I always wanted to develop the launching and tracking platform for our own products and finally i am able to took some time out and build a product on side called as "Launch It Now".

WDYL, short for What Do You Love?, is a new website from Google that lets you search across all the Google Products from one place. The final home for WDYL, according to the HTML source, is likely to be google.com/whatdoyoulove but its not live yet.

Type in a query and WDYL will display the top search results from Google Images, Blogs, Maps, News, Books, YouTube, and other Google Search properties – neatly arranged on one page but there’s one element missing – web search.

Also, it looks like safe search is currently not enabled for Google WDYL so you may sometimes encounter NSFW results for regular queries. For instance, I searched for “Gmail” and the top photo result in Picasa was that of a woman on a beach.

Mobile Phone Charger Needs No Electricity

Saw a very cool device, a device that could be useful to millions of households in India and elsewhere who have mobile phones but sometimes not get enough electricity to charge their phones.

TES NewEnergy, a company based in Japan, has created a new USB based charger that can charge your mobile phone without requiring electricity – all it needs is a heat source which could be as simple as a pan of boiling water or even a campfire.

The device, known as Pan Charger, converts heat into electric energy and that can charge any cellphone, MP3 player or other mobile device over a USB connection in 3-5 hours. Thetech specs say that the USB connection also has a built-in radio and a lantern – things that you often need when there’s no power.

Being on the Startup World from around 4 years from now, I Learned that every one needs to have a "F Square" Implementation over there project.

F1 = Fast ---> F2 = First

The reason why everyone should follow these is because if your are First then you can verify your model which is very important in case of startups. And If you are Fast then thats an added bonus since if your startup gets verified then you are the first to roll the idea and gets most out of it.

I just read something very interesting from Tea Talk, i thought to share with you people, these are the rules suggested by Bill Gates:

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2: The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. Weboword is a an app that helps you visualize vocabulary by associating hand crafted pictures to English vocabulary. The pictures are situational, the goal being that the word will be understood and retained easier by the user by understanding not just the picture, but the context of the situation that is depicted in the picture.

For instance, consider the following picture that is used to explain the meaning of ‘baffle’.

Picture dictionaries work well with common nouns and words that can be depicted using pictures. However, with the situational pictures, Weboword is able to illustrate not just nouns but also verbs, adjectives etc.

The idea’s pretty interesting but I’m not sure how well it can scale. Trying to illustrate all aspects of English vocabulary can be a challenging task. None the less, the approach is pretty interesting and I could see this being used effectively to teach not just non-native English speakers, but school kids also. The illustration approach can make learning vocabulary for kids not only easy but engaging and entertaining also.
