The most obvious reason why a person will suffer from lower back pain is that they have injured their back on account of performing some task such as lifting a heavy object or because they were involved in a serious accident that led to damage in the lower back.</p>
<p>If your body does not have proper core stability, it results in weakening of the muscles in the lower back. Consequently you become prone to developing lower back pain. The wrong weight training techniques can also cause you to injure certain joints in your body and the lower back is an area that is most liable to suffer as a consequence. Furthermore, being excessively overweight will put added stress and pressure on your back and this in turn means that the chances of experiencing lower back pain are increased.</p>
<p>In today’s society, we tend to do a lot of sitting and this in turn leads to the freezing up of our joints. The result is decreased mobility in vital areas of the body including the ankles. When the ankles lose mobility, the body looks for added mobility in the knees. <p>One of the biggest causes of back, neck and <a href="http://sciaticnerveexercises411.com/">sciatic nerve pain</a> is due to muscle imbalances. Muscle imbalances are an imbalance between 1 or 2 muscle groups. For example, the hip flexor muscles in relation to the gluteus muscles. If the hip flexor muscles are stronger and tighter in relation to the gluteus muscles, you will have an imbalance of the two muscles. That imbalance can then pull your pelvis forward causing further imbalance of your pelvis in relationship to your spine and hips.</p>
<p>Another common imbalance example is the lower abdomen and the lower back. Many people suffer from chronic tightness in their lower back and have weak lower abdominal muscles causing a lot of strain on their lower back.</p>
<p>Muscle imbalances are a direct result of how we use our bodies. For example, many of us spend a lot of time sitting. While sitting, your hip flexor muscles get really tight as well as the hamstring muscles, while the gluteus muscles get really soft and weak. Prolonged sitting also tightens the lower back while the lower abdominal muscles weaken, so you have at least 2 major muscle group imbalances caused from simply sitting.</p>
<p>These muscle imbalances can create pain in two different ways. The imbalances can create pain directly or indirectly by creating a condition that leads to pain. For instance, the imbalance between the hip flexor and gluteus muscles tends to pull the pelvis forward creating tension and tightness in the lower back, placing it under constant strain. These imbalances create excessive wear and tear on the discs, which will make the discs break down much sooner than they normally would.</p>

When your spine cannot handle the weight, it will slouch. In the back, there is such a mechanism that will stop you from lifting something that the back is incapable of handling. Good posture goes hand in hand with the spines ability to support the body, and the good news is that one can totally eliminate back pain simply by mastering four basic principles.</p>
<p>Firstly, we need to ensure that the muscles in our body are able to withstand tension, in that they must be strong enough. Since strength is tension, these muscles are unnecessarily wasting effort on simple tasks, tiring easily, and causing mysterious aches and pains.</p>
<p>The third principal revolves around the ability to relax and this is essentially somewhere in between strength and flexibility, in that it represents a balance where the muscles are neither contracted or stretched. Generally speaking, relaxation is the key to good posture and also endurance. When one learns to relax one&#8217;s muscles sufficiently, the spine is then able to function as it should, in that it will allow for a good posture.</p>
<p>The fourth exercise, which may in fact be considered to be the most important, is the ability to be aware of what your body is doing. Awareness enables you to realize exactly when your muscles are using strength, when your muscles are being flexible, and also when you&#8217;re relaxing sufficiently. However, awareness is something which one needs to develop over a period of time, and in so doing, you&#8217;ll be able to master the art of keeping your spine in perfect alignment. The bottom line is; in order to maintain an ideal posture you need your muscles to remain flexible while at the same time keeping unnecessary tension to a minimum. This is essentially why body awareness can help you dramatically in terms of achieving adequate relaxation.</p>
<p>Providing you do some posture exercises, all the skills mentioned in this article can be improved with no more than ten minutes of your time each day. You will however have to hone them all successfully in order to see results, bearing in mind that they all go hand in hand. As such, if you end up neglecting one of them, you&#8217;ll either reach a point when no further progress is possible, or you&#8217;ll simply end up back at square one.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For years we have been conditioned to believe that isolating our muscles and exercising them in segregated sections helps to concentrate on each individual area. Now people are realizing that this is not such a good idea. Working the muscles in unison is known as full-body <a target="_blank" href="http://sciaticnerveexercises411.com/resources/spine_exercises/2579/" rel="nofollow">spine exercises</a> and are found to be much more useful.</p>
<p> The muscles that are connected to the spine are known as the &#8220;core&#8221;. These muscles work together to coordinate the movements of many joints in different directions, so its very important to keep them well toned and strong. The stability of the core is essential to the success of every athlete. They realize that the core muscles are the foundation for every other movement.</p>
<p> When a small group of muscles are worked individually, they are built to a degree that they are able to stand alone, but are they able to hold up to the strain of working with the other muscles? Of course they can&#8217;t. Within the torso, the pelvis, spine, and muscles work to support the scapula and work together to create a solid base that supports the muscles. This makes it clear that muscles are meant to work in unison, contracting and releasing, working together as the full body spine exercises do.</p>
<p> It not very easy to just start doing full body spine exercises. The muscles must be trained to work together and help each other. Over time the muscles will become a team that can operate in a coordinated and elegant manner if practiced regularly. For instance, if a heavy object is lifted and the back is used to support the weight without using the strong biceps in the arms, the task would be impossible.</p>
<p> There are a number of individuals that will argue that the muscles have to be isolated in order for the muscle to become as independent and strong as it should be. To some degree this makes some sense, but it&#8217;s just not true. The muscles are all interconnected and if one of the muscles becomes stronger and more flexible than one of the attached members, it will put strain on the muscles that are weaker, causing extreme imbalance. This also has a lot do with our functional fitness, meaning the performance of our normal activities and regular activities. Full spine exercises keep every muscle at its full potential. The potential for injuries are reduced when the muscles work together to protect the weaker ones from sprains.</p>
<p> There are plenty of people that will argue that the muscles have to be isolated in order for each of the muscles to become strong and independent if needed. This does make a little bit of sense, but its simply not true. The muscles are all interconnected and if one of muscles is stronger and more flexible that one of the attached muscles, the weaker one will feel strain. This can cause a tremendous imbalance. This has a lot to do with the body&#8217;s functional fitness as well, our essential performance as we go through our day to day activities. Doing full body spine exercises on a regular basis will keep every muscle at it full potential. Injuries are also reduced when the muscles interact with each other, protecting the weak muscles from sprains.  Working many muscles together is vital to <a target="_blank" href="http://sciaticnerveexercises411.com/resources/improve_posture/322/" rel="nofollow">improve posture</a> over the long term.</p>
