Hey guys... I am back here after quite a long time. You know what I got quite busy with setting up my photoblog Eye Clicked It and clicking photos. On the way I found some funny tales that I though of sharing with you. There were clicked on my mobiles so plese do not expect high resolution ;)

#1: I found this at RV road Inidan Oil petrol bunk. It is about a campaign about flood relief. Of course it is a noble cause. But see how badly they have written the Kannada version of the message... (Of course only for those who know Kannada trin trin...). This is Bangalore, Capital of Karnataka where you find umpteen number of such mistakes here and there. And nobody cares... :(

#2: I found this near Ranagashankara, JP nagar 2nd Phase, Bangalore and I don't know how to comment on this.

#3: We happened to go to a Bank of India ATM on KG Road, Bangalore. My friend was withdrawing money and we were just hanging around thre. Something interesting caught our eyes on the notice board and I am sharing it with you. Juat beware if you happen to go there... ;)

#4: I found this somewhere in Gandhi Nagar, and am still confused about the meaning of the same. If you know please help me to understand.... :D

Let's see what people ask Bing

Since a couple of days I wanted to see what would Bing.com, Microsoft's search engine, provide in auto-suggest. My test on google had kept me amused but nothing similar was shown on bing. Is that because bing is still in its infancy..? or people have not made a a transition to bing yet..? I have no clue as of now.

Well here is what I found.
I asked 'When' and it came up with the following suggestions..
Hehe... when to work..? There was a saying during college days... "Work hard and party harder..!"

I tried many other combinations which had worked fine on google but none did here. I could capture only the following

Wow what a number plate..!

Vehicle number plate is a place for showcasing one's creativity. People often go for an embossed number plate. Quite often than not you find some of them with nice quotations shadow images and so on. But here is a quite interesting one that I found @ RT Nagar last weekend.

Most hyped multi-metal 10 Rupees coin has become little old now. Even though it is released to market, you hardly find it and those who ve got one preserve it like they ve got the most precious thing in the world. Of course we had got a bunch of those coins long back when everyone was just wondering whether the news is true or not ;-)

Now is the time to showcase the new five rupees coin. What's so special about it..? See for yourself.. The grand FIVE rupees coin with its elder brother...!

No idea when will it hit the market but surely it will get some good grands at ebay. There was a time when one ten rupees coin was sold for Rs.500 @ ebay now the price has come down but. Harsha was curiously watching this YouTube video..! I was passing by and just nudged him saying what are you watching..? It seemed just another YouTube video but turned out to be something really good... There was a Chinese guy singing Hindi song in a competition...! You know the mother tongue influence of that whole clan right...! But check this out... it's was worth watching...

People often say I can't do this, I can't do that and and give a nice explanation on why can't they. But this guy did something which is quite hard for any other Chinese guy. Kudos to you man...! Is he going the Adidas way saying "Impossible is NOTHING...!"? Anyway thanks Harsha, for sharing I mean.

Today it was drizzling outside, I was compelled to dump all my plans and to sit inside. Had noting much to and was just googling for for few random thoughts. I wondered what Indians search on internet and started with Google. I hope you are aware of Google suggest. If you are not just check this link. As I tried few queries I got really curious and started hunting for more...! Here are some really funny tales...

I jsut asked "What" and was given with following suggestions...!

seems like many of them are really wanted to know what is this Recession all about..! And few wanted to find out "What is love" sounds funny heh :-)

Well let's continue with next question "Why"

Obviously for some reason every Indian seem to be wanting to know about MBA. As you can see why pops up only about MBA...! Better you get an MBA also... :-)

Moving ahead with "When" lets see whats there for us....

Seems few are desperate to get married and never knew whom to ask... so asked Google...! And few seemed to know when this RECESSION thing will get over...! The one that caught my attention is "When will I die".... Don't know whether it was asked out of fear about life or they seriously wanted to get rid of LIFE...!

People asked google about how to get pregnant...! And there are people who want to improve their spoken English... Believe me there are people who don't know how to kiss and asked google...!

Next question was "Where" and here is what we have....

People could not find god anywhere and didn't knew whom to ask... so they asked google...! And there are people who want to know where is Ramaling Raju....!

