The good news is that you can now get the free internet tv software totally free. Just released is TVPC Elite software that provides all the streaming internet channels that exist in one small download package. It also has a video search function included and auto update option available for the many updates that come along. Phew and many other names are all used to explain the process of watching TV on your PC and over the internet. So whats it all mean and how do you get it? Well the first thing you will need to watch TV over the internet is a broadband connection, dialup just doesnt cut it so get a fast connection. The faster the better.

Internet TV, Online TV, Free TV

This refers to TV channels that have online streams. Many of these streams come from well known sites such as ABC news, QVC etc plus lots of totally unheard of channels. There is a large selection although they tend to be shopping/news/music/chat shows and not any premium content.

To watch These Internet TV channels you will need several free media players that are available for download from the internet. Windows Media Player and Apples Quicktime are two of the most common. However, different websites use different media players, so you may need to download them all to take advantage of all the content thats available online.

The difference between streaming and downloading

If your going to watch TV on your PC live or in ‘real time’ then the data has to be sent to your PC over the internet fast enough so you can watch without any hold ups. If your connection isnt up to it and cannot stream the video quick enough, the end result will be freezing screen, and patchy viewing quality whilst your computer waits for parts of the program to load up.

However already downloaded content does not have this problem as you download the entire video file before you start viewing. The downside with this is that the files are very large so if your broadband connection is on the slow side, you could be waiting for hours or even days!

These big files can also use up any capped broadband package allowance if you have it. You need to keep an eye on how much you are downloading as a single episode of 24, Grays anatomy or Desperate Housewives, for example, will use up several hundred megs of your data allownce.

How to download TV shows and Movies

To find and download a movie or tv episode you need to download a free p2p software package. Then search for your movie or show and start downloading. Once its done you can access straight from your hard drive anytime even when your offline. You can also use Torrents to download which is similar to P2P but a little more complicated.

Watching Movies and TV shows

Catch up TV, On demand TV
To watch the program you want you can either go to the official networks website such as ABC or NBC etc. and search for the show. Most sites have a catch up list so just click the link to streaming TV and start watching. The downside with this method is that many networks will only allow you to watch the show if your in the right country. So to watch the American networks you need to be in the USA. They can check this from your computers IP address.

Free Movie & TV show websites
By searching the many streaming TV and movie sites on the internet you can view latest movies and TV shows as soon as they are released. List of TV and Movie sites here. The downside of this method is that the legality of it is in question, although the sites are all still online and Google links to them all, however this may change at any time in the future. Also many of these sites have pop ups and other unsavoury advertising going on.

Enjoy the world of internet TV and dont forget we will always have the latest in online TV developments and news here on Satellite TV4PC.

And you can probably understand this better anyone if having gone through something similar yourself, and just want to avoid the work that lies ahead.

More than likely, you have many questions and concerns such as, are these pieces of software really safe, legal, risk-free and scam-free. And to answer that, I can honestly tell you all the packages found here are indeed legit. And not all of them are software where you have to download the vendor's 3rd party TV player preloaded with 100s or 1000s of channels and stations.

In other words, you can get connected to a non-software network or site with everything in one place that can give you the best of Internet TV--not just some of it but all it. And the same goes for most of the PC Satellite TV software packages included here.

However, keep in mind that broadband Internet TV doesn’t live in a perfect world and neither does hi-tech software that's used to streamline, organize and harness the power of the Internet with all its free unlimited media.

For starters, don’t get too wrap up in the title of a software that includes Satellite or Satellite TV. This isn’t the same thing you may or may not be getting at home, Cable/Satellite service. However, the safe thing to tell you is this… You will get the next best thing to paid TV and save more money when comparing this to any paid television subscription.

Free digital Satellite-Cable TV on your PC or not. At best, you’ll get the best of free Internet TV has to offer which is unlimited premium, HDTV and on-demand channels from around the world including, but not limited to, movies, sports, television shows/sitcoms/episodes, and even adult entertainment depending which software you choose.

By the end of day, any one of the PC Satellite TV software packages you choose here can very well blast your television entertainment through the roof, and allow you to watch TV on your PC 24/7, whenever and wherever.

So the best way to begin your quest to finding the right software package of interest, and that's affordable while meeting a specific need is to take look at the sidebar Top 10 Satellite TV4PC software packages.

Ever since the 1930s we have purchased and used standalone TV sets for entertainment and up to date information but now things are changing. We live in a world that is very different from what it was only a few years ago, a world where digital TV, Satellite TV, computers and the Internet are all around us. Today the computer is as common in the home as the TV set is. I know of many households that actually have more computers than they have TV sets.

