I super love pinks, so this summer offering from Zoya is right up my alley. Here are swatches of the Zoya Summer 2022 Pink Palette and my thoughts on these.

Zoya Joanie

Zoya Joanie is described as a soft tulip pink cream. I love how clean it looks on the nails and not too out there. This can be the perfect neutral or office nail polish.

Zoya Maddy

Zoya Maddy is THE most perfect pink on my nails. It compliments my skintone perfectly. I will never be without this one.

Zoya Shannon

Zoya Shannon is described as a warm melon pink cream. It is the perfect summer color.

Zoya Kay

KZoya Kay is described as a bright paradise pink cream. This makes for a nice pedicure color.

Zoya Gigi

Zoya Gigi is described as a red azalea cream. This is the brightest of the bunch and is leaning towards a watermelon red.

Zoya Angel over Gigi

Zoya Angel is an iridescent pink overlay that is a nice topper over other creams. Not a fan of toppers that much but Angel is very cute with the iridescent micro shimmers.

All in all, I am loving this collection because I am such a sucker for pinks.

Zoya Abundance Spring 2022

Time to bust out the flip flops and sandals! Spring is upon us, and here are the sunny shades of Zoya Spring 2022 called Zoya Abundance collection. Here are swatches and my thoughts on the colors.

Zoya Kit

Zoya Kit is my absolute fave from this collection. It is described as an old rose cream. It is my go-to neutral for the perfect everyday color. Love to wear this when my nails are a little bit longer - gives such a a feminine look to the hands.

Zoya Gwen

Zoya Gwen is described as a muted tea rose cream. This is my second favorite from this collection because I love pinks, especially this time of the year.

Zoya Lena

Zoya Lena is described as a wisteria purple cream, but it goes on as a jelly to me rather than a cream. It is opaque in three coats as opposed to two. The color is lovely, though.

Zoya Ellis

Zoya Ellis is described as a dark rich cerise cream, but as you can see in the photos, it does not look dark and rich at all, it looks like a bright pink. I love it though and it's a great spring hue.

Zoya Tyler

Zoya Tyler is a deep indigo blue cream. I love blues so this is definitely up my alley. This would make a great summer pedicure color as well.

Zoya Elsa

Aptly-named Zoya Elsa is a described on the Zoya website as an "iridescent cool-toned blue with a purple magical shift with densely-packed rainbow glitter nail polish". You can use this on its own or as a topper. This is a gorgeous glittery polish that screams spring and summer.

My favorites from this collection are Kit, Gwen, Ellis and Tyler. These retail for $12 a pop and are available on Zoya.com.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard (Medium 1)

I have been using the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer since 2013. I wrote a review on this blog nine years ago, but I guess it's time to revisit this concealer. I'd say it is up there with my favorite MAC concealer, the MAC Pro Longwear concealer, but in better packaging. Not a fan of MAC Pro Longwear's pump design, as it promotes product waste because you cannot really get every last bit of product at the bottom of the glass bottle.

Going back to the NARS concealer, I love how creamy it is and the doe foot applicator applies product exactly where you want it - under eye, around the nostrils, between the brows, and anywhere you want to highlight. It doesn't cake in the undereye area and it's just an overall great concealer. A little goes a long way as well.

I typically use Custard as my go-to shade (Medium 1). It hides undereye circles and uneven skintone quite naturally.

Took a lot of photos because I really love this color. OPI Pink on Canvas is a beautiful dusty pink that almost looks like a mannequin hands manicure when I wear it. It almost blends into my skintone which I love. It is from the OPI 2021 Fall Collection (Downtown L.A.), but the color can be worn year-round because it's neutral. Such a beauty. I will wear this when my nails are longer to create the illusion of longer fingers.

The Naturel line of Zoya is one of my favorite collections/series of this brand. I tend to gravitate towards neutrals and corporate-appropriate colors during times I need to be in the office, so this is the perfect collection for me. Below are swatches of the nail polishes and the gloss, and my thoughts on these.

Zoya Sutton

Zoya Sutton is described as a muted pinky nude cream. I am so in love with this color. This is the perfect manicure hands for me. So clean and professional-looking.

Zoya Chelsea

Zoya Chelsea is described as a powdered blush cream. I love how clean this looks on my nails.

