Wedding Photoshop Retouching

Here is a married couple that I just retouched. The original photos were overyl saturated. The red color was too strong.

Wedding retouching requires special retouching skills. You have to retouch subtle. People don't want to look like puppets with plastic skin.

So first I removed the yellow from teeth and whiten them. Next I smoothen the skin imrpoved the color, desaturated the reds in skin a bit. Then I removed tatoo from a wedding girl. Also I retouched and patched missing hair, removed tartar from teeth, decrease gaps between teeth, repaired chipped tooth.

Briefly I used adbrite ads on my site. The support is just horendous. You get a reply maybe in a week. But that is not the worse thing. People told me that they got trojan warnings after they visited my site. And that the full page ads from adbrite are just messing up their browser.

For a well known company Adbrite to act this way, is a very stupid move. They don't care? Maybe they got too many customers.

I suggest you stop using this lousy company.

I use this program all the time. It is really good Skype recorder. You can set it to record in mono, stereo, change the bitrate etc. It is simple program that will allow to automatically record your skype phone calls.

I used it before, but forgot the name of it. So I am writing it down in this article :).

Forget about Pamela skype recorder, this is a free recording mp3 software.

Exporting, editing the mysql table and importing it back to database - With Excel

First go to mysql and select your table for example I am using uc_products table. that is used in Drupal Ubercart site.

You just click on export and select

Excel 97-2003 XLS Workbook

Then you open the file in excel, and edit the data, remember, don't change how the rows are sorted, if you do that, put everything back like it was.

I usually do that to change some prices, or mass change weight, dimensions for my products.

ok so that is done. Now you export it as CVS comma delimited from Excel.

my Excel is kind of weird. Exported file does not use ; to separate cells. It uses , for god sake.

So first you need to do is to open your excel CVS file in notepad, and see how the file is structured

My first row looks like this

vid,nid,model,list_price,cost,sell_price,weight,weight_units,length,width,height,

As you can see there are no " " and no semicolons.

The cells are separated by commas.

Then you open the table in your mysql, empty the table and click on import.

Select import from

CSV using LOAD DATA

and for me, this works

As you can see I only filled the Fields terminated by with ,

That is it, this is the trick

Drupal Is The King Of All Cms Systems – Joomla, Wordpress Drop-dead Please

Drupal was again the best and correct choice for a new site. I had to build a new site, this time ecommerce site and I did not know what to pick, I thought Magento would do the trick, but it is rigid and not so much flexible.

But drupal just blew me away. 100 % satisfaction!!

No errors, bugs, nothing. I had to port the site from ZENCART (OMG what a mess is that) the site just stopped functioning. The users could not use shopping cart anymore. It was a total mess.

I had to port the complete site over to Drupal. I just did manual migration with excel, mysql.

But let me tell you how powerful drupal is. For every little minor request from my customer, there was a Drupal module.

There are so many modules but they work. Not like in Joomla (oh don’t let me mention this mess of a site).

Drupal I think is the only solution for having a complex site. It is super flexible. You just can’t compare it to any other CMS. No way!

I was able to import all product from old site through CVS file. I added them in bulk to new categories, I created special views, I set up different pricing for different roles, like wholesale role will see another price than retail users.

Then some products are only visible to wholesalers.

I setup the shipping through UPC and payments through Authorize.net.

Just amazing process. And theming was so wonderful. Node displays helped a lot. I customized new search function to search only partial words, without the need to use advanced modules.

I was able to add special fields to products……CCK did the trick again.

DRUPAL RULES, DRUPAL IS THE KING

If it is good for Obama, then for sure Is good for me too

BUT PLEASE USE DRUPAL 6, DRUPAL 7 is not ready yet

I have successfully migrated Zencart to Drupal E-Commerce Site

It was not an easy task. The Zencart site just gave up. It was a jewelry E-commerce site, that had many errors. We had to go into database, export all the tables, and create a cvs file in excel.

