I use a combination of fundamental and technical analysis and have developed a certain level of skill which has allowed me to make some very profitable trades. I really enjoy learning about various companies and forecasting their short-term prospects. So much so that I'm launching yet another blog called - BlueCollarStocks.com- which will focus on one stock each week that I feel has the potential to return outsized gains within the next 2 to 6 weeks. I hope to have BCS online by July 1st but until then my current pick is IGNT.PK which is trading around 0.0110 and would be a great stock to add to your hustle portfolio. Back in May I recommended SPNG.OB to the readers of this blog at .0216 per share and it hit .280 earlier this month, each $100 would have fetched you a nice $1296. Now that's hustling up some money. If you're new to all this and need to sign up with an inexpensive but professional broker, my recommendation has changed from Zecco (which has raised the minimum account balance to receive the best benefits) to TradeKing which is the first brokage I ever used because of the $4.95 flat commision. You can start your account with any amount and build it on a monthly basis.
As for this blog, I will continue to investigate any and every money making opportunity that cost little to start and can be operated on an extremely part-time basis. Hope you are taking care of business and keeping a postive attitude.......keep up your hustle!

In these economic times, develop your hustle focus......

As the number of days we have been in this economic funk continue to mount, I feel both a sense of excitement, thinking of how a floodgate of opportunity is sure to follow, and a sense of loss because I could have been so much better prepared to profit from this correction. I will come out of this in a better position, but some people will really clean-up such as people who recently became real estate investors. When I look at some of the bargains in the housing market today, I am amazed that people are still so cautious about buying their first home. Not to mention the tax credit! If your a true hustler and fit in this category, your main focus should be to acquire one of these properties.

As for me, I have focused my efforts in order to make the most of the opportunities this economy offers. My main hustle now is the varied stock markets I invest in using mt Zecco account. The Forex hustle was very promising, but a recent rule change prohibiting "hedging" has moved this activity too close to outright gambling for me. If you are into the stock game too, check-out my current favorite penny stock: SPNG - as of today they are trading at .0216 and have a great marketing program designed to make the company a household word. To be honest you can hardly go wrong investing in the market today. As long as the company fills a need and you believe they will be in business five years from now, you'll likely make money.

At any rate, my main message is to stay positive and active as a hustler but limit the number of projects you undertake until the monetary system recovers fully. Become a specialist in those areas and your success is practically guaranteed.

Summer of opportunity...........

I have had this feeling lately that our current economic woes have reached the bottom and a big turn-around is coming sooner than most think. Yes- I've been hit hard in my, shall we say - "hustles" by this gloomy atmosphere, most notably my stock portfolio is down big-time. Of course this isn't so bad because I can afford so many more good companies these days and I hope their stock values will bounce up with the recovery.

The main thing I feel now is a sense of urgency to get myself in position to benefit before the end of this coming summer. If you're looking to buy a house or car this is a great time.....this goes for us hustlers too. Many people are looking to save money and will give your service or product a try if it's good quality and cheaper than their current supplier. I mean even the big customers that wouldn't normally let you in the door are open to change. These customers can be acquired now during the downturn and if serviced right will stay customers long after the economy has recovered. One place to look is selling to the Government. Thousands of purchasing cards are in the hands of these workers and if your product or service cost less than $2500 they need no approval or bidding process to do business with you. These selling opportunities aren't advertised so you'll have to do some research, but if you're selling something they need at the "office" level you could get an excellent customer who will always pay on time.

Just some thoughts on what promises to be a heck of a year to be a Hustler. Remember we are stronger working together, so if you can partner on some projects with other hustlers do so. I'm hooking up with some of my co-workers that run a concession stand on the side. Any time they need a third man/investor to service a large gathering, I'll pick up the extra hustle bucks! -Of course.

Update on Forex hustle...........