My Encounter with “Prison Break”

I believe Prison Break is one of the ultimate ever made series. It is just mesmerizingly alluring and nobody had ever made breaking out of prison to be this exiting. Believe me, once I started watching it, I completed all the 4 seasons in one shot… could not wait any more…! Normally I don’t feel that involved in moves; as I have seen countless suspense/thriller/action moves, most of the things seem just casual. But with with Prison Break it was not the case; I became so imbibed in to it, that I went on watching all the episodes continuously. I don’t know how those who used to watch i on TV every week managed to curb the intense desire to find out what happens next.

You can find out more on different seasons, plot and characters through this wikipedia link. Prison Break rocks on IMDB also; it has a very decent user rating: 9.0 out of 10.0 which is quite rare to find. Check it out Here.

Actors play their role so well, that you have no choice but to love it. The story has everything right from anger, pain, patience, love, hate, helplessness, compassion, betrayal, politics, trust to faith which keeps them going. Characters make you involve in the story and the goal of the hero becomes your goal too. If you observe highly successful movies, all of them make the viewer to get really involved in the movie. They communicate small small messages through powerful incidents which make us firmly form an idea of the characters.

Prison Break story is no exception to it. It is attractive and has twists and suspense at every corner for us. Lincoln Burrows was sent to high security jail Fox River for a crime he did not commit. His brother Michael Scofield(Wentworth Miller) a structural engineer (our hero..!) goes in to jail with the whole jail plan tattooed on his body. He plans every step in breaking out of the jail before hand. He does his homework on who all have to be used to make his plan successful, what are their weaknesses etc. His plan included breaking out through the medical centre. There he meets Dr. Sara Tancredi daughter of the Governor, who falls in love with him and later on goes with him forever. During the course of time Scofield gets right people on his side and starts breaking all the barriers that hinder in connecting to the outer world. The first attempt to breakout fails and execution of Lincoln gets postponed by the Judge at the last moment. Scofield comes up with another plan plan which involves making the head of the jail to do what they want and Sara's cooperation. Ultimately they break out of the jail and hence the story continues.

The discussion between Scofield and Sara when he asks her to leave the medical center's door unlocked is quite interesting. He asks her not to make his brother pay the price for the crime he has not done and Scofild's mistakes. She could not refrain herself from leaving the door open and she leaves it open neatly covering it up.

I liked Scofield's "Never say die" attitude. No matter what all the obstacles come up, he never gives up his goal, continuously puts effort on the right direction. FAITH is what keeps him moving. Faith is believing something firmly even when it does not exist in reality but believing that it is possible. I have personally seen the power of Faith which sometimes make the impossible to be possible.

Another character I liked is T-Bag played by Robert Knepper, who has also played the negative role in Transporter 3. The way he has played it is really impressive. The sadistic behavior, his tantrums and the stubbornness are awesomely portrayed.

In the first season, Scofield makes paper ducks and uses it to find the path under the ground. Here is a video showing how to make one for yourself.

How to Make Prison Break Duck

Only downside of Prison Break is, it requires lot of time to watch, though you never find it slow like any other family melodrama series in any of the Indian language. It is as fast as any other Hollywood movie, which makes the series easy going.

If you ever got hold of a copy of Prison Break, do watch it, I believe it's worth the time.

An experience with ATM in Bangalore

It was around 1 PM, I had just finished my lunch. My plan was to go to JP Nagar from R T Nagar. I had only Rs. 16/- in my pocket including all the coins and my idea was to withdraw some money from nearby ATM on the way. As you can expect I went to the nearest ATM (I forgot to tell you, I had an SBI debit card) only to find it is out of order. There was one more SBI ATM on the main road which was the only hope. As I went there, it already had a queue of around 10 people which sounded like a normal one to me. I also joined the queue and started waiting for my turn. Just before the guy in front of me would enter the ATM, few technicians entered the room and dismantled the whole machine…! They also announced that it will take no longer than two hours for them to finish the repair work :-(

What to do now…? Obviously I can’t reach JP Nagar with just Rs.16/- what is the next best thing to do…? There was no other SB group ATM within the vicinity. Nearest one was 2 Kms away and there was no guaranty that it will work. I had noticed that ATM to be non functional many a times. Also there was no way I could walk that distance under the blistering sun. I often keep telling myself to take calculated risks, this was no exception. I just thought for a while and then this idea flashed to me. How about going to State Bank of Mysore on KG road and withdrawing money? Anyway I had to go to Majestic on the way to JP Nagar.

