My friend Halley is a go-go dancer at this big event they throw every week in Boston called Throwed which basically is this huge awesome dance party. She called me up and was like I want to have a Shred party the dj’s all checked out the stuff and loved the shirts and agreed to wear them so I said let’s do it! So off we went to the Middle East in Boston it was a great time over 400 people! I was amazed at how big this thing get’s every week! So make sure to check out Throwed it’s on Thursday Nights in Boston if your ever around.

New Predator movie looks promising

This movie looks really promising. I was a huge fan of the original predator movie but it’s nice to know Rodriguez is doing his own thing with it. It doesn’t look like just another Hollywood high budget shit movie but something better. I’ll keep my eyes on this.

Freddy Is Back!

Freddy is back after many years in retirement! Now I am a big fan of the Nightmare on Elm St series. I grew up as a kid watching these movies. The first set of movies were shot around the time I was born so it’s cool for me to see them coming back 23 years later. Here is the trailer for the new video coming out take a look and tell me what you think I am curious to get some outside opinions!

A Wild Night at the Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, & Flyleaf concert

This Concert was absolutely AMAZING if you see that they are on tour coming to your city I suggest you take the time and go see them you will not be disappointed!

Eric here, a group of friends of mine decided we would make the trip to the Tsongas arena for the Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, & Flyleaf concert. The show was great most of us were really there to see Breaking Benjamin I know they have been a top band of mine for years now. I have been going to shows my entire life and have always loved it there just the energy you get interacting with the band, it’s a feeling hard to duplicate anywhere else. My friend Hilary it was her first rock concert which she ended up not being able to handle the pit once a mosh pit broke out so she took a back seat in the stands but the rest of us moved towards the front. Overall the concert was a real great time we all had a lot of fun.

Now at one point the mosh pit got pretty crazy and this girl was just out of control hitting everyone so my friends and I went to try and stop her and calm her down and I ended up getting attacked! Now I ended up getting elbowed in the side of the head and getting my Shred Mummy shirt ripped by her. Girl was totally out of control and needs to learn how to mosh correctly! My new shirt is in the mail but here is a picture.

Best Halloween ever

I’m a huge fan of it’s always sunny in Philadelphia so my roommates and I were all characters from the show. I was night man and we had a day man and a green man. There were a lot of people taking pictures of us out at the bars but sadly our pictures kind of sucked. Having a good time and drinking is not conducive to good picture taking.

Seeing last weeks episode made me think how awesome it would be to get a birds of war costume with a few days notice. That would have been true dedication.

My Trip To Umass Amherst

Eric here, I had the pleasure of going to one of the largest colleges in the North East and speak about Shred to an entrepreneurship class of a hundred students. This is the second time I have had the privilege to speak at Umass and it’s always a great group of motivated young individuals trying to change the world with the next big idea. The best part about public speaking is the reaction you get from students. At the end when there is a line all the way across the room of people waiting to introduce themselves and chat with you one on one for a minute to just get to know you a little better is such a great feeling that you have hopefully inspired them to move towards their goals and dreams to become that 1% to take the risk of entrepreneurship.
I received an email not a few days later from a student named Craig Roberts and it really was rewarding to know that I was able to inspire. This is what the email read:

“Hey Mr. Sullivan,

You recently spoke to my entrepreneur initiative class at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. We have had several speakers, but none caught my attention as much as you did. You realistically spoke about starting a company, other speakers talked about it in terms of having start-up money, but you were a college student and understood the financial burdens. Eric, you honestly made me believe that I do no need to wait until I graduate to start an online social network site or a fashion line. I can start right now.
We briefly spoke, I wanted to know more about how you got started because I think your ability to have the discipline to start your own online network and a clothing line while working towards a college degree.”

Shred has been such a fun project for Jon and I to not only create something we absolutely love and stand behind but to be able to interact with some really awesome people and see their reactions to our crazy creations is what is always rewarding.