I have mentioned before that I've begun to dabble in trading currencies on the Forex market. Since my stock market hustle has stalled out right along with the economy, I am allocating most of my trading capital to my Forex account. I thought learning to trade stocks was fun, but this is so much more intense. The Forex market trades 24 hours a day, 5 days a week and half the fun is watching your profit (or loss) change in real-time, second by second. It only takes $25 to start an account, but I recommend learning with a free demo account first. You'll use imaginary money but everything else is real. By using the demo account and watching the free educational videos you'll become comfortable enough to open your real account. I currently use FXCM as my broker because of their excellent trading platform and the low $25 initial deposit. They take Visa/Master cards as well as other forms of deposit, so you can jump on a trade pretty quickly if the timing seems right. As the educational resources will tell you: always place a stop loss order when you open a position and you can manage the risk involved. Since these accounts allow a pretty high rate of leverage, each $1 can control up to $400 during a trade, money management is a key skill to learn. Of course Hustlers like leveraging money, it's one of the golden rules of hustling. I know this seems like a white collar hustle but check out the free training, open a demo account and you'll agree that you can hustle up some good money if you stick to the trading strategy you formulate as you learn. Here's a link to a video showing how to trade directly from the FXCM trading station charts: https://admin.acrobat.com/_a205571165/p10381296/

Along with keeping a position in the stock market, this should be one of the online hustles you consider as a long term - high potential hobby.

Have you been impacted by this "Economic Slow-Down"?

I have to admit, I never expected this "crisis" to get as bad as it has. Maybe it's the way I was raised. My family was very pro small business. I remember working at our family business at the age of five or six and both of my parents had sideline businesses outside of their regular jobs. It seemed to me that America was blessed by God and we had a system that was built upon the strength of each person working to improve his life.

I was a true believer. The first clue I had of how fragile our nation is came with the 9/11 attacks and the resulting economic ramifications. Evidence continued to mount with the Hurricane Katrina response and eventually forced me to face the truth with this latest disaster. I now realize that our country has become a victim of what I call the Management Mentality. We manage things that should be unacceptable or things that can't be managed. "That lady they attacked was in the wrong place, she should have known better or locked her doors". "Of course they took your money and gave you a bad deal, that's what companies do". Thinking like this causes a slow but steady degradation of society. People who commit horrible crimes are sick or evil.......period. We need people who run companies to be responsible for the welfare of their employees and customers. Teachers for their students, parents for their children.

I know that this thinking is thought to be a way to control people that don't fit in a neat little "family values" lifestyle, but what's the alternative? We as Hustlers depend on directing our time, money and energy at activities designed to create value for others which result in profits for ourselves. We don't necessarily need a level playing field, but we need SOME kind of field to play on. Right now too many people are afraid to play the game. Trying to manage areas best left to faith or chance.

"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you oughtta go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q (Star Trek)

Hustlers, don't sit on the sidelines, we know when you play you might loose some games. But those that never play, never win.

Sorry for this "dark" post. I am usually a very positive person, but it seems like so many people are confusing opportunity with risk these days................makes it hard to hustle!

For your hustle to work you have to work your hustle...

A few of the readers of this blog work with me at my day job and have become involved in some hustles themselves (most notably the excellent opportunity to buy stock in companies that will profit when the recovery is complete), however some of the bigger hustles are harder for me to "sell". The one I really love is marketing on the web. The potential is unlimited and the financial investment is very small. The downside is the huge learning curve that can discourage even the most motivated hustler. I've tried to present the SBI program as a easier way to develop a web presence while simultaneously learning almost all you'll ever need to know about marketing on the web. Problem is that even this excellent program can't guarantee success. You'll have to work at it (mostly by reading and thinking) until you learn enough to make the right decisions for your business.

I challenge you to do that work! Grab a copy of The Affiliates Master Course for free. Skim through it and you'll realize that if you study it you'll know more than many of the people making a living on the web today. I guarantee it. Plus-did I mention- it's free! Of course SBI hopes that you'll use your new found knowledge and pick them to build your business with (I did), but you'll be able to make that decision with confidence when the time comes. You'll be ready to hustle money online!