Zoya Evan

Zoya Evan is another beautiful nude! A little darker than Sutton but is also so clean and pretty on the nails. It is described as a softened saddle cream.

Zoya Parker

Zoya Parker is described as a warm greige. This is perfect if I want a darker nude but still want to have long, mannequin hands.

Zoya Elyse

Zoya Elyse is a one of my favorites because I like tones of purple. It is described as a gentle aubergine cream.

Zoya Hot Lips Lip Gloss in Sweettart

Zoya Hot Lips Lip Gloss in Sweettart is described as a shimmering mauve. It is a combination of color and lip therapy in one product. I like to keep it in my purse if I need a quick touch up if my lips are dry. This doubles as a lip balm and a lip gloss topper over my liquid lipstick. This retails for $6 each.

All in all, I am really a fan of this collection because as I said, I tend to gravitate towards neutral tones. These retail for $12 a pop and are available on the Zoya website.

Happy new year! Hoping that this new year is a better one than the last for all of us! Zoya launched a new holiday collection that consists of five nail polishes and one lip gloss in a tube. Let's look at the shades. Here are my thoughts:

Zoya Alexis

Zoya Alexis is best described as a shimmering white diamond with a mirrored effect. It is quite sheer as you can totally see my nail line (whites) in the swatches.

Zoya Esme

Zoya Esme is described as a a soft rose gold with a glistening gold glass fleck. This is one of my favorites from this collection. It goes well with my skintone and can be neutral enough for work.

Zoya Marlena

Zoya Marlena is described as a mid-toned cerulean blue with a gorgeous gold fleck effect. I love these types of shimmering deep blues from Zoya like Estelle. It is such an eye-catching hue.

Zoya Dominique

Zoya Dominique is another pretty one. It is described as a royal purple with a fierce glass fleck effect. If you love purples with gold shimmer, this one is for you.

Zoya Sophia

Finally, the star of the show - Zoya Sophia. It is described as a intense crimson red with a golden glass-fleck blended in. It was my mani during a portion of the holiday season, and I love how festive it is!

Zoya Hot Lips in Limo

Zoya Dazzle Collection comes with a lip gloss called Limo. Zoya Hot Lips in Limo is described as a shimmering white. I don't wear it on its own as it looks slimy on my lips with this color. I wear it over a matte lipstick and it makes my lips look luscious. It doesn't contain parabens and retails for $6.

All in all, I was a bit surprised that Zoya only came up with six nail polishes for this holiday season. Nonetheless, I love the shades because none of them are creams. The only color I am not particularly fond of is Alexis. All the rest are stellar hues. Zoya nail lacquer retails for $12 each and is available on Zoya.com.

Zoya Mila

Zoya Mila is what I'm wearing on my toes right now. Super pretty rich, deep red cream that looks great with strappy heels. This is definitely my go-to fall nail color.

Zoya Becca

Zoya Becca is described as a blackened fig cream. I love purples, more so the dark ones during fall, so this right up my alley.

Zoya Cooper

Zoya Cooper is described as a logan green cream. I am not a fan of greens on my nails, but I gotta say this one really complements my skintone.

Zoya Austin

Zoya Austin is described as a blue wedge-wood cream, but it's pretty much a periwinkle blue cream to me. Since I like purple-leaning blues, this is one of my faves.

Zoya Rumi

Zoya Rumi is so romantic, and perfect for fall! It is a muted terracotta cream.

Zoya Vivi

Zoya Vivi is my absolute top favorite from this collection. So neutral yet romantic and eye-catching at the same time. It is described as a dusty, cool-toned rose pink cream.

All in all, I love the color palette of this collection - definitely your usual fall palette but the shades are dreamy. They retail for $12 a pop and Zoya are available at leading salons and on zoya.com.

Spring is here! Here are the swathes of the new Zoya Spring 2021 collection.

Zoya Val

Zoya Val is one of my absolute favorites from this collection. It is described as a relaxing mid-tone blue cream. It is exactly how it is described- very cool and relaxing to the eyes.

Zoya Kayleigh

Zoya Kayleigh is described as a calming light lilac purple cream. This has a dusty quality to it that is very pretty. It is also a favorite since I'm a sucker for lilacs and purples.