Excel was a great help. Mainly, I used VLOOKUP command to sort the fields that are dependent on other fields.

When I had all the fields in one excel file, I simply used node import to import it to Drupal Ubercart.

XAMPP Ultimate Guide

I am fed up with this XAMPP. I have to research forum each time I start to using it again.

So here is my personal little guide, that will help you set it up in minutes.

First just download the files. You can choose 32 bit version even if you run 64 bit WIN 7.

Just install it, dont tick any of the services boxes.

Then double click on xampp tray icon and enable apache and mysql.

SKYPE

If apache does not want to start, shutdown your skype, because skype is using same port 80.

You can change the setting in skype, under connection, untick the box where it mentions port 80. This should work.

After install type localhost into browser url box

http://localhost/xampp/

Click on Status, all the fileds should be green.

If PHP is deactivated, you should put password of your database into this file

/xamppfiles/phpmyadmin/config.inc.php and changing the password to reflect your mysql config

That fixed it for me

Then go to

http://localhost/security/index.php

and you should setup password for root acess and also for phpmyadmin

after you do that you are done.

DATABASES

click on tray icon and mysql admin button.

Here you can create databases.

Then download the drupal install files for example and put them into folder

htdocs/drupal/......

put each site into separate folder, for example I have many folders inside htdocs folder like drupal6, drupal7, joomla, wordpress, magento folders.......

Then just run the site

http://localhost/drupal

WORDPRESS ISSUES

Almost none, but in the first step of installing WP you can get this error

COULD NOT CONNECT TO DATABASE, make sure you input the username, password and database name in the configuration WP file. Then it should work. You have set up the password on your mysql because of security reasons, so you have to use that password now. It should work.

MAGENTO ISSUES

THere is this error that you get

"Please enter a valid URL. Protocol is required (http://, https:// or ftp://)”.

YOu can use firebug to just delete the whole line in html code and it will work great

MYSQL IMPORT ISSUES

If you can't import mysql database into xampp, then you might suspect the size and timout limits in the settings of mysql. You should edit my.ini file, xampp/mysql/bin

And change these two lines

max_allowed_packet= 64M
wait_timeout= 6000

Now it should work

Dragon recognition software 11 review

I just installed Dragon speech program 11... I am talking to the microphone and the program automatically recognizes my voice. The program is really good. It allows you to dictate text, dictate e-mails, open programs in Windows, do many other tasks.

It is perfect for fast writing. This is every content writer wet dream. I'm just talking to the microphone and the program automatically transforms my speech to text. I think my days of starting are over hopefully. This program is really really powerful. I used to have Dragon version 10 and it sucked. It did not recognize anything. But now the version 11 is really really good. I was often very lazy to type and now I can lie on my bed and just talk into the microphone.

I think I will always use this program for all the future content writing. This is a godsend. I'm just talking into the microphone and I cannot believe that at least 95% of words are recognized. Maybe 97%. If you make a mistake you just tell the program to repair it. You can delete the line you can undo the last word. You can even open the mouse, 70 pounds. I haven't tested this program properly but I know this is my new software.

Dragon speech recognition software 11 is the future and godsent for all the bloggers, writers, and other people.

High End Model Retouching - Online Before After

Here is another example of the latest retouch I did today. Well, this one was not easy. We all know Pamela Anderson. I think she was the most beautiful woman of all time. Well now she gets a little older. She still looks good. So I tried retouching skills on her.

What I did is:

Smoothen her skin
I enhanced her eyes
I enhanced highlights
Remove yellowness from her teeth

Here is a great old picture I found in my files. Apparently it was badly damaged so I had to restore it. Photo editing of this image took 1 hour. I would say it is not that easy to restore old images. Here you can see before and after animated image. I had to restore and edit every single pixel of this image. I did not want to over retouch, I wanted to keep the image old but not badly damaged.