Back To Basics- My plan for 2009

As we have discussed before, we are in a very difficult economy and my hustle activities have been curtailed somewhat. This, I admit, is very disappointing because I am determined to achieve financial independence by the end for 2009. Some of the motivators would say I have purposed or set an intention in motion. These intentions, if strong enough, will take us though so many of the inevitable roadblocks any positive forward motion will face. So as we all make our resolutions and plans for the coming year, I hope that you have a powerful purpose for your life. A desire that will buffer you from these economic headwinds. I have decided to pare away some of my non-core activities and focus on the ones that I enjoy most. Right now it's more important than ever for hustlers like us to focus on enjoying the journey and not sacrifice today for some perfect tomorrow.

Please re-read my post on the tools I use to keep myself motivated if you don't have a strong point of focus. I especially recommend the site ToolsToLife.com -the programs they offer are free and will make a positive impact on your life.

One of the important activities I'm focusing on is Blogging. I really enjoy getting my thoughts out where they can be shared with others. It helps me stay on track. So expect more frequent post this year.....a little feedback would be welcome as well :-)

Looking forward to the best year ever...............

Giving Thanks and moving forward..............

This Thanksgiving seemed different to me. My extended family opted out of our traditional dinner for various reasons, most of which boil down to a general sense of uneasiness generated by the current economic downturn. This is of course, the opposite feeling this holiday is meant to celebrate. We are to focus on all the many blessings we have......not on perceived losses.

So, in this spirit I want to list some of the things I'm grateful for that relate to Hustling:

First, I am encouraged by the hustle shown by some of the readers of this blog that I know personally. Several of them have implemented the stock market hustle that I feel is a great opportunity for us right now. They have made some money and hopefully will add one of the other hustles as they see the benefits of hustling.

Secondly, the multiple streams of income activities I have been developing are all moving forward nicely. I listed them in a previous post and all are designed to make me a little money, from $300 to $800 per month, but taken as a group should easily double my current income by February of 2009. The most exciting part is the stability of having several small hustles working for me 24-7.

Finally my biggest hustle related blessing is writing this blog. I have been able to share my thoughts with others but most of all I can clarify my own thinking in this important area of life.

So, I'm having a toast to the many blessings we all share and the promise the future holds for every hustler. As always, feel free to send me your thoughts via email.

And if you haven't gotten your hustle game off the ground, review the previous 2 or 3 posts. Grab an idea and run with it. You'll be glad you did..........

P.S.- I know that I planned to post a few more interviews of successful hustlers and I have 5 or 6 already lined-up. So look for these soon!-----Happy Thanksgiving.....Hustlers!

Finding your first successful hustle...........

I have been informed by some of my readers that "not everyone has a side hustle" and that many people find the idea of running an enterprise in their spare time a huge undertaking. First of all I'd like to reaffirm my belief that when the economy is facing the type of challenges we are currently experiencing, having a side hustle is almost mandatory. Even when all is well some people will hustle simply because it's the way they think but in an economic turn-down hustling is a basic survival skill.

We have all become aware of the need to keep learning new skills and be prepared to change occupations several times over our working lifetime. This need dovetails nicely with the hustling mindset. As Hustlers we have an occupation that will never truly change, we may change the money making activity many times but the basic nature of the enterprise remains the same. Bottom line: If you haven't found your hustle yet, make doing so a top priority.

Of course this leads to the question of where to begin looking. I recommend developing a hobby or talent you already enjoy.....this will give you an edge in the marketplace and more enjoyment along the way. If you don't have a viable hobby, investigate as many opportunities you can that fit into your start-up budget and lifestyle. One resource I recommend is an ebook called
"1,000 Ways to Make Money", and it's a virtual encyclopedia of new and unusual money-making
schemes. They lean toward online programs a bit , but so do I!

The plan is to keep looking until you find something you'd like to try. You're not making a lifetime commitment so be prepared to change plans or make adjustments when needed. Remember this is a SIDELINE, don't make it into a chore, choose something you can enjoy pursuing.

The final piece of advice I'll share is all of the work to find and make a hustle successful will come to nothing if we don't do the more basic work to change the way we view our lives. Review some of my previous posts and try some of the resources I mentioned to help with this shift. This hustler mindset it the big reward.....more valuable than money......and can never be taken away from you.

