Her sex appeal is potent enough to roil off the screen and off the pages of a novel, which is why Savanna Samson plays central roles in both The New Devil in Miss Jones and a new venture, Vamp: A Vivid Girl Book. Jones, co-starring the revered Jenna Jameson, updates the 1972 Gerard Damiano classic of the nearly same name and casts Samson in the title role, alongside the original’s Georgina Spelvin. AVN’s Heidi Pike-Johnson has called it “the perfect film,” and director Paul Thomas is promoting it as the best film he’s ever made. “It’s a universally appealing title with a suspenseful story line and powerful dialog to go along with the amazing sexiness that Jameson and Samson bring to the production,” said Vivid, adding, “Savanna is a talented actress with an irrepressible sensuality that is so right for the Miss Jones role.” The film is being released September 21 in five different languages, and will be the subject of a 32-page supplement to Genesis magazine, hitting newsstands September 27. Savanna Samson created a stir on Saturday evening when she was handcuffed to a Philadelphia police officer while signing autographs at The Mood in Philadelphia. According to an article in the Philadelphia Daily News, Samson was not in custody but was cuffed to the officer, and wearing his police hat, while the pair posed for a Polaroid photo. But duty called, and the officer ran out of the store when his radio sounded police business, the story said. Later, he and three more of Philly's Finest returned to retrieve the Polaroid. The four officers then held Samson in the air and posed for a group photo. "Based on what you're telling me, if that in fact occurred, it would be extremely inappropriate and something we would definitely look into," police spokesman Bill Colarulo told the Daily News. The newspaper said other noteworthy goings-on during the Samson appearance included: Felix Wilkins, who plays flute on the 400 block of South Street, serenaded her with the theme from "Love Story." Samson, who wore a hot-pink satin dress, also mooned a Ride the Ducks boat as it cruised by, according to the report.

Cameras whirred and fans pressed 10 deep against a velvet rope in Las Vegas to catch a glimpse of their favourite porn stars sashaying into one of the first entertainment awards shows of the year.

The 23rd annual AVN Awards, the Porn Oscars, boasted a higher attendance than ever this year, with more than 5,000 watching Saturday night's two-hour-long event in a huge ballroom at the ritzy Venetian Hotel.

Actor Manuel Ferrera, who picked up an award for Male Performer of the Year, drew laughs when he thanked "everyone, especially the ladies".

Best Film Actress winner Savanna Samson was cheered when she recognized the support of her peers as crucial because "most of my family is pretty ashamed of what I do."

So we follow her through all these things that happen, and it's interesting, because it's weird stuff, it's not just a normal fantasy vignette thing; it does have a story, all the things link together and kind of come together at the end."

Don't fret, though — it may be weird stuff, but that doesn't mean it's not hot stuff. "The sex is amazing in it," Skow said. "Savanna really went all out.