Zoya Mara

Zoya Mara is described as a muted rose-toned mauve cream. This is such a gorgeous shade. This is my top favorite from this collection because this is such a versatile hue - I can wear this to work, as an everyday color and even on special occasions.

Zoya Tweedy

Zoya Tweedy is described as a bright and uplifting bubblegum pink cream. I have so many of these shades that this isn't special in my collection, but it is still a very pretty color and perfect for spring.

Zoya Joyce

Zoya Joyce is described as a juicy hot pink cream. This would make a great pedicure color. I can't wait to wear this on my toes as the weather warms and I can wear my strappy heels or sandals.

Zoya Ella

Zoya Ella is described as a refreshing coral cream with a kiss of pink undertones.

Zoya Ella is describe as a refreshing coral with a kiss of pink undertones. I love that it is not a bright coral but more or of a subdued one.

Zoya Naturel 4 Collection + Glossy Seal

Zoya Naturel 4 is Zoya's transitional collection - six neutral shades to welcome the transition between winter and spring. I have most of Zoya's Naturel collections in the past, but I think this is the best one yet, and I believe this is the best 2020 collection from Zoya. Here are the swatches of the Naturel 4 collection, and my thoughts on these.

Zoya Adeline

I can honestly say that I was so smitten with Zoya Adeline. It is described as a deep fig taupe cream. Zoya has one of the best cream formulas out there, and Adeline is no exception. It glides like butter on the nails, and it is a beautiful color for fall.

Zoya Evelyn

I have way too many photos of Zoya Evelyn because I want to showcase how beautiful it is. I'd have to say that this is one of my best Zoya nail polishes EVER, maybe one of the best polishes, period. For someone who has almost the entire Zoya line, that is saying a lot. It is the most beautiful light blush pink cream. The formula is dreamy and perfect. I bought my usual coffee and for the first time, the barista noticed my nails and complimented them. This is a beautiful color that one can wear year-round and will flatter all skintones.

Zoya Barrett

Zoya Barrett is describe as a taupe-violet cream. This looks like a cool-toned mauve to me. Another gorgeous cream, and I can wear this again and again and it will always looked beautiful and timeless.

Zoya Cami

Zoya Cami is another gorgeous color - described as a pale mauve taupe cream. It is a little darker than Evelyn, but still very neutral and perfect to wear to a conservative office environment.

Zoya Marlowe

Zoya Marlowe is described as a duo chrome with rose gold shimmer and slate blue base. It can be worn alone or layered with other creams to create contrast. It is a nice winter shade, although the duo-chrome is not as strong as the other duo chromes from Zoya.

Zoya Vivian

Zoya Vivian is described a a dusty grape cream. I am in love with this polish, as the rest of the polishes from this collection. It may be because this collection is heavy on the pinks, purples and mauves, which are totally up my alley. Formula is again luscious and rich; just perfect.

Zoya Naked Manicure Glossy Seal

Last but not the least, the Zoya Naked Manicure Glossy Seal is my new favorite top coat. It is the only super glossy top coat that does not smear and ruin my nail art and gives the most beautiful high shine on my nails. The best thing is that it does all these without toxic ingredients. I have top coats that do the same thing, but they contain Toluene, which is a known carcinogen. This will always be my go-to glossy top coat from now on.

All in all, you can see how impressed I am with this collection from Zoya. As I've mentioned, I think this is Zoya's best 2020 collection. Zoya has truly mastered and perfected the cream formula.

Zoya Holiday 2020 Intriguing Collection

The holiday is upon us! Once again, Zoya comes up with twelve shades that are just apt for the season. Here are my thoughts and swatches of the Zoya Holiday 2020 Intriguing Collection.

Zoya Isti

Zoya Isti is this season's Pixie Dust color. This is Zoya's signature glittery texturized formula. I have to say I LOVE this new and reformulated Pixie Dust compared to the past formulas. It is not as textured which I really love, and my makeup does not transfer my nails unlike the past Pixie Dust formula. This is a beautiful wintery blue shade.

Zoya Avi

Zoya Avi is described as a smoky-greige cream with a hint of red-brown. It is a dusty red-based purple under direct sunlight and I love the formula - super smooth and self-levels effortlessly.

Zoya Lottie

Zoya Lottie is described as a soft champagne pearl with glistening shimmer. Reminds me of freshly fallen glistening snow. Super pretty and clean.