Let me know how you're doing....and join our mailing list. We'll keep your email address private and will never SPAM you. I plan to publish a monthly e zine about home business opportunities and would like to include you!

Thanks!

End of year project list

Hi, fellow hustlers! I thought I'd post a list of the projects I have scheduled for completion before the end of the year. Many people think the ending/beginning of the year and the reflection/resolution process that accompanies it is totally arbitrary. Why make a date like January 1st so important? We can take action and make big plans anytime- right?
Well I (for one) love the pressure I feel to close out each year successfully and the power I feel when I realize the new year is mine for the taking. Excepting events out of my control, I have the power and will to make my dreams come true!

So, here is my current money making project list and completion dates:

SBI- In the final stage of website development. I under estimated the time and commitment of this project. I learned a lot though and will end up with two income producing sites instead of just the one I planned to do in the beginning. Completion date: 12/12/08.

Stock Investments- I have one holding in my Zecco account that I hope will "pop" before the end of the year. I have mentioned before that I love penny stocks of companies with good management and even better business prospects and balance sheets. My favorite is NewMarket Technology NMKT.PK -I got long on this stock at .06 a share and will continue to buy at these levels. Completion date: ????

Success University- Here I have the expectation of building my organization to the level that I am receiving $300 of recurring income per month. Completion date: 12/31/08.

Forex- I have completed my self education by reading and practising with a demo account from DeltaStock. I have now funded a real account and will begin to trade this week! This activity has the potential to hustle up me some real cash fast and may become my favorite money maker. Completion date: 11/12/08.

Well that's it. I also hope to start learning Spanish before the end of the year, so I can widen my target market both on and off line.

As hustlers it's also important for us to hold the line on expenses, especially during this time of year. Think about the opportunity cost of money spent on trinkets that will soon be forgotten. As I've said before: we are like very small companies. A penny saved ( or even better-invested) is a penny earned.

I would love to hear about the hustler projects you have in your pipeline. Drop me an email!

What have I done for me lately....................

This is always a good question for Hustlers. After all we are the guiding force, the CEO of our various money making endeavors. We have to hold ourselves accountable for moving in a positive direction. As for my latest activities I want to highlight the one with the most potential. In keeping with my belief that multiple streams of income is a goal of the true hustler, I have for the first time entered the MLM field. I have friends who have "worked" these programs for years with a decent level of success. The small initial investment and huge potential return has drawn many people from all walks of life into MLM in everything from Amway to Pre-Paid Legal. As a person always on the look-out for opportunity, I have attended a number of the recruiting meetings but have always felt that the people who do well are the ones who love the product. They enjoy building their downlines and promoting the product because they believe in the product and opportunity.

I never felt that way until last week when a friend introduced me to Success University , they have a product (self improvement education) that I have always enjoyed and a great compensation plan. The investment is low and I feel that the classes and materials that they offer are second to none. The more I look into the business the more I like it. After taking two of the courses and working with my upline (which has a special system with-in the system that will do most of the promotion for you), I think this is the best opportunity I've found since SBI. That's saying a lot. Basically the investment is small monetarily but you have to be ready to take control of your life. They have great teachers, the names of which you will immediately recognize, who pull no punches as far as personal responsibility is concerned. This is why it's a great MLM company....they have a great product which is designed to motivate the student/partner to realize personal success. Just like we hustlers like it.

So I feel pretty good with where I am with both the SBI projects and my new Success University opportunity. Hope you are moving foward as well. If not check out these two for yourself and see if you like them as much as I do. Also feel free to email me with your top opportunities. Love to have multiple streams of income:-)

Hustler resource round up.............

After my last post I started thinking about all of the resources I use to support my hustling activities and mindset. This post is the first of a periodic series of these valuable resources. Please use the comment section to add your favorites which we'll share with other readers. Since I spend so much of my productive life online, many of my resources are web-based applications or services - many of which I use daily. The five I list below are definitely must haves for serious hustlers!

