People who over pluck or have naturally thinner eyebrows have been shelling out thousands of dollars for an operation that restores a fuller brow.

Ebay's Flash Sales

Ebay won't be the first to do it, but they certainly will be the biggest. The huge online company just announced that beginning in April they will start acting as a clearance house for retailers such as DKNY, Hugo Boss, and Cole Haan. Ebay will hold weekly sales called "Flash Sales" where subscribers will be notified via email of upcoming clearance sales. Buyers can sign in to Ebay and purchase items from these retailers at deep discounts for a limited time.

Taking it one step further, Ebay will also work to create a virtual outlet mall online. Department store Lord & Taylor has already signed up to participate as well as Brooks Brothers.

No doubt this online format for discount sales appeals to today's shoppers who are aggressively seeking out bargains year 'round, as opposed to the usual holiday clearance times.

If we had to guess we'd say Ebay will probably be very successful with this avenue. The brands they will promote are well known and millions of shoppers are already comfortable shopping through Ebay.

The latest U.K. beauty craze is a product mimicking snake venom that promises to take years off your looks by freezing your face.
Rodial's Glamoxy Snake Serum, which hits Henri Bendel and Space NK stores this week, takes a cue from the Southeast Asian temple viper by utilizing a neuropeptide (aptly named "syn-ake") that mildly stiffens facial muscles to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
The real viper's venom paralyzes its prey, but this chic snake oil (which does not include actual venom) also features anti-oxidants and oxygen-carrying agents that promise to plump aging skin and correct rough complexions.

Women beware.

Thinking that they look good doesn't guarantee that they are what they seem. A new manessories are here, Spanx for men. Yes,I can appreciate not having to look at all the pot bellies around town. For a guy to pluck down $58 dollars for a tee shirt you know he wants to look good, but I guess he is not ready to work for it. It kind of feels like cheating. I guess if us girls can do it so can they.

So is everyone watching the Winter Olympics? I get such a thrill seeing all the athletes walk in at the opening ceremony. Best of the dress undoubtedly was the American athletes with their Ralph Lauren uniforms. Did you notice the largeness of the logo? Shame shame Ralph!

Snowboarding magnate Burton has been contracted once again to design the Team U.S.A. snowboarding uniforms. Plaid is so in right now.

Because actual denim and flannel aren't the best materials for being in snow, the coat and "jeans" are made entirely from Gore-Tex to keep the team warm and dry. All in all it's a good look, I think.
Two American hockey's players did a little fashion design of their own.

Miller had "Miller Time" on the back of his helmet on Monday during practice and Jonathan Quick's helmet has "Support Our Troops" adorned on his mask.
According to IOC rule 51, no political propaganda or advertisements are allowed on equipment.
So much for creativity, rules are rules.

Winter woolens met beach bikini at VPL by Victoria Bartlett yesterday as the designer unveiled new hybrids: the sweater-kini and the sweater onesie.
Good luck taking a dip in one of these bathing beauties.
Firstly, the pool water would surely shrink this onerous one-piece around your body. And HELLO, ever hand-washed a cardigan? You need a forklift just to hang the thing to dry.
Plus, anyone who's ever gotten doused by a rainstorm while wearing a sweater knows that no amount of Chanel No. 5 can cover that wet dog smell.
Should a member of Chewy Chewbacca's family take a vacay in Saint-Tropez, this is the perfect piece.
But for the rest of us, hairy beachwear just looks scratchy, in all the wrong places (why bother getting a Brazilian, just to wrap yourself in hair?).
Knit one, hurl two.

The result? Many have figured out that spanning the price spectrum and providing a variety of styles is a powerful combination that could unlock pent-up demand.
"The bottom line is that the consumer wants value for the price," he says. "A lot of companies are making bags that are on the cusp of the trend for a much better price, and that has caused the majors to bring prices down. Most consumers felt they were overpaying before."

Oprah Winfrey calls his designs "works of art." Tim Gunn calls him "a prodigy" and "the next great American fashion designer." Only 24 years old, Christian Siriano was born to design.

The Christian Siriano for Payless Spring 2010 Collection is now available at payless.com, and hit the stores in mid-March, retails for $79.99.

Also included are satin platform pumps, ruffle flats, laceless sneaks, cutout booties and one patent handbag, ranging in price from $29.99 to $39.99.
Much like the fall 2010 collection, all the spring styles have been toned down from the looks that were shown on the runways, leaving many fans of Siriano's footwear feeling let down.

Chanel's New "It" Bag

This season's "It" bag is by Chanel. We know this is a blog for the budget conscious woman, but we can dream can't we?
The collection starts at $230 for a card holder and goes all the way up to $4,000 for an oversize leather tote. But since almost all the bags are reversible, it’s basically like a twofer.
The twofer puffers go from horizontal quilting on one side to the small, traditional diamond quilting on the other. Most reverse to red, because that’s the way Coco liked it. Coco Chanel lined her first classic “2.55” bag in burgundy so it would be easier to find things — and Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld kept that detail in this season’s collection.
The bags are sold out in Chanel’s New York boutiques, but the company is willing to ship overstock from its Miami, Los Angeles and Las Vegas stores.

Sarah Jessica Parker totes around one of Chanel's super-hot Coco Cocoon bags. In ultra-spongy nylon or smooth leather, it's the "it" bag which retails for $2,595.

It's a fashion must-have for any woman looking to indulge her inner couch potato.
A pair of pants designed to look like jeans - but feel like pajamas - is now on sale.
The aptly named PajamaJeans are made of a mixture of cotton and spandex with a gray jersey lining to provide a snug and relaxed fix, complete with pockets and rivets to give the illusion of trendy denim.
The creators behind this new clothing concept are apparently hoping to capitalize on the success of jeggings - the garment that's part jeans, part leggings.
I'm not so sure that these pants would be comfortable to sleep in, but to hang out in, I'm all for them. Price $39.95

February is National Heart Awareness Month, and since heart disease is the number one killer of women in this country - it's never too early to put the topic on your radar screen. This Friday, Go Red with your wardrobe! Whether it's a red dress, a red T-shirt, a red dress pin or red lipstick, show the world you support Go Red For Women, American Heart Association"s movement to help save women's lives.

In order to educate women about heart disease and stroke, the AmericanHeart Association has a subsidiary called ShopHeart and every year they sell a bunch of great products that donate back to the cause. One of my favorites is their MiniShoppingTote which at $10 is a bargain in itself.

Screen Actors Guild Awards

This Saturday 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were held in Los angeles, California. And as usual beautiful women galore wearing gorgeous dresses.
Mariah Carey wore a red assymetrical gown. Her earrings are spectacular! Love the divine tiny evening purse.

I thought that Sandra Bullock looked beautiful in her black gown from Alexander McQueen. Those vivid blue neck details made her look very fresh and young, and just a little bit vintage.

Penelope Cruz wore a simple black dress that showed off her figure.

Kate Hudson again opted for white. Looked good! This time it was a strapless sexy dress that was an elegant and sleek number (with a sequined panel) that better suited her youthful, slim and athletic shape. Maybe we shouldn't have shown the other white dress that she wore to the Golden Globes.

Julianna Margulies looked stunning in a floor length blue velvet Narciso Rodriguez halter dress.