Computers are now used routinely for research and information gathering. This used to be done to an extent, by television current affairs and news programmes. Informational TV programmes haven't stopped but they are relied on a lot less than they used to be. It's so much easier to use the Internet now especially when you need information immediately.

Is a standalone TV no longer required?
The home computer revolution has crept up on us almost without notice and it might come as a big surprise to you to find that your computer is now capable of doing everything that your TV set can do and a lot more. It wasn't so long ago that to have the kind of processing power needed to decode and play full motion digital video from sources such as sattelite, cable and terrestrial broadcasts, not to mention DVD, would have been unthinkable. When you sit down and think about it you might want to consider buying a PC the next time you go shopping for a TV set.

How to use your PC to watch digital television.
Not very long ago in the early days of PC TV it was necessary to install a TV capture card inside your computer in order to watch television broadcasts without using a standalone television. This was not a difficult task but it wasn't simple or elegant either. It also made it unsuitable for use with notebook PC's which limited the appeal somewhat. Notebooks were also less common and more expensive a few years ago so there was no incentive to develop such systems.

Affordable, powerful and cheap notebooks with USB 2 arrived.
At the time of writing, the cost of a conservatively powered, but "powerful enough", notebook is comparable to the cost of a good TV set. In fact I paid half as much for my last notebook as I did for my TV set. They all support USB 2 interfaces and are fast enough to accept a digital video stream in real time. With this combination your notebook PC or your desktop PC is well able to perform as well if not better than your average TV set.

USB satellite TV.
The USB 2 standard PC interface is one of the best advances in computer technology for a long time. It's versatile and fast enough to cope with a variety of different applications including streamed real time digital video. Manufacturers of computer peripherals have jumped on this opportunity to bring you a mountain of products that enhance your computer by simply plugging them into the USB socket.

There are now plenty of USB 2, plug in solutions for receiving, decoding and watching sattelite, cable and terrestrial TV. The standard for digital television is DVB which stands for " Digital Video Broadcasting". There are 3 versions of DVB to look out for DVB-T, DVB-C and DVB-S for terrestrial, cable and satellite use.

What are the disadvantages to using digital television USB adapters?
Adding a digital television adapter to your PC to watch free-to-air broadcasts is a great idea but if you want to subscribe to any encrypted pay-for-view channels such as Sky in the UK you may be unlucky. At the time of writing the only way to watch these channels is through a set top box designed for the service.
The future is digital television and computers

As computers become more and more like TV's the need for a standalone TV set will diminish and ultimately vanish. I don't know when this will happen but it might be sooner than you think.

The same requirements are standard for all of them, no matter what brand name is used. This guide applies to, all Windows-based OS (operating systems). As for Linux and MAC OS, it’s best to contact the merchant with questions. The first thing for a Windows-based user to do is know his/her computer system. This will ensure your computer meets all system requirements.

The example below refers to Window XP OS. If you have a different OS, the steps will be somewhat different on your computer. But the steps below should help point you in the general direction.

Determining Windows Operating System

Click the Start button, then click All Programs.

Highlight Accessories, a window appear to the right.

Highlight System Tools, another window appears to the right

Click System Information.

Write down the following:

OS Name - For instance, Microsoft Windows 95, 98, Me, Nt, 2000, XP, or Vista.

Version (look for Service Pack): For Instance, Service Pack 2.

Total Physical Memory (RAM) - For instance, 1,024.00 MB.

Available Physical Memory (RAM) - For instance, 237.44 MB.

Processor - 2992 Mhz.

OR, use the "winver" command will give you an About Windows window that makes it easy to determine which Windows operating system you have installed on your computer. To determine the Windows operating system installed:

Click the Start button, then click Run.

In the Open: box, type winver, then click the OK button.

On the About Windows window, note the version of the Windows operating system installed on your computer.

Click the OK button.

A window will pop open with information about your system. You should write down the following information:

Windows OS - 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP, or Vista.

Service Pack - SP1, SP2, etc.

Physical memory available (RAM): For instance, 1,047,532 KB or 1,047 MB.

Determining Hard Drive Capacity
With the System Information window still open, do the following:

Scroll down, click the plus (+) next to Storage, then click drives.

Write down, Free Space - For instance, 30.08 GB (32,296,194,048 bytes).

OR,

Click the Start button, then click My Computer.

Look for your hard drive icon and right click on it. Generally, this will be Local Disk C.

Look for Free space and write it down. For instance, 32,311,308,288 or 30.0 GB.

Determining Internet Browser Version
If you have Internet Explorer or unsure, with the System Information window still open, do the following:

Scroll down, click the plus (+) next to Internet Settings.

