Hi welcome to Sharmans Wines.

If you’re new to the site then feel free to sign up to our email list (or RSS feed for the more technically inclined) and you’ll receive an update email about new releases and special offers.

I intend on keeping these updates very infrequent so don’t worry too much about getting spammed. You can remove yourself from the email list at any time.

Right now we are well into the 2009 vintage with harvest not far away. A late Spring frost has diminished the size of the crop and a cool flowering has resulted in some hen and chicken berries. However the vines look healthy and we will get a crop.

The good news is that the 2008 vintage was a cracker and we have some very smart wines in the pipeline. The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is doing well in the market place. The 2008 Noble Late Harvest is in bottle and the Pinot noir is due for bottling in the next few weeks.

Current releases include 2006 Pinot noir, 2006 Cabernet/Merlot, 2005 sparkling “SHAMAN” and 2008 Chardonnay. The 2008 Chardonnay won a gold medal at the Tasmanian Wine Show in January.