Zoya Beverly

Zoya Beverly is described as a dark purple-toned red cream. This is more of an oxblood color to me. Love this shade- quite unusual.

Zoya Soko

Zoya Soko is gorgeous - it is a brilliant fire engine red that leans warm. It is described as a poinsettia red cream. Very festive and perfect for the holidays.

Zoya Brett

Zoya Brett is described as. deep charcoal indigo cream. Another cream that behaves perfectly - such a joy to apply.

Zoya Meredith

Zoya Meredith is hands-down my favorite in the collection. Absolutely beautiful, breathtaking midnight sapphire blue that reminds me of the dark winter sky. This is one of the best shimmery blues I own, which says a lot, because I own a ton.

Zoya Nico

Zoya Nico is a celadon pearl with silver shimmer. I am not a fan of these colors, but I have to admit that this looks pretty on my skintone and looks refreshing and clean.

Zoya Eunice

Zoya Eunice is another pleasant surprise - wasn't too excited about this color, but upon wearing it, I was surprised to see that it flattered my skintone. It is described as a chartreuse metallic green

Zoya Regina

Zoya Regina is a gorgeous metallic emerald green. This looks very striking on the nails and very holiday-esque.

Zoya Nisha

Zoya Nisha is another winner along with Zoya Meredith. Zoya Nisha is described as royal-blue violet metallic. This is very deep and shimmery and gorgeous on the nails.

Zoya Koley

Zoya Koley is described as a ruby-pink metallic. I am not a fan of reds in these kinds of finishes. Looking at the swatches, though, I'd have to say it is quite gorgeous.

My favorites from this collection is Meredith, followed by Nisha and Regina. The creams behave very nicely and are not finicky at all.

Target Affordable Finds: Wild Fable Short Sleeve V-Neck Cropped T-Shirt

Target Short Sleeve V-Neck Cropped T-Shirt

I have never ever encountered a 5-dollar shirt at Target until I came upon the Wild Fable Short Sleeve V-Neck Cropped T-shirt. It was not even on clearance, but regularly-priced at $5. I got the colors black and white, just very basic tops for casual errand days, or for layering under a cardigan since it is getting a wee bit cooler. This is the most inexpensive clothing piece I've ever bought at Target, and I of course washed it before wearing; no shrinking whatsoever even after putting it in the dryer. I love that it doesn't pill, and there is no unraveling at the seams either after washing.

The only con to this item is that it runs quite small. I am usually an extra-small when I shop at Target, but I am wearing a medium in the photo. Also, it is very cropped. I would advise wearing a high-waisted bottom if you don't want your midriff to show. There is a non-cropped version of this for $8. Again, for a Target shirt, that is quite a bargain.

Zoya Andrea

Zoya Andrea is described as a cool-toned duochrome metallic with green and purple shift. This is one of my absolute favorites from this collection. I think it complements my skintone and is just a beautiful shade especially for fall.

Zoya Bentley

Zoya Bentley is also one of the best colors from this collection, especially if you are a purple lover. It is a deepened grape cream.

Zoya Patrice

Zoya Patrice is my absolute favorite from this collection. This is a shade that can be worn year-round. It's a beautiful blush with a rainbow/gold microshimmer.

Zoya Tommy

Zoya Tommy is a dusty blue-toned slate grey cream. This would make for a great fall/winter color because of the dusty cool tone.

Zoya Soleil

Zoya Soleil is a warm sparkling cider metallic. Not my favorite shade in the collection, but it's pretty nonetheless.

Zoya Tasha

Zoya Tasha is a very pretty brown metallic. This is a very fall color and one of my favorites from this collection.

Zoya Lisa

Zoya Lisa is described as a rich red garnet cream. Kinda surprised there's only one red in the bunch. It's a beautiful, quintessential fall red.

Zoya Mel

Zoya Mel is like an army green cream to me, although it is described as a muted forest green cream.

Zoya Wanda

Zoya Wanda is described as a cool toned rouge pink with gold and rainbow micro shimmer. This is such a Barbie-pink shimmery color.

Zoya Teresa

Zoya Lou

Zoya Lou is described as a deep spruce blue cream with a hint of green. This is such a festive, holiday color.

Zoya Sharon

Zoya Sharon is described as a red-based wild berry cream. This is not a unique color in my collection, but still pretty nonetheless.

