Del 15 al 30 de Noviembre se podrá ver en el Centro Cultural Matadero de Huesca la exposición Paisaje Interior. Esta exposición se encuentra enmarcada dentro del Festival Otoño Imagen que organizan cada año la Asociación Fotográfica Oscense (AFO-TO) y la Agrupación de Profesionales de la Provincia.
Se trata de 26 fotografías en blanco y negro que retratan paisajes escondidos dentro de casa:

Flanqueado por paredes inmensas se encuentra un paisaje escondido. Minúsculo, invisible por la cotidianidad, espera paciente a ser descubierto. Mares y cascadas, montañas y desiertos, aves y mamíferos, catedrales y barcos, paisajes naturales y urbanos que se revelan al ojo de la cámara.

Delightful moon. Down in the sky. Endow us light for the darkest nights.

Winter has come to and end and Spring is making its way. The snow is nowhere to find, all melted in New York’s Spring preview. The leaves are nowhere to find, all hidding from the cold winter days. Only the crowd of New Yorkers made their annual appointment with Central Park.

Phones have come a long way, and even the firsts popular smartphones, like my defunct Mogul, we capable of capturing great shots. Will miss this battery sucker…

Artic Monkeys

These images and this other one were all taken with the Mogul at an Artic Monkeys concert in Terminal 5, New York.

To compensate for a hell of a walk back home in the middle of the rain and high speed winds I decided, all wet, to make good use of the fireplace. Already dried from a couple of minutes near the fire, and with the flames starting to leave the house for good it all came together. I gathered a filet mignon, half zucchini, one onion and a potato and threw it all out to the fire. Just a few minutes and the place was smelling like heaven…. you know what I mean.

We were lucky to watch Rafael Nadal pass to his first US Open final defeating Mikhail Youzhny (6-2, 6-3, 6-4). After that came the extenuating match between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer (5-7, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2, 7-5). Thanks Szilard!

As the final date approached we saw the decoration change day after day to its final state. Cute!

Very good news today! I was featured in Heraldo de Aragon, a centenary spanish newspaper. Only one photos appears in the online version, you’ll have to get the printed copy or PDF to see the rest.

There were only a handful of people to see yesterday’s magnificent sunset at Brooklyn’s East River Park. Those were the components of Keane, who’s lead vocalist, Tom Chaplin, repeatedly praised the concert location and Manhattan’s skyline. Why did the organizers of the Williamsburg Waterfront concerts place the stage so that every attendee would miss the sunset? To distract them from the artists? To only give the artists the privileged view? The only explanation that comes to mind is to direct the sound away from the residences behind the park.