#1) Portable Apps from portableapps.com - These free applications will run from any portable flash drive or device. The menu driven package comes with Open Office so you can create/edit Word or Excel documents, Thunderbird the great email program and Firefox the best web browser in the world. I have this on my thumb drive so I can use any PC I happen to be near by just plugging it into the USB port. It has my favorites,my files, and my applications so I feel like I'm using my home computer. After I'm through, I just eject the drive and that's it! No information is stored on the "host" computer or it's registry....perfect for getting a little hustle work done during lunch at my main job.

#2) Sandy, your personal assistant- At IwantSandy.com. This is simply the best web-based to do/calendar program I've ever come across. I can email or text in items to be added to either my appointment calendar or to do list. Have reminders sent via text or email as well. Give it a try - it's free and a great help in staying organized.

#3) Bloglines - I've written previously about the many benefits to be had from designing your very own "newspaper" . You get daily exposure to information you can use or that motivates you. Don't forget to add the shareyourhustle feed to your list!

#4) Paypal - You likely use this already. The best (as in most popular) way to get your payments online.

#5) Commission Junction - At http://www.cj.com/. If you work the affiliate programs or would like to. This site is better than ClickBank as far as I'm concerned. If you don't do affiliate programs your missing out on one of the best hustles out there!

Well that's five of my favorites. Check them out if you haven't already.

Wall Street madness presents an opportunity for hustlers...

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Right now I'm sitting in Atlanta,GA wondering if I'll be able to get gas tomorrow. Watching the government bailout plan debate rage on television. Seems like this world has changed so much in so little time.....what's a hustler to do?---Well in a word - "hustle!". They become fearful of losing their money, home, and lifestyle. We see the bigger picture....a leveling of the playing field, if only to a small degree. They plan for the worst. We plan for the windfall we can expect for keeping the faith and facing these changes with a positive attitude. They downsize and champion market changes that almost seem anti-free trade. We know this is the climate where our efforts will pay off in spades.

My challenge to you is to create even more value in your hustle activities. Even if it's just a part-time job.....do more, provide answers instead of more problems, and keep your eye open for the unusual opportunities this type of economic turn-down inherently spawns.

I'll share a few of these with you:

#1) Zecco a great and cheap online broker has decided to offer commission-free trades for the entire month of October. -This is amazing to me. I've traded stocks online for years and Zecco has become my favorite because of the 10 free trades a month and no account minimum ...but unlimited free trades? no matter if you have $20.00 in your account or $100,000.00---amazing. I of course as a hustler trade only "penny" stocks that I research and have a huge potential for gain (or loss- if you like full disclosure). The thought that one could buy $100 worth of a $1 stock and pay no commision....wow.....check it out here: Zecco.com

#2) Real estate bird-dog..........we have one aggressive company here that pays for leads that result in the purchase of real estate. They want to buy houses in any condition from motivated sellers. You find those sellers (using flyers, etc.) and simply make the introduction and hope a deal is reached. This is a revenue generator that cost almost nothing and can be worked as you go about your other activities. Put a few flyers up in public places and treat the seller with respect and your on your way. I bet your community has a company doing the same thing.

#3) Look for ways to earn money when you go about your normal routine. Many businesses are currently in survival mode and will take a loss in order to report sales. Strong sales numbers are all that matter to them right now....they are holding on until things turn around. We can use this knowledge to get more for our money. If you buy an item (especially online) you should ask about a rebate or other incentive to spend your cash with that merchant. For instance I use the free portal MyPowerMall to earn a small commission on items I plan to buy anyway. That way I get the best deal the online merchant has and make a little something extra on the side.

The only other thing I'd like to say to my fellow hustlers is to develop a daily motivation plan. The media is going all-out to tell us how bad things are and will get, don't let this be the only message going into your brain. I visit two sites each morning to keep me positive and on track:

ToolsToLife.com (A great day by day goal targeting site) and

MorningCoach.com (You can customize the site to reflect your goals and beliefs).

It's amazing how technology allows us to become our own coach. Get that iPod and subscribe to some of the daily Podcast out there that promote self-help and small business success. Do the same with your RSS reader and you can edit your own news.......bombard your mind with your choice of information.

Well until the next post, stay on track and we'll end up on top......................

Major new projects sometimes require huge change.