Eylure Pre-Glued Wispy Light No. 117 Lashes Review

I've talked about how much I liked the Amazon magnetic lashes in a previous post, but I dropped by Target today and just had to try the Eylure Pre-Glued Wispy Light Lashes. I really hate applying glue to my lashes because it tends to pull out my natural lashes. That said, I'd like to stick to magnetic lashes as much as possible. However, I was drawn to this one because the packaging says it is a 15-hour wear but takes only 15 seconds to apply. I was sucked into buying because of the promise that it will only take so little time to apply, and will work especially well for hectic mornings. Well, that proved to be - quite true.

It was so easy to apply; it's even easier to stick on than magnetic lashes, just because there is no separate application of either magnetic liner or glue, no waiting for the glue or liner to dry. However, there is a downside - the pre-glued application only works once. If you want to use the lashes again, you'll probably have to apply glue to your lashes because it won't stick anymore. My falsies started to become unglued on the 4th or 5th hour of wear.

It is a beautiful, wispy pair of lashes though. It feels light and airy, and very comfortable to wear. It is a bit expensive for around $5 a pop, but you can wear this more than once, so cost per wear goes down considerably.

Summer and Fall Staple: Amazon Sleeveless Layering Top Review

We just hit a milestone this summer. Phoenix set the record for the hottest month ever recorded, according to the National Weather Service. August 2020 was the hottest month on record in Phoenix since tracking began in 1896. We've experienced at least 52 (and counting) days of temperatures 110 degrees or higher. Wow. I can't believe I've been running with my dog every night in 106 degree heat. I think what makes it a wee bit bearable is that (okay, everybody now) it's a dry heat. That is why these tops from Amazon have become my staple every day (and when I say every day, I mean every single day) top this summer. The Lark and Ro Sleeveless Layering Tank is really comfy and cool during these sweltering hot days. They are also professional enough for meetings at the office, and they make great shells for blazers and jackets. I have about 10 of these in different colors. They also run a bit big, so if you want a more snug fit, I suggest that you size down. The Lark and Ro Sleeveless Layering Tank retails for $19 and comes in either crew or V-neck.

I am excited to share with you the Different Dimension Planetary Collection and SpaceX Duo Swatches and my thoughts on these.

First up are the SpaceX Duos. These are pink and vibrant blue crellies with contrasting glitters that are fun pops of color.

Different Dimension Behnken

Different Dimension Behnken is a beautiful neon blue crelly with contrasting neon pink glitters in various shapes and sizes. I love blues and pinks so this is totally up my alley.

Different Dimension Hurley

Different Dimension Jupiter is a terra cotta crelly that has wonderful orange/green flakies. I love the neutral base of this polish.

Different Dimension Saturn is gorgeous! Definitely my top favorite along with Uranus. It is a dove grey crelly with added green to silver color-shifting shimmers. The color looks so sophisticated and elegant.

Different Dimension Cheers to 8 Years

Different Dimension Cheers to 8 Years is a special polish created to celebrate Different Dimension's 8th year in business. Congratulations! It's described as a grey crelly with added purple to blue iridescent color shifting flakies, UCC flakies, and gold flakies. It's an anniversary polish so it retails for $10 and will be available through August 31st, 2020.

Different Dimension Venus is a pink to gold to green color shifting flakies in a scattered holographic base. This is similar to Earth except that this has more pink.

Different Dimension Uranus

Different Dimension Uranus is a gorgeous dove grey crelly with added blue to silver color-shifting shimmers. This is probably my top favorite in the collection along with Saturn.

Different Dimension Earth is such a complex color! It's described as a blue to green to purple shifting flakies in a scattered holographic base.

Different Dimension Mercury is a pretty dove grey color with added red to orange color-shifting shimmers.

Different Dimension Neptune

Different Dimension Neptune is a dove grey crelly with added purple to blue shimmers. This one is very pretty under direct sunlight like in the above photos.

If you do not know what Polish PickUp is, it's a monthly curation of the best nail polish colors from different indie nail polish brands that follow a monthly theme. This month, the theme is all about Weird Science. Different Dimension comes up with a gorgeous polish that is just perfect for the upcoming fall season called It's Electrifying.