Click Internet Explorer if not opened, then click Summary.

Write down, Version (Internet Explorer) - For instance, 7.05730.13 (version 7)

Note: If you have Netscape or Firefox, this information should be in this location. However if you are using a different OS such as Vista, you will have to find all the above information for your computer.

Determining Display Resolution
Again with the System Information window open, do the following:

Scroll down, click the plus (+) next to Components.

Then click Display.

Write down, Resolution - For instance, 1440 x 900 x 60 hertz

Note: If you can’t find the System Information on your computer. Try doing a search for “system information” + name of your OS on the Net for your computer’s operating system. For instance, “system information” + vista - be sure to enter quotes and + symbol.

At this point, you should have all the necessary information needed to see if your computer is compatible to any one of the Satellite TV4PC software. And if you want to make absolutely sure, just email your computer’s system information to tech support. They will tell you whether or not your computer is compatible.

Required Free Software Downloads
The free media player downloads are extremely important for any Satellite TV4PC software (TV player to work). Therefore, choosing the correct software for your OS (operating system) determines whether or not your TV player will work. Review Satellite TV4PC Media Player Not Working to download the free software and get more helpful information. Downloading everything now before paying the small one-time fee a Satellite TV4PC, determines one important thing - knowing whether or not all the software downloads work on your computer. If there is a problem, again you can email the merchant for a solution. But let them know you are interested in downloading his software.

Preventing Problems That Could Occur Prior To Satellite TV4PC Installation

(1) Close Other Programs
There may be programs running in the background (memory) that are interfering with the Satellite TV4PC software ability to access the Internet. Close all unnecessary programs and other browsers on your desktop including hidden (running in background) programs that will be running at the same time your TV player software is running. Graphic and video editors, in particular, take up a lot of memory and resources. Close all communication software as well. Although you can multitask when playing your TV player, for now you just want to rule out this part if an issue were to arise. Again, you can inform the merchant all the things you did on your end.

Keep in mind, all the procedures below can be performed after installing the Satellite TV4PC software. If there’s a problem with the TV player not working correctly--immediately after installation, then follow the procedures below.

To close other programs on Windows Vista, XP or 2000:

Right-click the Windows taskbar near the clock, then click Task Manager.

Click the Applications tab.

Click a program to highlight it, then click the End Task button. Note: If prompted, click the End Now button.

Click the Processes tab.

Click Image Name to sort the processes alphabetically.

Click a process other than the required processes listed below to highlight it, then click the End Process button. Required Programs (DO NOT END):

explorer.exe

services.exe

spoolsv.exe

svchost.exe

system

taskmgr.exe

winlogon.exe

Note: If you are unsure what other applications are required for your computer, please contact your computer manufacturer.

Click Yes.

Repeat steps 6 and 7 until each non-required process is closed.

Click the "X" button to close the window.

To close other programs using Windows Me/98:

Hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys on the keyboard, then tap the Delete key once.
Note: Holding the Ctrl and Alt keys, then tapping the Delete key two times consecutively will restart your computer. Any program(s) which have been closed will restart when the system restarts.

Click a program other than the required programs listed below to select it, and then click the End Task button. Required Programs (DO NOT END):

explorer

systray

Note: If prompted by a Close Program message, click the End Task button.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 until all non-required programs are closed. Notes: If you have a large download in progress, slow it down or stop it when listening – the player needs a steady stream of data from the internet.

(2)Clear your browser's cache and enable your browser's cookies (applies when TV player is embedded in browser).

(3)Restarting the computer will refresh your computer's resources.

(4)Once you learn which program can’t be running while your TV player is player, you must close it every time you use the player.

I've tested several over the past few months, including the Apple TV, Boxee for ATV, PlayOn for the PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360. In this final installment (for now, at least—you know how it goes with gadgets), I look at one of the most obvious ways to port online videos to the big screen. This may sound crazy, but I used—wait for it—a good ol' fashioned PC.

Here's the problem: While online media receivers like Apple TV and software like Boxee and PlayOn are steps in the right direction, they're still too limiting or require too many complicated steps to expand them in a way that truly lets you have access to all the things on the Web.

For those who want the Internet's entire video collection at the click of a button, turning an inexpensive desktop into an online media hot spot is ideal—and it's a lot easier to do, since most desktops now feature TV-friendly connections such as HDMI, DVI, or VGA. (And if they don't, that's not a huge problem—you can often get adapter cables.)