Well I got into a bus and took a ticket to KG Road. I had to give Rs. 10/- for the ticket and now I had only Rs.5/-. But since my commutation till Mysore bank was secured, there was no need to worry. Luckily I could withdraw some money from that ATM.

But now there was one more problem waiting for me. Sheshadri Road was jam packed for some reason, and vehicles were moving no faster than a snail. (This happened long before they cut the beautiful trees on both the sides of the road.) So I decided to take a walk till Corporation circle where I can catch a bus to JP Nagar. One more reason was I had no clue of which bus goes to JP Nagar…. :-(

Near Corporation Circle I found out Bus No 2, takes me to JP Nagar and found one coming slowly. As the bus started moving on conductor appeared from the swarm of people asking to buy ticket. I flashed a fresh hundred rupees note on his face and said, “Give a ticket to JP Nagar”. Conductor said I don’t have change, give me Rs.12/- or get down in next stop. Oh come on man…you are the conductor…. you should be having change…ATMs won’t spit change you know…! But there was no way I could buy a ticket and had to get down from the bus. Best part was I had crossed 2 stops for free…heh… :-) I looked around for an open shop where I can buy something and get change but found none. Every shop on Lalbagh Road was closed for lunch.

I got in to the next bus that followed and flashed the hundred rupees note again. But for my bad-luck even this conductor also didn’t had change for hundred rupees. What do I do now..? How about a free ride to JP Nagar changing buses in each stop by flashing a hundred rupees note…!!! Sounds cool…but time was running out. I asked him how much for Jayanagr 4th block? Seems he was also new to that route, he checked here and there on his sheet and told Rs.5/-. Thank God…! I could buy a ticket to Jayanagar 4th block at least….! I knew no matter what “Cool Joint” will be open where I can have a Juice to quench my thirst and get some change. And that’s how it happened. But I had taken one hour more than what I had communicated to my friends.

Since that day I wanted to go to an ATM that is more reliable. But had to be ready to pay an extra charge for using another bank’s ATM. Now thanks to RBI, you can walk in to any bank’s ATM and withdraw money as you withdraw in your bank’s ATM. Check this link for RBI notification confirming the same. It states that, with effect from April 1, 2009 no bank shall charge anything for using other bank’s ATM cards. Probably now you can move on to a different bank’s ATM if your bank’s ATM has a bigger queue…! Or of course if it spits your card saying “Can not dispense cash”. What do you say…?

Hi,

A very warm Welcome....!

Well I am just starting a new blog now... After writing only about technology for quite a some time I felt that now is the time to embark on something new...! You can visit my Technology blog OnlyPerceptions in which I am posting some of my endeavors. Well then why do I need another blog as I already have one..? Do I have time or patience to maintain both the blogs....? Pretty though question to answer but still, let me hope that I will find some time keep you engaged...!

While I was in the process of creating the blog, I was just asking my self what should I post in this blog? Definitely not on technology.... as I already have one dedicated for that. Well then what....? This what becomes a big WHAT some times....! So I had to give it a little thought (not just a little actually.... !). Creating a blog is not a big deal since online services are making it as simpler as it could get. Even though I have made a set of tweaks that most on the Blogosphere would not have done, all that sounded simple in front of that question called "What will I post..?"

That question was just flocking around in my mind for a couple of days until I decided one day that I will post anything that I find worth posting...! As simple as that....! Now I had solved one question "What will I post..?" but next question popped up from the corner of my mind "How will I decide whether it is worth posting...?" Oh come on... don't ask me such silly questions Amit, I will find out meas I will find out take it for granted.

Ultimately I had a sigh of relief and started with this post thinking what should I write now? I started with just one thought, that it will be a welcome post.... then thoughts went on to get converted in to this post..!

So I have started the blog now and will try my level best to keep posting. Keep watching this place for my new posts...!
