Love the idea and site you've developed. Was precisely what I was looking for. I think I eventually discovered it with the search phrase 'rounded education reading list'.

That's what I'm essentially after; knowledge over a wide breadth of important subject areas. Although I did well in school and gained entry to a good university, I feel there are gaping holes in my education as a whole. What you've done here is start to provide a roadmap for anyone wishing to fill these holes in. Thanks very much!

It might be, but I think the printing format isn't really a problem - making or finding the content is the hard bit.

I know this is a somewhat predictable thought from a founder of newspaperclub. But I wonder if a newspaper might be an interesting format for a curated set of articles/pieces on a particular topic of 'study'.

I think the trivium and quadrivium (septivium combined) is still a valid platform to build an education upon even in 2010.

I am concerned to see such a breakdown in grammar due to technological deficiencies and impatience.

u no wat I m3n ?

OUCH

I think it was Aristotle who said a society is only as strong as it's ability to provide access to education for it's members.

If not ? I'm saying that now.

Thanks so much for compiling this list! I had that old thread bookmarked for awhile and was planning on going through it myself, but you saved me a lot of work in building my new reading list!

I hope I can contribute to your amazon affiliate paycheck in return for your service :D