Here's the other nice thing about a PC for your TV: You don't need a fancy-shmancy desktop computer to make this happen. All you need is a PC with a decent processor (somewhere north of 2 GHz should be fine) and graphics card (64MB and up should work) and WiFi. Bluetooth is an added bonus for setting up a wireless keyboard and mouse, but there are other wireless options for those who don't want to chip in for the extra feature.

What operating system you use is really up to you. You'll probably want to stick with whatever you're already comfortable with. I personally find Apple's OS to be extremely easy to use and rather foolproof, but I know there are plenty of diehard Windows and Linux users out there so I'm not going to attempt to convince you to switch in this post.

A big decision you have to make is actually a pretty superficial one. What do you want sitting with the rest of your media set-up?

I recommend getting something small and demure. No one wants to look at a huge tower next to a sleek flat screen—much less have to find room in an already—crowded media cabinet. You will have to pay a premium for a PC that easily camouflages with the rest of your home theater, but if you're like me and care about interior design, it's worth the extra dough.

In order to try out both major OS flavors, I tested a Mac Mini and a Shuttle H7 G4500 running Windows Vista.

Mac Mini
Roughly the same size as Nintendo's Wii, this midget PC is a powerhouse. It features a Mini-DVI port (the Mini also comes with a DVI adapter or you can buy an HDMI or VGA adapter) which can display 1920 x 1080 HD. It also comes bundled with Bluetooth.

Apple sent over a small Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and—let me tell you—this made all the difference. Whenever I can avoid tripping over cables is a good thing, plus it made it easier (Bluetooth doesn't need a line of sight to the PC in order to work) when the TV was angled to face different sides of my studio apartment.

Because I already use a MacBook for work, maneuvering through sites and videos on the Mac Mini was easy. I didn't need to learn a new user interface or find plug-ins in order to access specific sites. The main issue is the price. At $600, the Mini's a lot more expensive than Apple's media-receiver solution, the Apple TV. But in my opinion, it's well worth the extra cash. Being able to sit back on the couch and stream video from any source (iTunes, Hulu, Netflix, you name it), while also pulling up Google pages to answer doofus questions about Survivorman, highlights the value of watching something via a computer.

Shuttle H7 G4500
This bad boy (7.5 x 8.2 x 12.8 inches) is hefty but still sleek with its squat, square shape. In terms of real estate, I'd say this is going to take up roughly the same amount of space as a decently sized shelf speaker. It comes bundled with Windows Vista, along with HDMI and VGA outputs.

While the Shuttle was easy to use, it did take a while to get started. I needed to install a wireless card as this model doesn't come with one pre-installed and then had trouble with some of the drivers, which needed to be reinstalled in order to work. It's these hiccups that make me like Macs better, but if you're used to Windows machines, this is child's play.

Like the Mac Mini, once everything was installed and working it was hard to consider going back to any other solution. To have everything the Web has to offer—not just videos—from your couch is just too convenient to ignore. This model also features a Blu-Ray DVD player, so when I got bored of what was online, I could pop in a movie.

As with the Mini, price is the issue with this model. At $999, it's not cheap, but Shuttle offers more barebones systems for as little as $700. You'll lose Blu-ray playback, but that may not matter much to you.

Here's what will matter, though, regardless of what system you buy: Unfettered access to as much free and paid video content as you can find. Plus all the standard browsing and other Internet-related activity you can think of. You'd like to think that this sort of functionality would be integrated into a TV or a set-top box or a DVD player or something more consumer-friendly by now, but clearly that's not the case.

The reasons why this hasn't happened aren't technological, but commercial: TV networks, production studios, cable operators, hardware manufacturers—they all have different interests in Web video, and those crossed purposes lead to pretty-good-but-not-quite solutions like Hulu and Apple TV. This will likely sort itself out over the coming years, but in the meantime, it may be that the best way to get video off of your PC and onto your TV is, well...to turn your TV into a glorified monitor for your PC.
You found that most of them offering the fastest gateway to free exciting Internet media Worldwide are mainly for Window-based computers.

Top software packages such as Satellite TV for PC Elite and others like them can't be installed because they are not standalone software. They rely heavily on independent licensed software such as Windows Media Player and RealPlayer, in order for them to work. This is why you can't install a Satellite TV4PC software for Windows and Vista PCs.

However, this is not the end of the World. In fact, you have a tremendous advantage that you probably didn't know about. There is a way for you to install any Windows-based application including Satellite TV4PC software of your choice on your MAC computer. And it will work beyond your imagination. The VMware Fusion 3 offers this window of glory that any MAC user will surely love.

One of the leaders in desktop virtualization is the VMware Fusion 3 that offers the best way to run any Windows application on a MAC computer.

