When this new designer came out, she was called the Coco Chanel of Pakistan- that was b4 only 'pet' fashion critics started commenting on fashion.
Her success irked the established few-she brought in new photographers, models, make up artists etc etc. she had good intentions- she wanted the Pakistan industry to b as strong as India's.
Her dream can not b realized because the fashion industry is full of insecure, morally corrupt, unimaginative, non patriotic, selfish individuals who will do everything in their power to crush her. Yes they do it-at least they try again and again..they don't realise the power of faith in Allah.
She believes in herself, her good intentions and most of all, the will of Allah. and that's why she will never fail inshallah.

I actually want to thank this government for providing us with such comic relief amidst these trying times..the statements of the govt were jalebis as usual (seems like they've been trained by the best in US i.e. Bush's team!)and of course the first statement blatantly contradicted the next and so on..
Rehman Malik was in his element..i still can't get over the press conference where someone abused Zardari and it was barely audible- and our dear Mr Malik said it out loud for the whole world to hear!! hilarious..
another GREAT joke..by the minister of education..'Pakistan will achieve 100% literacy in 2015'..mayb it was a print error..he must have meant 2115 or something..or he actually forgot that 2015 is just 6 yrs away..
And shame is a word alien to all the politicians-as r words like- integrity, self respect, patriotism, honesty (just use the thesaurus for any words that r even minutely related to this list)
let's hope this development will mean something positive for this poor nation..
Everyone shud forget the past and focus on the future...
I am a cynic and have no expectations from this CJ- let's hope i am wrong.

The Villains always want to rule the world..

I'm always amused by the villains desire to rule the world- in every movie, cartoon etc.
I never took it seriously- i would always laugh it off- Why would anyone want to conquer the world?
But lately i've realized that the real villains in the world r not very different from the cartoon ones. And of course that makes sense bcuz after all, the cartoon also depict the real world i one form or another.
So i get it now- its not just cartoons. Ultimate power and ruling the earth is the common denominator for all villains.

Psychological Warfare

Defeating someone psychologically is easier- it takes up less resources- mayb more time but the result is far more lasting and i guess more rewarding. Its like winning the war rather than just a battle.
for example- the current Israel/Gaza conflict- israel won a long time ago..even b4 the first rocket was fired. Psychologically they rule- the whole world is imtimidated by them. The Arabs have been made to believe that they r helpless and useless. and they play their part convincingly enough! Because in their minds they r already weak- with every defeat these people become more afraid and hence helpless.
But that's the bigger game-
let's take relationships- its the same there- where wife beaters have devoted wives because psychologically these women have been defeated. Again, thats an extreme case- even in normal relationships the person who wins the psychology war will rule.
Is there a way to b psychologically stronger?? i mean r there push ups and training for that??
the only answer i can think of is a connection with Allah. Should defintely think more about this..

Allopathic psychology and white man's burden

The allopathic way of treatment displays the same arrogance and psychology as ‘the white man’s burden’…that is exterminate any civilization and its culture because only the white man is civilized and it is his duty to train the savages that inhabit the earth..history is replete with horrific episodes of whole civilizations being burnt to the ground after the white man arrived…and this psychology is reflected in their medicine.

Take for example anti biotics- they not only kill foreign bacteria but also harmless and friendly bacteria that is essential to one’s immune system…every medicine u pick up has a hundred side effects because these medicines don’t complement the natural system but work independently and hence affect the normal immune system as well..

Then these allopath doctors have the audacity to scoff at homeopathic medicine..its so ironic that they use the concept of homeopathy in their vaccinations etc but refuse to believe that homeopathic cures work..its sheer arrogance..like the white man himself..

A French scientist who proved through experiments that homeopathy works was judged by a scientist and a magician..A MAGICIAN!! All this was done to discredit his work..

Reminds me of ‘Atlas Shrugged’ and ‘Fountainhead’…

Apparently no one in this world is up to any good!

i actually liked Obama and i thought he was sincere..and now there's that youtube video of some historian talking about the Brezinski connection and what not!

ofcourse it makes no difference to us here cuz both republicans and democrats have a similar strategy for us..but for once i wanted to throw away the cynicism and believe that a good person has come into power.

we're a cynical generation..and justifiably so...we've seen too many betrayals..and it seems this is another one..it was sad to read americans commenting on this video..like one had written 'it was too good to b true' and i thought its become second nature for us to slip into this cynical mode...

its maddening to c that a handful of power hungry maniacs r destroying our world and our faith.

I am so sick and tired of the 'progressive' people.
i was reading the other day that Karan Johar is very happy that he could finally portray a gay couple without any problem from the censors..yeah thats cause India is modern..people don't have any issues with immorality!!
Why does progressive mean only two things i.e. showing too much skin/love scenes and showing gay relationships! am i mad or wrong to think that expanding horizons means much more!!
If this is the measure of progressiveness then the People of Sodom were way ahead of us weren't they?
I am sick of this politically correct line that its ok..let everyone choose their own lifestyle..excuse me but this logic is warped to the core.
And where are MY rights? my freedom of speech? My freedom to associate with whom I please? why do we have to b apologetic for having our priciples?
Every religion condemns both immodesty and gays..and yet we r told to accept both in the name of freedom...what's next? we'll b told that paedophiles can't help themselves..they r born that way and we must accept them????
Its a scary world..with these warped ideologies what r our children inheriting from us...i think its about time someone got up and told these gay rights activists and 'modern' people to SHUT UP and get lost!!

what happened in Mumbai was sad..the saddest aspect being that no one learns from past mistakes...how many innocent people have died as a result of this hatred..
but what is the cause of this hatred?? when will anyone analyze that?? killing a few terrorists does not solve any problems..as we've seen since this 'war on terror' started...the world is much more dangerous now..only because no one addresses the core issues..

thats the only problem...until there is injustice in the world, all the nuclear bombs or fancy ammunition can not help..
And this knee jerk reaction of India that whatever happens there is bcuz of Pakistan..thats just counter productive..look at what the terrorists have done to us...
its a global problem..and the resulting chaos is only because the root cause is still there.
there is too much misery in the world and these thoughtless reactions make it worse..
its as simple as-every action has a reaction.
when u keep pushing something,it will eventually push back...when we let injustice prevail, the affected people will b unjust too.
These r monsters we have created ourselves..the sooner we accept that, the sooner we can rid the world of injustice and hatred.