The color is inspired by Plasma Ball. It is described as a purple to pink multichrome magnetic polish with added blue to purple to pink iridescent color-shifting flakies. I do not have a magnet to play with the polish, but the polish looks stunning even without the magnet application.

Different Dimension It's Electrifying will retail for $11, no cap.

Different Dimension also comes up with two yummy scents of cuticle oil pens. There is the Cuticle Oil Duo: duo of cuticle oils in Proton (sweet cherries with orange cream, coconut, and vanilla custard scent) and Neutron (sweet cranberry and raspberry scent). Proton reminds me of cotton candy on my cuticles; I can't stop smelling it! Neutron is wonderful fruity scent that is a pleasure to apply and keeps cuticles moisturized and soft. This duo retails for $8 (no cap).

Amazon Magnetic Lashes (Arishine Magnetic Lashes)

I am coming at you with a review of the Amazon magnetic lashes in the brand Arishine. This is my first foray into magnetic lashes as I have a million pairs of glue-on lashes and did not want to buy expensive magnetic lashes. However, I found them for a very reasonable price on Amazon. I got the Arishine Magnetic Lash Kit that comes with five pairs of magnetic lashes of varying lengths and volume, two magnetic eye liners for the lashes to adhere on the lash line, and an applicator for only $22.99. The kit was also delivered in less than a day with Amazon Prime.

The first kit I bought included really dramatic pairs of lashes, so I had to cut the length of the actual hairs as they were too long and too dramatic, hence the blunt look of the lashes in the first four photos below (lol). However, this turned out well and it didn't really make the lashes look off or funny.

I am super amazed at the application. It was a breeze and definitely a game changer! I use my regular fine-tip black liquid liner first, then I apply the precision brush tip magnetic liner on top from the very corner of my eye to the wing tip, and I fill in the tiny triangle between the wing tip and the end of my lash line. I wait for it to set/dry for around five minute while I do the rest of my makeup, then use my tweezer to apply the lashes. It was so easy and fast! I usually hate wearing glue-on lashes everyday as they are tedious no matter how often I do it, and the glue pulls off my natural lashes making them look even more sparse. The magnetic liner adheres to your skin and not the lash hairs, so it doesn't pull off your natural lashes.

The last photo above was taken after a 30-minute run in 105 degree heat. I am amazed at the results - the lashes didn't budge at all!

I bought a couple more magnetic lash kits from Amazon. This one is the natural look magnetic lash kit. I love that I don't need to cut the corners to fit into my small eyes, because I usually do that for glue-on lashes.

I am so glad I was able to get really affordable and reusable magnetic lashes off Amazon. They are really very easy to use and I can even use them everyday, given that they take almost no time to put on and they don't tug or pull off my natural lashes. I don't even have to get lash extensions (I never have) anymore. I didn't like the idea of lash extensions as I hated the idea of going back to the salon for touch-ups. I hate the upkeep, but I love the fact that you get perfect lashes in the morning. However, with the ease of application these magnetic lashes bring to the table, I really have no reason to get lash extensions (especially with the current social distancing situation). I am so happy about this purchase that I just have to share!

Summer is truly upon us, so I am excited to share with you some swatches of the Different Dimension Summer 2020 Tutti Frutti Collection. I've been a fan of Different Dimension nail polish - an indie brand that creates one-of-a-kind, shimmery, multi-chrome, holo, crelly, magnetic, thermal, and every other kind of nail polish texture or finish you can think of. Today, though, I am sharing the Summer 2020 collection called Tutti Frutti. It has six neon shimmer polishes and two white crellies with neon glitter. Here are my swatches and my thoughts on these. I used three coats for all swatches.

Different Dimension Squeeze the Day

Squeeze the Day is described as a neon yellow jelly with aurora shimmers. I love this polish - it really makes me happy and lifts up my mood. I also feel that this complements my skintone.

Different Dimension Berry Cute is described as neon jelly polish with aurora shimmers. This is one of my favorites because the blue is not too retina-searing and in-your-face. It is also the perfect medium blue.

Different Dimension Grapeful for You

Different Dimension Grapeful for You is described as a neon purple polish with aurora shimmers, although I see this as more of leaning pink - hot purply-magenta.

Different Dimension Peachy Keen

Different Dimension Peachy Keen is one of my favorites from this collection. Such a beautiful neon coral! It has beautiful aurora shimmers that are breathtaking. This is the perfect summer pedicure color.