And that's the word I've started to live by -"change". As my side hustle involving the excellent teaching/coaching of SBI has lead me to a place where I have to decide how committed am I to making money- on my terms. Although It is a big decision I have made it easily -I'm going to move from part-time hustler to full time small businessman. The thought of "working without a net" and relying on my personal efforts day in and day out is both scary and exciting. The bottom line for me is that I'm getting older and I can't fully focus on several things at once. After becoming involved with the huge income potential of building my business using the SBI system, I can honestly say this is the ultimate hustle for me. As I've mentioned before....it takes time and dedication to follow all the steps one-by-one, but the reward is amazing. If you haven't already please check it out.

OK- I'm gonna let that horse rest for a while, even though it's hard not to share a good thing, and move to a different hustle used by a friend of mine to make extra cash while building wealth. You probably know someone in this hustle too. He buys run-down properties, lives in them while doing a total renovation (mostly by himself), and eventually rents the property after he has moved on to the next. This hustle has only cost him money out of his pocket once, during his first such home purchase. Since the house was in poor condition he only paid $1500.00 to take over the mortgage ...since then he's used the revenue generated by the rentals to fund everything! The positives of his hustle:

#1) He is actually well respected for fixing up these dilapidated properties and improving neighborhoods in the city.

#2) He can use his own judgment when renting the units out. He has helped some people who would have found it nearly impossible to get decent housing otherwise.

#3) The houses sell far below market for the area because of the work needed to bring them up to par. After he does his work he often has a huge amount of equity upon reappraisal.

He has six properties currently after selling one outright. Not bad for a side hustle!

The negatives of this hustle can be game breakers however:

#1) You have to be pretty handy and thrifty to rehab the house with little outside help.

#2) You need to be single since you'd be moving often and living in sub-standard housing at times.

#3) You have to be willing to deal with tenants and the headaches they can cause (you could get a management company to take care of all that for a fee).

Well there it is...........a great hustle for a industrious person who likes working with his hands. You may just want to sell the houses after renovation and pocket the difference. I hope to get with my friend and write a "step-by-step" manual on this hustle soon (maybe even a SBI site!).

My next post will revolve around creating an email campaign to promote hot and aggressive companies like Good Avocado who provide huge value to their customers while helping us all be a little more "green" and help heal the planet. They are out to become the hosting company of choice and have a great affiliate pay-out system. --see you then!

All Things Considered, Now Is A Really Great Time..........

As you know from the posts I have been super busy on building my latest site using SBI. I feel badly about not posting here more often (as if I have readers :-0) but I have found that in order to be the type of person I hope all hustlers aspire to be we need to constantly ask ourselves one question: "What's the best use of my time right now". Unfortunately my answers lately have caused me to neglect the blog a bit. I say unfortunately because this blog helps me clarify my thoughts for the future so it is very important to me. Hopefully now that I'm in the home stretch of the SBI program I can spend more time finding opportunities to list here.
One of the things I truly believe to be an excellent money maker (especially online) is monetizing specialized knowledge. I have talked about this many times with people I think have this kind of knowledge (like my friend from PitBullPushers I mentioned in some earlier post) and can make it pay off big. See the free e book at:

http://myks.sitesell.com/websuccess2164.html

Please take a good look at the page and if you have
any skill, knowledge, or practice that fits with the
program....feel free to contact me at:

daviddscott@gmail.com

and maybe we can become partners in a web site.

Just in case you are wondering: I do plan to move from
web based hustles to offline ones. In fact the first
one we'll look at in August will be fixing-up and
renting houses on a part time basis. The guy we'll
talk to has this down to a science and makes a bundle
with out spending a huge amount of time or quitting
his day job.So please stick around and keep your focus!

Thanks!

Intense ..............but fun, educational and profitable?

Hi- Hope you had a great holiday! I spent a large part of mine working though the Site Build It process. The first thing I'd like to say here is I'm surprised at how much I needed to learn to get the most out of this investment. I'm glad I included my daughters in this process. They are learning a lot about business -but more importantly-about how money is made on the web.

