As I live my life for over a span of 40 & one.I have so many things to be thankful for...wonderful parents,brother & sister immediate & extended, friendships, loving husband, healthy children,wonderful grand child & beautiful family,all the blessings that I have & for giving me the benefits to feel both sorrow & joy.

I am also thankful for challanges, for they help me grow. I am thankful for sadness for it helps me compassionate. I am thankful for PAIN, for it brings me back to God.

But most of all,I am grateful for prayer that is there for me to use as guidance anytime and anywhere, it costs nothing and yet provides wealth beyond compare....

I thank You Jesus!I am so rich (not financialy) but because of the love I have in my life & the spirit of God.Amen!

Receiving & seeing postcard from a tropical country Philippines, my homeland, brought into my senses that I am missing all the chances seeing beautiful/historical places like Corregidor Island.I've been to so many places in Asias hence I've never been to a place like this before & it's so shameful to become a stranger/alien to my own country.

Babies 1st Birthday In Japan How To Celebrate?

The day has come & it seems like yesterday ...9/11 of the present year,we celebrated my precious grand daughter's first birthday!And like other babies in every other part of the country,Japan has also has its own tradition & a special custom for all the one year olds on their first birthday w/c is celebrated only once in a lifetime.
In other countries when you said fisrt birthday you'll expect a great birthday party, a huge birthday cake,lots of balloons,visitors & even clowns.
In Japan though birthday cakes may still be present for some families, Japanese parents celebrate their kids’ special day with one or a pair of pounded rice cake with the traditional colors of pink & white.

The birthday rice cake called by many names but I only know is for Kyushu in which where I live at the present now.And in my place it is known　as "mochi fumi" or rice cake stepping.

That’s a heavy load!My grand daughter felt very uncomfortable and start crying almost immediately. And as if that ain’t bad enough, the parents’ role is to PREVENT the child from walking smoothly by deliberately stumble them with a light push. Oh No! What an unthinkable way to dampen a child’s birthday celebration!
Japanese believed that life is never a smooth ride, but full of ups and downs, so it is better to let your buttercup knows that it’s okay to stumble along the way.And by carrying out this odd (and brief) ritual, good-intended parents wish for their precious child all through her/his life to be blessed with health, food.It also represents perfection, harmony, peace, smoothness, completeness, satisfaction as well as integrity. Such a positive word. I do pray that Baby will have all these wonderful qualities.Please watch the video below.

And not to forget the erabitori or "pick & keep an item ,"A Peek Into The Future.This is another part of the “First Birthday” Japanese custom .We had a few items set before her. It is said that the first thing that Baby select will show her/his calling, a tendency towards a specific.And we prepared the following & its meaning so please watch the video below.

Finally our birthday bash's special event wont be completed w/o her birthday cake & the blowing of the candle with the help of her father.^^

What Does Adventure Means To Me? My Great Time In The Legend Of The Seas!

This year seemed to be a roller coaster of highs & lows of hope for me & my family, hence after what we've been through, hubby & I enjoyed our cruise vacation that lasts for two weeks from the day of the 25th of June 2011 bound Hongkong,Sanya in China down across the sea of of Nha Trang in Vietnam ,by visiting the Imperial Hue,city in Da Nang & the famous sceneries, caves & islands that can be found in Ha Long Bay-Vietnam. And this kind of vacation done wonders in our spirits.

While on board we leave "ALL" our worries behind & live each day to the fullest like a king & queen.We found out that one of the most amazing part of our cruise vacation was the many rich & varied culture reprented from among the every guests.This diversity offered us a chance to learn about different parts of the world & make new friends as well.So it comes down to this question "what does adventure mean to me?"And the best part is, there is no wrong answer because whatever concept of adventure from a hot stone massage to parasailing,I found it all on my cruise vacation in Royal Caribbean International Legend Of The Seas!

The best part about traveling is being able to do things you can't do back home.And in our cruise vacation I've got an experience of a lifetime. (@^^)/~~~

So whether you need to put your feet up or let your hair down,getting comfy & cozy onboard is the best time to get relax .(^.^)/~~~

It's not everyday you can have a cruise around the limestone Islands of Ha Long Bay,so we took all the chances not to miss visiting the said place.And yet I missed visiting the Reunification Palace in heart of Saigon & the Imperial Hue in Vietnam for we ran out of time doing the reservations for the next day of excursion while we were still in Sanya -China (sigh).I maybe have to wish for a better next time (@^^)/~~~

They called this cave as the heaven's paradise.One of the people in Ha Long Bay who lives in a village found this cave & became famous in 1998.In this cave you can find beautiful limestones & lots of images with a meaning in it.

for instance,this image shows as the image of a married woman (the one on the right side).An image of a beast.They believed that when a woman got married the sweetness image will gone & the beast image appear.