Different Dimension Lime Feeling Good

Different Dimension Lime Feeling Good is a neon green jelly with aurora shimmers. This is the perfect color to lounge by the pool. It is such a hot, hot, eye-searing neon green.

Different Dimension Thanks A Melon

Thanks A Melon is one of my top faves from this collection! I love the combination of neon pink jelly and the aurora shimmers.

Different Dimension Unicorn Sparkle

Different Dimension Unicorn Sparkle is a white crelly polish with tiny multi-colored neon glitters. This is such a clean, fun polish.

Different Dimension Candy Shop

Different Dimension Candy Shop is a white crelly polish with large, multi-colored circular glitters. It is advised that for easier application of larger glitters, the bottle can be turned upside down for approximately 5 minutes, or a toothpick can be used to ‘fish’ out the glitters and manually place them on the nail. This requires a topcoat to smoothen the finish.

And it's finally here - Summer 2020 collection from Zoya! It's called the Splash collection - and it's very apt. The shades are very pool/beach ready - I am loving the vibrant colors and the touch of pastels.

Below are my swatches and my thoughts on this collection.

Zoya Jodi

Zoya Jodi is described as a pale ice-cream pink cream. I thought it was more of a bubblegum pink - but yes, the color does remind me of my favorite ice cream of all time, Haagen Dazs' strawberry flavor! I love these types of pastel pinks during summer.

Zoya Eclipse over Zoya Jodi

Zoya Eclipse is described as a glistening silver with holographic rainbow sparkles. It's a pretty topper - here I used it over Jodi. It really makes ordinary cream polish look so sparkly and princess-y.

Zoya Emma

Zoya describes Emma as a starfish coral cream with a touch of pink undertone. This is why I am attracted to Emma - it is not too orange on my skintone but has a rosy undertone.

Zoya Leilani

Zoya Leilani reminds me of a beautiful Hawaiian flower. It is described as a glistening pink grapefruit with gold microshimmer. It is beautiful under direct sunlight, and I prefer it that way rather than indoors for some reason. Either way, it's pretty.

Zoya Celi

Zoya Celi is a sweet cherry with gold micro shimmer. It basically has the same finish as Leilani. I think it would make a great summer pedi color.

Zoya Greta

Zoya Greta- ahh!! Such a juicy, luscious red! It's the perfect summer red color. This is one of my faves from this collection. This is described as a ripe tomato red cream so this leans warm.

Zoya Harbor

Zoya Harbor is hands-down my favorite from this collection. I wore this on my nails and I couldn't stop looking at them. It is described as a tropical emerald sea green cream. This is the perfect pool or beach color.

Zoya Fisher

Zoya Fisher is described a a sunkissed seafoam green with gold micro shimmer. I don't know if I did anything wrong in the application but it applied streaky. I think it was because I didn't wait long enough in between coats. This is three coats.

Zoya Corinna

Zoya Corinna is blush with gold micro shimmer; basically it has the same formula as Fisher. It is a beautiful shimmery neutral that I think I can wear everyday to work.

Zoya Kristie

Zoya Kristie is beautiful. I am a sucker for pinks so this is right up my alley. It is technically a hot pink cream but is described as a deep magenta popsicle pink cream.

Zoya Jessica

Zoya Jessica is described as an African violet cream. This is a red-toned purple and can be a transitional fall color too.

Zoya Maren

This is another favorite. Zoya Maren is described as a vibrant nautical blue cream. I was stupid enough to throw away my original and much-coveted Pacific Blue polish from Sally Hansen last year, but could this be similar/a dupe? It does look like it!

I've always been a huge fan of wrap dresses. They're comfortable and can be worn almost anywhere - to work, dinner, or even a semi-formal occasion. It can also hide problem areas in the hips, thighs and tummy if you have those. I've read really good reviews about the Amazon brand Lark & Ro's v-neck wrap dress, so I snagged two prints to try these out. I tried the navy and white pinstripe and the black one with mini tulip design. I got the XS size and they fit pretty well. I like that these hit below the knee, at least on me, as they really look more professional with the below-the-knee length. This dress has cap-sleeves with a v-neck and overlapping bodice that lightly skims the body, and a tulip hem that is figure-flattering on most body types. The material is also very lightweight and doesn't easily crease. All in all, I really can't say negative things about this dress, except that it may be a bit pricey for some, as the price ranges from $33 to $39, depending on the color and the print. I would say that it is worth it, though, especially if you are looking for a no-fuss dress for work, dinner or a special event.