Some of the marketing tactics, tools and systems alone are (once mastered) going to help me make money for years to come. Right now I'm deep into "Pay per click" services and the tools used to make this type of marketing as profitable as possible. As I mentioned in an earlier post I have a few web sites already making me a little money, so I have used these tools to increase the conversion rates. Hopefully after I complete my first SBI site I can use my new skills to raise my previous ventures to the same level of quality.

The other big thing I'm going to use these tools for is to get some readership for this little blog. My reason for starting this blog is to share ways to make money. Right now I only have a counsel of one :-) I have planned for the future by securing the domain: shareyourhustle.com so potential visitors will find it more quickly. Not sure if I'm willing to go the "pay per click" route to get the readership up but it may be an option later. Well I'd better get back on the SBI site and work on the big project. I hope to be finished mid-month and have a day of drunken celebration!

My Web site hustle- the beginning...............

All I can say is: "WOW" ....The last few days working through the SiteSell process have been amazing. Both my daughters are working along with me and although I asked them to help for the purpose of showing them a viable way to add value in the world and make money too, the fact is that they help me stay motivated. The money I spent on the program is another big motivator. Out of all the money making activities I've worked, none cost me so much up-front. OK - $299.00 isn't a lot of money but I can't throw that kind of money away either.

Trust me when I say that I know for a fact that I will reap a substantial profit on that investment (not to mention saving a huge amount of time). The process is sound ......check it out:

Well here is how it all begins: You watch a video explaining how the Site-Build-It (SBI) 10 "day" plan uses a proven step bye step procedure which culminates in your web site ....your business on the web. They go to great pains to get you to stay focused and not try to "jump" ahead. Of course the term they use: "day" - is just arbitrary and any "day" could take a few minutes to complete or several actual days or weeks. You proceed at your own pace but you stay focused on doing each step in order.

Right now I'm at day 3 - I have a good idea of the theme and name of my site. Next (in day 4) it's all about monetization...how the site will make money. SBI has all this down to a science and I will have a good idea of the income I'd make from the site even before I design the pages (that process doesn't start till day 6). Hey I'm not going to lie and say this is super easy....it's not. I've had to put time and energy and creativity into this from the beginning. This is what SiteSell calls BAM (Brains and Motivation)....all you need to succeed.

I feel kind of like I'm not fully expressing the power of this particular hustle. The things I'm learning about the economics of the web and the tools I'm using to get the same advantage huge companies have are amazing.............not to mention one of the best things: The community of SBI. The forums alone are worth the subscription. I'll have to save that stuff for later ...but please -if this hustle sounds like the one for you, email me and I'll send you a great e book that will tell all...free.

My latest project.....I'll keep you posted over the next 6 months

Hi, I have decided to go all out on my latest hustle- Starting a cash generating web site. Over the next few months I will post the blow-by-blow activities and results of my hustle, complete with financial information on cost and profit. I am very excited about web commerce again since I've found a company to do all the hard work to get my site listed high enough in the search engines to make me money. Take it from someone who has done this work personally....it is really time consuming and then you'll never be sure you've done all you can. The company is SiteSell and you can hit my affiliate link at:

SiteSell.com

As I post my experience you can decide if this is something you want to do as your hustle. We can only learn and build each other up as we share these experiences. Check out the information on the site and you'll see that you're utilizing your unique knowledge and interest to build your Internet traffic. I wasted a lot of time thinking that if I put a good idea into motion too soon someone would come along a steal it. This is the same as feeling that there is a limited amount of success and if I get mine someone else misses out. This is simply not true. Especially when it comes to the ever expanding Internet. Trust me , if I have any success in this hustle you can do that and more.

I have always used Godaddy to register my domains (and host most of them too) but the Site Build It package includes all that in the yearly fee. I still feel that Godaddy is a great company to get cheap domains and provides great service if you want to go it yourself and attempt to save the fees. Check 'em out at my other affiliate link (hey it cost you nothing and I only rep companies that I use and deliver great service) :
GoDaddy.com Hosting Plans

Actually doing the whole thing from scratch will teach you a lot. That knowledge could be the basis for a great web site in and of itself. You'll become an expert at web commerce and that's very valuable. To get started read the free ebook available for FTP from the public/ftp directory on one of my other sites: Tradecreditcards.com

Well I am currently doing my reading in preparation for the ten-day site building process I'll start Friday. This material is covered in the above mentioned free ebook as well. I'll let you in on the buying process later this week.................Thanks.

