Happy Halloween everyone! I am sitting here trying to finish this post and at the same time, answering the door every 2 minutes to give the kids some tasty treats! I can’t tell you how much fun we had at our final wedding of the season at the fabulous Newcastle Wedding Gardens. October is our favorite time of year to shoot a wedding and I can’t tell you how beautiful it is at the gardens. As you will see here shortly, the colors are magnificent and combine it with a fantastic couple like Julia and Mike, it makes for a beautiful event! Music and MC services provided by our good friend Randy Bartlett of Premier Entertainment. There were so many great images to choose from so I think I included them all. (Well almost,,,) I hope that you enjoy the images!

I know, two posts in one week. I know what you must be thinking,,, Well, when you have as much fun as I do taking photos of wonderful people like these two, you can’t help but want to share them with as many people as you can. I received a call from Kassie a couple of weeks ago asking if I would conduct their engagement session at McKinley park near Midtown and I instantly became intrigued. Lee and i shot a wedding at the Rose Gardens there back in 2005 and have not been there since. I know that it is known for the colorful people and bright fall foilage but I had no idea it would be this cool! Once the two arrived we immediately went to the side of the Library where we got into a groove and it did not stop until we lost the light about an hour and a half later. I am so happy with the way this session came out and I hope that you all enjoy the pictures as well.

Reba & Justin er,, Dustin

Here is a very special couple that has finally had their day. It has been a long time coming as Reba has been planning her wedding for quite some time. These two had all of her family and friends there to share in their day. The colors of the day were spectacular and we could not have asked for a more beautiful time of year to capture their memories for them. Ceremony was held at the St. Claire’s Catholic Church in Roseville and the reception was held at the Whitney Oaks Country Club. Entertainment was provided by Extreme Pros DJ’s and the awesome florals were from Fleurs de Jour in Roseville. Enjoy the pictures everyone.

I can’t tell you how much fun it is when a couple tell me that they trust me to do whatever and lets me take them to a place that they never have been before. Living in West Sac, these two don’t have much time to go out and explore as they would like and when Kristina said that I could choose the location for their engagement session, I first thought of Folsom. I have shot here many times before but these guys were in for a real treat as they both like the water and nature. We ventured out and had the entire park to ourselves and created in my humble opinion some fantastic images for their family. Enjoy the pics everyone!

The Canon 1d Mark IV

Here is a picture of the new Canon Camera just released today. This camera is awesome! I have an older version (Mark 2) and i was thinking of upgrading to the Mark 3 when the news came out about this baby. It has a pretty price tag right now but it just might be worth it if I can convince a certain someone that it will only enhance our already fantastic images. A huge task but maybe a new dining set might do the trick?

After shooting Sabrina & Cory’s amazing engagement session back in July, and getting to see just a glimpse of the beautiful way they love each other, I absolutely could not wait for the day of their wedding. Sabrina has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen and she has a way of making you feel comfortable in any situation, as if you’ve known her your entire life, while Cory is kind, caring, and the kind of guy you know is genuine at all times. I love this couple so much and was so excited their big day had finally arrived! The event was highlighted by the awesome work of Alison Ulshoffer Event and Design and the Granite Bay country club

Hello everyone, I know that you miss me but the truth is when you have as much work in front of you as i do right now, it can feel like the time between posts can take forever. Well, I have a doozy for you today. I am super happy to share with you some images form our wedding last weekend out at the ever beautiful Forest House Lodge in Foresthill. One of the finest venues available for a wedding. The hosts are ultra accommodating and the food is fantastic! Lee and I were happy to be able to document this wonderful couple’s wedding and share with all of you some of the fantastic images form the day. Enjoy!

I hope everybody had a wonderful holiday weekend! Lee and I had some company come up from the Bay area and we all went out to the lake and got sunburned. Well, at least I did. We did have a great time just like the wedding of these two wonderful prople that could not have asked for more as their family and friends came to share the most important day of their young lives. As always, the magnificent venue of the Newcastle Wedding Gardens was perfect. The florals were provided by Visual Impact Designs and the music was provided by Anthony Avery of A&A Entertainment. I hope that you all enjoy the images!
