Since I started using Google Plus, I haven’t been updating this photo blog as often – it’s been more than a month, but seems longer.

Well, this picture is also taken a long time back. I took this back in 2004 while on a trip to Phuket Island, south of Thailand. I reprocessed the picture and rescued some highlights.

I took this photo of a dragonfly resting (well, I think it’s resting) a month ago. This is a crop of a photo taken at 200mm – approximately 2 meters from the subject.

This was part of a set of photos I took a couple of days back. This was one of a very few that turned out sharp enough — low light and my caffeinated hands ruined quite a few of them.

This is a HDR processed photo of Rio City Cafe in ‘Old Sac’ – Sacramento.

This photo was taken at Watson Lake, Prescott, Arizona back in May 2011. Prescott, at more than 5300 feet above sea level, is a quiet little town with a great (and somewhat cold) weather.

This picture has an added significance for me. When we, my uncle George and I, got to this place it was about 9 degrees but it started to rain just a few minutes after we got there. It was quite windy and the temperatures dropped quickly. Instead of heading back, we stayed and waited out. After the rain, we got the blue skies and some sun light for the above picture.

The above picture was taken at 5:43 pm.  Just an hour or so before that, it looked like the picture below. The picture below was taken at 4:36 pm.

Canon Powershot S 95

This was taken on my way to Lake Tahoe.  I didn’t want to stick out my EOS out of the moving car window to take it, so I used my compact Canon s95.

This bridge crosses Chao Phraya river on the southern side of Bangkok. This is actually in Samut Prakan province just south of Bangkok. I’ve seen a picture of this bridge taken during the day as part of an advertisement for a small riverside restaurant in a magazine, and wanted to take a few shots of it during the night.

I went there with my trusty EOS 50D, a stable tripod, and a remote release cable.  This spot was the safest place I could find that I could take some photos without being bothered.  I have to thank my friends for accompanying me to this place.