This software will let you launch your Windows applications including any Windows-based Satellite TV4PC software from the Dock, and switch between Windows and MAC applications using Exposé. As the industry’s most exceptional virtualization technology, VMware Fusion can integrate all hardware available on your MAC while running 32- and 64-bit OS simultaneously, two different processors, select 3D games, and utilize USB 2.0 devices.

If you want to run any Windows applications or any Windows PC Satellite TV software, the Vmware 3 quickly lets you switch back and forth easily while sharing data between MAC and Windows. And best of all, you don’t need to reboot your computer. Features include customizable toolbars, easy to mange virtual machine packages, and plenty more.

Here's more of an indepth look...

The VMware Fusion 3 works so well that you can run any Windows applications just like MAC applications. You don’t need to buy a Windows-based computer. Just run both your MAC and Windows OS using your MAC computer. Use the VMware Launch Palette or Spotlight and they will launch your Windows applications. You can switch between any Windows and MAC quickly when using the Exposé feature, while keeping all your favorite application in the Dock. Then bring forward the application that you prefer using the MAC keyboard shortcuts you are most familiar with.

One feature lets you turn back time on your PC - capture and save the exact state of your computer when using the VMware Fusion innovative Snapshot.

Using the VMware Fusion lets you get the most out of your MAC hardware, by taking full advantage of your MAC’s processor maximum flexibility. It allows you to run 64-bit OS such as Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Edition or leverage Virtual SMP for creating and running multi-processor virtual machines. With the cutting-edge 3D technology, you can play select DirectX 8.1 games on your MAC computer also.

In addition, you get the full read/write support for CDs and DVDs as well as complete USB 2.0 support. This also includes video cameras, blue tooth, and other Windows peripheral devices.

VMware Fusion 3 can run multiple operating systems with extreme ease. You can easily use UNIX-base OS like Linux and Solaris along side Windows and MAC OS X, with ease of use and simplicity you have grown to love and expect from your MAC. The copy/paste feature makes this all childsplay when navigating the VMware Fusion 3. Simply drag and drop files from your MAC desktop/laptop to Linux or Solaris.
The first thing to do is contact tech support and describe the problem. It can take 1 to 2 business days before receiving a response back. So in the mean time, you can try some things on your own. But before you continue with the tips and tweaks to resolve a problem, make absolutely sure your computer has met all the Minimum System Requirements:
Windows 95, 98, Me, Nt, 2000, or XP with service pack 2 or higher, or Windows Vista; 1 GHz processor (Intel Pentium II or AMD); 512 MB of RAM; 3 GB of free hard disk space; 16-bit sound card; Video card with 54 MB of RAM (video RAM or VRAM) and DirectX generation; Sound output internal speakers; Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or higher, or Netscape 7.1; Monitor Super VGA (800 x 600) resolution.

Make sure you installed the correct free software for your OS (operating system):

Windows Media Player 11 for XP (SP2) or select version for OS, Windows Media Player Vista, Microsoft .Net Framework. You should read the instructions and download the appropriate WMP, including Microsoft .Net Framework before downloading the Satellite for PC Software.

You should download RealPlayer 11 GOLD for Windows XP (SP2 or later) or Vista or a previous version, and Apple Quicktime Player for Windows XP or Vista. (In order for any Satellite TV4PC software to play audio/video media files, these are the required downloads). You can do this now or wait until you download a Satellite TV4PC software.

Download Adobe Flash Player for your type of operating system and browser. Note: When downloading this free software you will need ActiveX installed on your computer. If not installed on your computer, you will see an info bar at the top of the browser, indicating that you need to install Active X. Just click the info bar, then click Install ActiveX Control. Next, click the Install button, and follow the onscreen instructions to install the player.

It is highly recommended that you also download the Mozilla Firefox Browser.

Update Windows Files.
Are you using a Windows-based operating system? If so, your system should update Windows files automatically and regularly when required. Unless, of course, you have the “Automatic Windows Updates” disabled. Check and start the automatic update process.

Click the “Start” button in the bottom left corner of your screen, then click “All Programs.”

Look for “Windows Update.” You might see at the very top of the menu on the left side. When you find it, click “Windows Update” to open it.

Follow all instructions and proceed with updating your Windows files.

Correct Broadband Connection.
Are you using a broadband connection (DSL or High Speed at 512kbsp or higher) or using a wireless (wifi) connection? Note: When using a 56k modem, most channels will not play. But also understand NOT all channels are available 24/7, there will be some temporary downtime in various time zones. There’s nothing wrong with your TV player. This is common to all players including WMP, Realplayer, and others.

Licensed Internet media owners are responsible for their channels not to work during certain hours. But remember, you have 1000s of other channels to entertain you.