Father's day...2008.....Still Relevent?

I was having a conversation with my oldest daughter the other day about my dream to become completely self-employed (or at least become a salesman on a 100% commission basis) when I became aware of how deeply the pattern of working a "safe and secure" job has become ingrained on our social DNA. I talked about an hour and still feel that things I feel are basic to freedom didn't make a dent in her idea that success is that corner office, company car, and (if you're smart) the gold watch at retirement.

I assumed (and hoped) that the general decline in public trust....the Enrons.....the inability (or lack of desire) to stop a slow moving economic disaster like the sub-prime bubble - would make younger people aware of how fragile our economy has become. As a country and as individuals it seems obvious that the more control we give others exponentially multiplies our chances for economic failure.

This is what we really get when our hustle is "on" --Control-- and even more than that we get (here's my favorite word!) -- POWER-- Yeah! I said it! Its' meaning I like most is: "The ability to do"..........So compact and so true! Ability to provide for our families, to develop ourselves to our God given potential.......To decide.

Well that's my thought for today......I realize I have like zero readership right now, but expressing my thoughts here helps me stay focused and motivated. I hope in time other like-minded individuals will join this blog and we can all benefit from collective POWER! Please keep in mind that some things are not for everyone. The way these guys make that extra money is to breed and raise American Pit bulls. The processes they use can be adapted to most breeds of course and if you're not too picky about credentialing your pups you can provide an adorable nearly pure-breed at a price the average family can easily afford. I think back to the time my girls were small and we wanted a Jack Russell terrier. One look in the paper and we knew that pup would bust our budget.

The point here is that if you take good care of your pups and their parents you can provide a great dog to a family at a good price and hustle up some excellent cash for yourself. Anyway check out their new web page at www.pitbullpushers.com if this seems appealing to you. The page is under construction with you-know-who as the web master (one of my side hustles). They have a more informative My Space page. Well check it out and I'll post you soon!

Hustle vs. Moonlighting...........

Many people find themselves in a situation financially and decide to moonlight as a way to ease the pressure. That is a very smart decision, but we here are focusing on a side hustle as a way of life. The benefits we seek go beyond money: self reliance, life management skills, and a long term vision are the major rewards if we stay the course.
In keeping with these goals, we can stretch our definition of a hustle to exclude moonlighting at a "normal" job. Our hustle is like a little enterprise or company in which we have complete ownership and control of. Staying as independent as possible is half the fun and besides a job is an automatic loss to a large degree (see Steve Pavlina's post : 10 Reasons you should never get a job).
So I hope our conversation will revolve around becoming more entrepreneurial in our approach to making a living and our general mindset. I will in the next few weeks highlight some of the hustles I have come across both big and small. Most can be started with less than $500 capital (many much cheaper). They are "side" hustles so we are looking for net income in the $600-$2500 a month range without requiring a bunch of time to operate. So check back soon............

Great place to start.......

If you're a new "hustle hunter" my recommended site is the Master Success site at : http://www.success.org or their new site: http://billfitzpatrick.com/

If you're looking for motivation and direction check these sites.....you'll have an idea of the possibilities to change your life and the lives of so many others. I'm actually using an hour or so of my holiday to review the new site...............a good use of time.

Use of money and time will be important themes here. They both speak directly to our ability to do the things others won't....to have the life we want for ourselves and families.

My definition of a "Hustle"......

For the purpose of this Blog I consider a Hustle to be any legal and moral activity engaged in as a secondary means to earn money. In fact I consider having a profitable hustle a key to long term financial success. The establishment of this activity should be a very high priority for most working adults.
This Blog will focus on passing along ideas and experiences from people who feel that the 8 hour work day is what we do to survive, but our hustle is our path to success. Please join in this exchange! We all need motivation and tips from others as we navigate the many ways to get that hustle on.
