Everyone who is struggling to get a site ranked in Google or other search engines will tell you exactly the same thing, backlinks are the key. Backlinks are one of the definite paths search engines can get an idea of how well-liked your site is. The assumption goes that if a lot of people link to your site then it is likely to have something constructive and of value on it. If nobody wants to link to you then it's probably because there is not much value on your site.

It is true that Google focuses a great deal of emphasis on links back to your site. It is also true that Google places higher weighting on backlinks that come from sites with a high pagerank. What is not clear is that it also matters about the content and relevancy of the page that the links are coming from.

For example, say your site is about games, well a handful of links from sites that are also about digital cameras, photography, and even other digital devices will have more value than a huge load of links from unrelated sites about toothpaste, or baseball.

This means when you go trying to build backlinks to your site you should stop and consider where you are getting these backlinks from, don't just go willy nilly trying to get links from anywhere, it will work better in the long run to try and get good quality links from sites that are also relevant to your site.

A side benefit of this strategy is that more people are actually likely to follow your links, and you may actually see a fair amount of traffic coming in from your links, which is something that would not happen if you just went out trying to get random links from anywhere.

Remember, relevant, valid good quality backlinks from sites with a high pagerank will get you moving up the SERPs a lot quicker than lots of poor quality links. Think about links before you post them and have a strategy.

Facebook is continuing to press forward solutions for advertisers with a recent upgrade to its Ads Manager. The new Facebook Ads Manager interface seeks to support larger advertisers and agencies with a range of new features enabling users to quickly check the real time performance of ads. It now also emulates AdWords’ hierarchical structure with a top level overview of all campaigns for quick review and changes. In a similar vein, Reports, Billing, Settings and Pages navigation has been given greater prominence on the left hand menu.

Similar to Google AdWords’ new interface, users now have enhanced navigation between sections and inline ad editing. This new structure seeks to increase ease-of-use in making rapid optimization to multiple creative executions, targeting, bids and campaign budgets. The bulk upload feature is also due out soon which will make it possible to run very large campaigns: currently large campaigns can be very time consuming because of the interface.

The new campaign page shows an overview of all high level statistics advertisers need. A redesigned interface enables easy editing of multiple campaigns at once. There are many ways to generate traffic, some paid, some free. Needless to say, I prefer using free methods although some people might have a different taste.

What is the best way to build a massive stream of traffic... for free.

I know that you have probably heard about different theories and strategies designed to generate free traffic, from social bookmarking to blog commenting etc, however, although many of the usually recognized free methods do offer a certain level of effectiveness, there is only one that can truly become both a huge short term and a long term source of traffic.

This often underestimated method is no other than article marketing, and I would say it is not only underestimated it is also underused because many people discard it because they tend to think that generating traffic through article marketing is too hard, and they

fail to realize a couple of important details:

Firstly, article marketing provides you with the highest quality traffic money can buy, only you are getting it for free. Indeed, think for a minute the level of conversions you can reach from a visitor driven to your site from an article. This is a person who already spent a few minutes reading your article and then he or she clicked through, meaning that up to some point he or she greatly agrees with you.

This level of predisposition can hardly be achieved through a two line ad, where the visitors often clicks through just out of curiosity and each time they do your bank account is getting hammered. What this means is that you need a lot less article traffic than you need other sort of traffic in order to get the same number of conversions.