If you are absolutely sure your computer has all of the above requirements, lets continue. If not, please go back and make sure.

I don’t want you to think the merchant’s software is a scam. In cases like these, things happen and what this all boils down to is a software-to-computer compatibility problem. So I’ll simply direct you to various links to help you do some minor tweaking and get your Satellite TV4PC player working on your computer. However the worst case scenario is after doing some tweaking and you still can’t get the merchant’s TV player to work, there are two options left:

Contact the merchant via email and tell what the problem is. It should take no more than 2 business days at the most.

Exercise the money back guarantee offered by the merchant or their 3rd party e-commerce payment/refund processor. This can be Clickbank or the merchant himself. You will get your money back but be sure you contact the right company when requesting a refund. You should have received a email receipt/invoice with information such tech support, refund, etc.

Understand that every computer is different. And it doesn’t matter whether you have old or new computer, or a 98 Windows or Vista OS. You could have other software previously installed sometime ago by you, the manufacturer or someone else when you purchased your computer.

So lets start with your firewall.
Firewall (Anti-virus software) Permission To Accept Satellite TV4PC Player.
Do you have a firewall (anti-virus software) installed on your computer such as Norton, McAfee, or something else? If your TV player doesn't work at all, then it's quite possible your computer's firewall is blocking it.

If you are absolutely sure you don’t have a firewall (anti-virus) software installed, then skip this section and go to the next.

If you are not sure, continue with this reading anyhow.

To give your firewall permission and allow your TV player to work, you need to check and set some perimeters in your firewall. Click Firewalling - Firewall Guides. After following all the instructions to correct the problem, close your PC Satellite TV player if you haven’t already. Then open it again and try to play a channel.

If your firewall perimeters were already set correctly and you didn’t have to make any changes, then continue below…

Do your PC Satellite TV player try to load and buffer but won’t play any TV channels? Or it simply doesn’t work--won’t load, buffer, or play any channels?
Check And Set WMP, RealPlayer, And Quicktime Player Connection Speeds.

RealPlayer

Open RealPlayer

Click “Tools” then “Preferences”

In the left part of the window, you should “Category.” Click “Connection” and you can do one of two things here:

Set your correct connection speed yourself, if you are sure. Or...

Click the “Test Connection” button at top and it will automatically check your system and set the current connection speed. Keep note of the number of kbps because the other free TV have the same.

In the “Network Time-out” area, you will see “Connection.” Make sure it’s set to “30” seconds and the “Server” 90 seconds. Now click the “Apply” button then Click “OK” to close RealPlayer.

Quicktime Player

Open Quicktime Player

Click “Edit” tab then “Preferences”

Click “Quicktime Preferences”

Click the “streaming” tab and set your “Streaming Speed” to your correct connection speed, and that’s it… do nothing else.

Now click the “Apply” button, then click “OK” to close the Quicktime Player.

WMP (Windows Media Player)

Open WMP and right click the dark area at the very top of the WMP TV player

In the pop-up window, click “Tools” then “Options”

Click the Performance” tab, and do the following:

If you know your connection speed, then make sure “Choose Connection Speed” is checked. Below it is a dropdown window. Now select the correct correction speed you are currently using. If you don’t know for sure, simply click the “Detect Connection Speed (recommended).

Next is the “Network Buffering.” Make sure the “Buffer” is selected and “30” is entered for seconds of content.

The “Video Accelerator slider should be set to “Full.” Click the “Apply” button then click “Ok” to close.

Now open your PC Satellite TV player and try to play different channels. We are looking for channels to load, buffer and play. If different channels still just load and buffer without playing, then close the player. If channels now load and buffer without playing but didn’t load and buffer before, you are getting closer to resolving the issue.

As you can see so far, when performing minor tweaks, only do small changes at a time. Close all TV players after each change or tweak, then re-open your PC Sat TV player. Never perform many chances all at once. You want to isolate one particular tweak to see if it corrects the issue. That way you’ll know exactly where the problem lies.

WMP (Windows Media Player) - No Video
When WMP is set as the default player, it becomes very important when playing video media files on your PC Satellite TV player. If you are currently experiencing No Video but Audio Works Ok or No Video or Audio then some tweaking may be required.

Follow the instructions above to open WMP to get the “Options” window.

Click the “File Types” tab and make sure the first 3 boxes are checked for asf, wma, and wmv.

Click “Apply” then “Ok”.

Click “Network” tab and make sure every box is checked. Now click “Apply” then “Ok” to close.

