There were only a handful of people to see yesterday’s magnificent sunset at Brooklyn’s East River Park. Those were the components of Keane, who’s lead vocalist, Tom Chaplin, repeatedly praised the concert location and Manhattan’s skyline. Why did the organizers of the Williamsburg Waterfront concerts place the stage so that every attendee would miss the sunset? To distract them from the artists? To only give the artists the privileged view? The only explanation that comes to mind is to direct the sound away from the residences behind the park.

Praised by many as the best shrimp in the North Shore (Oahu), this filthy truck rests under the trees in a small rest area at the entrance of Hale’iwa along with two competitors. But really, there is no competition.

East to Hilo (Big Island) you can find an area full of calm natural pools near the ocean.

There are quite a few black sand beaches in Hawaii, but this was by far the most beautiful, it was also empty from the crowds.

Hawaii’s big surf season is winter, but surfers ain’t gonna wait that long, are they?

Snorkel at Molokini was superb! The water was so clear one could see 25 feet down. Fishes were patiently waiting for us and posed to our photos with big smiles (not the fish in the photo).

Guarded by ancient lava fingers, Turtle Town in Maui was supposed to be, well, a town full of turtles. I only managed to see three of them, but this one was gigantic.

Yeah, already that time of the year: Eater Bonnet Parade. And three years on the row sunny as hell. Some new faces, some new hats, some new costumes and some … well … came back. Remember Bad Bunny from last year?

This last weekend was one of the finest in latest winters. With temperatures almost comparable with summer Spring sprung earlier this season. And with the spring, the crowd, the parks and even a few trees. Today was raining.

this photoblog is back after a long break. When this site reached its first birthday I knew I had to take a break, but didn’t anticipate it to be so long. My apologies. Posts are back, although they won’t be as frequent as ‘One photo a day’. I’m also preparing other kind of post, keep tuned.

This photos were taken a couple of weeks ago in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, after the snow storm we had. If I didn’t tell you this is a park within a city, would you have guessed? I’m amazed by NYC parks, one really feels like being outdoors in the mountains.

Yes, after one full year of posting one image each day, this has come to an end. It gotta, its making me crazy! No seriously, crazy! This is how it all started.

I actually don’t believe I made it so far. Sure, I missed some days in summer, but that’s not that bad, I needed the break, didn’t you? Here is a visual archive of the past year. I hope you had as much fun as I did.