I'd got the chance to take a shot of the ship from the tender boat while sailing away to Da Nang city.
Legend Of The Seas Royal Carribean International has a lenght of 867 feet with a gross tonnage of 70,000 tons,a beam of 105 feet with a passenger capacity of 2,076.Draft 24.5" with a cruising speed of 24 knots or 27.6 mph & with a crew capacity of 723.

It's been almost 3 mos. since I was diagnosed with a stage 2 non-invasive cervical cancer.
I felt like forrest gump for a week after the Dr. handed the said result to my husband. It feels like a roller coaster ride of highs and lows of hope ,that　I needed an immediate treatment then.One of the reasons why I was on & off in Fb & can't blog as well.And but with Gods grace & mercy & with the help of Japan’s advanced medical technology,laser surgery went pretty well.
And now since everything seemed to be alright, yeah for now ,for I dunno what lies ahead waiting for me for the next five more years.My health condition seems to be fine now & I feel better than before & ready to go for our Royal carribean legend of the seas asia cruise on the 25th bound Hongkong & Vietnam that my husband planned during when I was under treatment .
I’ll be gone for two weeks ofcourse with hubby together (minus the kids hehe) ,thus sounds like winning a battle with （＾ｖ＾）　(^.^)/~~~
So starting today I probably wont be able to hang around as long as I used to.I guess my blog as well as my Face Book account will rot for a couple of days to weeks. But don’t be fret hehe ,for I’ll try to get in touch still & try to send gifts back at y’all my neighbor friends in Farm Ville,City Ville,Baking Life ,Empires & Allies,Frontier & Café World ASIC when I gets there hehe,but please forgive me if I failed to do so.

I am a dual career mom & I have great kids.I enjoy their company immensely & watching them grow is amazing!I'm stunned at how much I enjoy being a parent.And yet there are times that I wanted to be simply just me.So after countless chores routines from work to home ,when night comes & kids are gone to bed & so as my other half, I'll just sit in front of my computer.
Aside from blogging 'though these past few days I don't blog much aside from the fact that I don't have motivation, I don't have much time to blog hop either & wish to do it so if much of time permits.

After What She'd Been Through...

It's been two months since the massive 9.0 magnitude earthquake that triggered a tsunami and struck off the northeast coast of Honshu ever recorded which has taken many lives of people living in Japan.How can we ever forget this?And the blast at Fukushima compounds & thus trully was in grave feared of Japanese nuclear disaster from all over the world brought into my senses that after what they had been through,how they will gonna bring their lives back again into pieces?Hence a very dear friend who lives in Iwaki Fukushima Japan,that no matter how desperate the situation was,she never fail to give others hope.Who care & think of the others first & less about herself.
Her name is Clarissa Candido, one of the living witness who proved that true friendships aren't really hard to find.The PMC or also known as the "Place For Filipina Mommy Blogger" proved this too.And I was really amazed by the kindness that PMC showed.Shared their sincerest prayers,shared their tears & sent some help without asking anything in return.Yet,Clarissa chose to send the said help to the people who she believes are really needing it rather than using it for their own good.And I am really amazed for the goodness of her heart.
And after what Clarissa had been through still she could find sometime to send us her thoughts.
I can't find the right words how to thank you.But since you really has such a good heart I guess a simple "Thank you very much!" will suffice you ^_^
Thank you so much Clarissa for the lovely scarf you sent me & for the cutey shoes you gave for my firstborn future.You don't have to do this yet I really appreciate it & appreciate your thoughtfulness the most. (HUGS)

And today I wanted to tell how much I love her.

Moonlight As A Mother

Most of us know exactly what a Mother is because we’ve had one.

I am a dual career mom & we have four off spring & being a mom of four kids was not that easy & ‘ve gone this far.

After I gave birth to my eldest,I suppose I could have quit my job,w/c would either end or seriously interrupt my career.But I chose to moonlight as a career woman or, if you like,moonlight as a mother.I don’t know w/c.But in my case I saw a strong reasons for not quiting the job,aside from the fact that we really need the income.