Next, open your PC Sat TV player and try to play channels. If it doesn’t work at all or partially, then ok course it’s a software-to-computer compatibility problem and you need to inform the merchant.

Below are some links you may read and try some other things that might help you:
There are a few things you should keep in mind and do to safeguard your computer. It would be wise to download the free required software to see how they work with your computer, before actually buying the merchant’s product. There are several free software that PC merchants will throw in their packages (at no charge to you) in order for a Satellite TV to PC software to work.

In fact, prior to or while downloading the merchant’s software package, you will be asked or prompted to download certain free software. So why not do it now to see if downloading them goes smoothly and works on your computer. But before we do that, lets start with six tips to help make this process safer and smoother.

IMPORTANT! Not all of the tips here will apply to MAC and Linux OS (operating systems)

The Free McAfee SiteAdvisor is a very useful plug-in for Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. What it does is tests, analyzes and rates websites to give you detailed information and alerts to safeguard your computer from spyware, spam, viruses, etc. This protects you from dangerous downloads, misuse of personal data, browser hijacking and more. You can browse with more peace of mind with security on your side. System requirements: Windows or Vista; Internet Explorer 6 or higher; Firefox 1.5 and above. To Download The Free McAfee SiteAdvisor - Click Here!

If you don’t have the Free Firefox browser, download it and start using it. This is a cutting-edge browser and is actually better than the IE (Internet Explorer) browser. Go to the Mozilla site to learn more and download the Free Firefox Browser now. If you want to know the differences between both browsers, go to Firefox vs. IE (it’s the same site).

Your computer should already be protected with an Anti-Virus Software Installed. This helps to protect your computer from unwanted viruses and is the smartest thing you can do to avoid problems. Don’t download anything from the Internet without it or your computer could suffer the consequences later.

Another security measure you should consider seriously is safeguarding your computer from Spyware/Adware. These malicious creatures can cause many problems after downloading stuff from the internet. So you will want to protect your computer from them, even though these Satellite TV4PC merchants says their software are safe spyware/adware-free. This doesn’t mean that everything else you download from the internet will be spyware/adware-free. These products also offer free scans but again once a problem is detected, you must pay to fix it.

Prior to downloading any Satellite TV4PC software including the ones found on my Satellite TV4PC Software Review website, there are other required free software to download. You may not already know this but these products are not standalone software. They rely on other software in order for them to work. Part of this has to do with different types of special codecs that a Satellite TV4PC - TV players must use to play for instance movies, other videos, and audio.

Below is a list of free software that all of these merchant will asked you to download or you will be prompted during the downloading process. It’s best to download them now to see if the downloading goes well and the TV player software actually works. IMPORTANT! The one crucial area here is making sure that you follow all system requirements. You must know your OS (operating system) and download a software that’s compatible to your OS. Otherwise, the merchant’s Satellite TV4PC player will not work, once downloaded.

List of Free Software downloads required:

For XP (SP2) and other Windows versions including Vista

Microsoft .Net Frameswork - Read all instructions, look for system requirements and download the latest version or correct software based on your OS.

WMP (Windows Media Player) - Follow all instructions, system requirements and download the latest and correct version according to your OS.

Realplayer - Read all instructions, system requirements and download the latest version or correct version according to your OS.

Windows XP and Vista Only

Apple QuickTime - Read all instructions entirely including system requirements and download the latest version or correct version, according to your operating system.

Adobe Flash Player - Be sure to read all instructions, follow system requirements, and download the latest version or correct version according to your OS.

Other Free Player Download

DivX - Read all instructions entirely including system requirements and download the latest version or correct version, according to your operating system.

For MAC and Linux OS users, many of these free software products are not required. However, it’s important to know which Satellite TV4PC software package is compatible to your computer’s OS. Not all of them will be compatible. As for MAC and Linux users, the best thing to do is follow the merchants downloading process for all that’s requirement.

Remember, an Internet Broadband, WiFi, or Broadband Card/USB connections is required. Forget Dial-Up! even though a merchant says it will work.

Pixelfusion is a new technology that enhances digital video, and has taken over 5 years to develop to its current standard. From the start, it was designed so that it could be implemented in software and run in realtime on a home PC, but we also made sure that quality was a high priority.

We noticed that most downloaded or streamed video tend to look 'blurry' due to a reduction in the resolution of the video in order to reduce download time. When viewed, it is usually stretched, or resampled, to a higher resolution. This process is what causes the video to become blurry. Video could be viewed at the original resolution, but it tends to be very small, making it difficult to watch.