The best part is that this is part of Amazon Wardrobe, where you can get to try these before you buy (free for 7 days).

Vince Camuto Bevveyn Ankle Strap Block Heels

I noticed that DSW has slashed many of its shoes' prices, so I snagged this pair online using a gift card I got from my loved ones last Mother's Day. I got the Vince Camuto Bevveyn Ankle Strap Block Heel Sandals for $34.99. This is probably my fifth pair of block heels, and I have them in various heel heights and colors. I like block heels because they're very comfortable to wear even when the heel is high. These are 3-inch heels and still very comfortable. I got the taupe suede, but these are obviously NOT taupe but more of a butternut color. I didn't contemplate sending these back because I do love the look and they fit perfectly.

I also like that these are Vince Camuto heels and yet they're quite affordable given the name brand. These are quite versatile shoes and you can wear them anywhere - you can wear these to work with pants or dresses and skirts, to dress up a pair of jeans and a white tee, or wear with shorts like I did above if you want to spice up the outfit for a special dinner or date. I wore these with my two-year-old Universal Thread High-Rise Denim Shorts and an old sheer sleeveless top (with a cami underneath). These shorts are old but very comfortable! I will forever purchase Target shorts as long as they stay true with the quality of their denim.

The Colourpop Going Coconuts Palette has been getting a lot of love lately on social media and YouTube videos. Such adoration is just apt as it is the perfect everyday palette for me. I've come to really abhor super warm eyeshadows (such a strong word, but then my feelings against very warm shadows are strong too). I really had a hard time understanding why a lot of people love these shadows when cool shadows work great on cool and warm skintones. The Colourpop Going Coconuts Palette has the right amount of cool tones that are super wearable. It has I believe five mattes, a matte with microglitter, and three metallics in a 9-pan palette. I can see why this is really such a popular palette. You also can't beat the price of $12, and Colourpop does regular sales too, so it comes out cheaper if you do stumble on these sales.

One of my favorite denim shorts is on sale today - and the sale ends today (Edit: As of 5/3, 20% off sale of Target shorts is currently going on online). I love Target's Universal Thread™ Light Wash High-Rise Fray Hem Jean Shorts. All the attributes of my favorite shorts are in this particular pair. First of all, they are high-rise. I don't buy jeans or shorts that are not high-rise anymore. I decluttered all my low and mid-rise pairs quite a while ago. High-rise silhouettes flatter my body type better, and give a more seamless look to tops over jeans or jean shorts. Second, they are light-wash. I used to hate light-wash denim and only preferred dark wash because it looks more formal. However, if I want to look more carefree, and during those breezy and I-really-can't-be-bothered days, I choose light-wash. Light wash denim also looks amazing with white tops (which is actually one of my goals - to build a white wardrobe). Thirdly, the fray hem all the more lends to the easy-going look of this pair. The big factor that makes it a little more pulled-together is the button-fly closure. I LOVE button fly denim. It may be a bit fussier than zipper closures but I like the classier, more unusual look. I particularly love the fact that this has gold buttons instead of silver.

This pair is very comfortable. I am a size 2 and it fits true-to-size. I also love that I can throw this in the washer and dryer and it won't shrink. Denim fabric is also soft and has a nice feel.

Essie Mint Candy Apple

I've been loving shopping my stash recently and I'm in love. I've been rediscovering some old loves and favorites that I've completely forgotten over the years. This one is a 9-year-old polish bottle of Essie Mint Candy Apple. It's one of Essie's top shades and is a beautiful mint green. I am a little perplexed by some YouTubers/bloggers' description of this polish. They say this is a mint blue, but I don't see any blue in it. It's either that or I just have color blindness. It's a very pale green that is great for spring and summer. I posted a blog entry featuring Mint Candy Apple way back in 2014, but I added some nail stamping which I believe worked well with this color.

It's an old bottle but the formula is still great- I didn't even have to add nail polish thinner to make it fresh. This is a classic Essie and if you love the brand, and you love pastels, this polish is a must-try.