…my kids

they brings as a new sense of time,either it’s tedium or it’s swiftness,they also brings us into a community.It begins w/ extended family,child care,nurseryschool,gradesschool,high school,PTAs,kids friends & at the same time the fact that kids is likely to make other relationships decline.And the most wonderful was they bring w/ us the complications that change every equation in a marriage.The traditional family,w/ its traditional gender roles,however imperfect in other way.
Being a mother I learned one secret ,that being a successful parent is developing their ability to recover contact w/ oneself as a child to regress playfully for a time.To the extent that having children forces us to re-evaluate & revise the selfish element of our personal agendas & we have a chance for personal growth.
...sacrifice will still be there,nevertheless.No agreeable connections between work & home will ever change that.Trade-offs,compromises & expediency are inevitable.

Black & White is the theme for this week here in Mommy Moments.
If you combine the two colors of black & white you'll see gray of it all.And what does black & white means when pertaining to an individual?Thus means you are absolute kind of person.All that is wrong is wrong which stands for black & all right is right stands for the color of white.However if you combine them both you'll see is gray & nothing but gray.Thus means we cannot classify people as completely bad & completely good easily,because we're all bad & good inside.

My Darkest Day...Treatment Succeed...The Ant & The Contact Lens

"God, I don't know why you want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and It's awfully heavy. But, if you want me to carry it, I will." God doesn'tcall the qualified, He qualifies the called.
When you hear the word “burden”, what comes to your mind? A heavy load or weight on your mind?
Something that has been put upon you, something you are facing in life that seems almost too hard to bear. ILLNESS maybe or it can be many different things that weigh us down and affect our emotions, our thoughts, and even our decisions.
God has allowed or permitted certain things to happen in our lives that we may not understand or so difficult to understand why certain things happened to us.But God allows nothing to happen to the believer without purpose or reason and no matter what happens to us or what circumstances we face in life, God is able to make them all work out for our good and for His glory, even if it is correction or judgment because of sin in our lives. There is many times a hidden value, a purpose, which is not evident to us until the situation is resolved and the burden removed.

After my laser treatment done that lasts for atleast two weeks due to my stage two cervical cancer, still unexpectable things occured.I almost loses faith.Why it is easy to become discouraged when prayers seemingly go unanswered? Each minute that passes becomes more excruciating than the last without an answer.But with the moral support from my family & closes friends around,my burdens lightened.I must not to deny my burdens. That it is unrealistic and an attempt at deceiving myself into thinking, “if I ignore it and treat it like it doesn’t exist or happening to me maybe it will go away.” I learned to face the fact gradually , that God has allowed or permitted certain things to happen in my life because He has a reason & whatever reason He has, I am WILLING to accept it all.With Gods grace & mercy,treatment went well & positive results for the cancerous cells turned out to be negative now.

Fear creeps in as faith slips away and the painful waiting can be absolutely unbearable. Before long, desire can turn to desperation and one is left feeling helpless and alone. But we’re not alone. God is there waiting for us to reach to him, waiting for us to acknowledge His presence. As we wait, our focus becomes intently on the destination we have our eyes on. Instead, God would rather we focus on our journey and what He has for us along the way. When the road you're on becomes unfamiliar or uncertain remember, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105. Seek God and His Word. Allow Him to light your way.

And here I would love to share to you all a true story by Josh & Karen Zarandona about the "Ant & the Contact Lens".

The Ant And The Contact Lens

Brenda was a young woman who was invited to go rock climbing. Although she Was scared to death, she went with her group to a tremendous granite cliff.

In spite of her fear, she put on the gear, took a hold on the rope, and started up the face of that rock. Well, she got to a ledge where she could take a breather. As she was hanging on there, the safety rope snapped against Brenda's eye and knocked out her Contact lens. Well, here she is on a rock ledge, with hundreds of feet below Her and hundreds of feet above her. Of course, she looked and looked and looked, hoping it had landed on the ledge, but it just wasn't there.

Here she was, far from home, her sight now blurry. She was desperate and began to get upset, so she prayed to the Lord to help her to find it. When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but there was no contact lens to be found. She sat down, despondent, with the rest of the party, waiting for the rest of them to make it up the face of the cliff.

She looked out across range after range of mountains, thinking of that Bible verse that says, "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole Earth." She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me."

Finally, they walked down the trail to the bottom. At the bottom there was a new party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?"

Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across the face of the rock, carrying it!

Brenda told me that her father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a picture of an ant lugging that contact lens with the words, "Lord, I don't know why you want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what you want me to do, I'll carry it for you."

I think it would probably do some of us good to occasionally say, "God, I don't know why you want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and It's awfully heavy. But, if you want me to carry it, I will."

God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