The key is in the algorithm which enlarges the video to a reasonable viewing size. Usually, a standard bilinear or bicubic algorithm is performed, which work by interpolating the existing pixels in an image to create more pixels. Because they only perform a simple mathematical interpolation which reproduces smooth transitions from one pixel to another, they will always cause an image to appear more blurry.

Pixelfusion is different, in that it attempts to more accurately predict the pixels that existed in the original high resolution source, to create a much crisper and perceptually clearer image.
2. Once you have found the appropriate software, you will have to purchase it.
3. Download the software to your computer, satellite TV on PC software also known as PC satellite TV software is compatible on both windows and mac operating systems.
4. Install the software on your hard drive.
5. Execute the software.

TIPS:
Make sure your computer can support the PC satellite TV software.

The requirements are really not that high, so if you have a decent computer that's a Pentium 3 or newer you should have no problems.

Satellite TV Player series recommended.

There are many scam artists out there trying to sell faulty satellite TV on PC or PC satellite TV software programs. They are really just out to take your money and not provide you with solid software.

Many online offers advertise special software for one low price of $39.95 US Dollars (USD) to $99.95, by which one can purportedly watch 3,000 – 4,000 channels, eliminating the need for monthly broadcast bills. The claim is that with Satellite TV to PC software, one only need install it, then watch TV on the PC, or stream it to a television, free. Unfortunately, the advertisements and claims are highly misleading, though like all successful scams, this one has an iota of truth.

There are basically two types of broadcast television: free to air and pay-for. Free to air broadcasts are normally limited to local broadcasts that anyone can pick up freely with a roof antenna. Prior to cable TV and satellite dishes, all television was free to air, everyone had roof antennas and no one paid for broadcasts. While this sounds great, there were also very few channels available. Cable brought consumers non-local networks creating a fatter channel lineup, better picture quality, and monthly bills, or pay-for TV.

With the advent of the Internet, many networks decided to make some of their free to air broadcasts available over the Internet as taped or live feeds. Most networks post tidbits of their daily live broadcasts as pre-recorded streaming videos; few if any networks stream entire 24/7 broadcasts live. The Public Broadcasting Station (PBS) makes many current and past documentaries available online, as another example of free TV content available.

Next we have pay-for stations like ESPN, Court TV and E! that might stream certain events live to the Internet, or make certain taped content available. However, pay-for networks do not stream their 24/7 broadcasts to the Internet. Streaming content is limited, and live streaming content is even more limited.

Finally we have premium channels like Home Box Office (HBO) and Showtime, which do not make their content available online except through certain promotions conducted from their own websites. For example, trailers for original series’ are typically available, and an opening season episode might be posted as a tool to encourage new subscribers, as in Fall 2007 when Showtime's website posted the second season premiere of Dexter.

So what does all this have to do with Satellite TV for PC? This software only provides links to websites that host TV content. Satellite TV for PC is not offering satellite or “live broadcast” TV like your cable or dish service, but online TV already available to anyone. Satellite TV for PC only loads a “remote control” interface that sits to the side of your screen. Clicking on a channel simply takes one to the network’s website. Satellite TV for PC software cannot replace free-to-air broadcast TV, much less cable or premium channels.

If this scam has a silver lining, it might be that the reaction to the Satellite TV for PC hustle has inadvertently shined a light on free websites that host links to television networks all over the world. Websites like WorldTVPC, InternetTV or WwiTV, link to online TV hosted internationally. Watch a daily newscast from Iraq, Italy, Croatia, or Egypt. Cruise the online TV universe all you want and hang on to that 50 bucks; it doesn’t cost a dime. Besides, you'll need it to pay your cable or dish bill.

This site is offered at the best price and quality that I have seen. With over 3000 channels at a one time only fee of $49.95, is the cheapest for the best quality that I have yet to see for PC satellite TV.

Many PC satellite TV offers are not of the same quality as this one. I have been using it for several months. Had paid the original cost of $169.00 and still thought that was a great deal for getting PC Satellite TV.

Among the 3000 channels they offer from around the world, you can get sports from many different countries including the united sates and Europe. I found that once you install the software on your pc, it is very easy to use. You can easily browse through hundreds of channels from around the world. These channels include sports, new, movies, music, weather, kids channels, educational and more.

They give you so much to choose from sometimes it is hard to make a choice. When you get PC satellite TV on your computer you can do almost anything you want when it comes to PC satellite TV for entertainment and information.

The software package comes with an automatic membership to receive all the stations. PC satellite TV allows you to capture your channels from any location in the world. This makes it great when you download it to your laptop. As long as you have Internet access you can plug in and watch.

When it comes to PC satellite TV this one truly stands out from the rest. They offer a money back guarantee if your not satisfied. I rate this offer a perfect ten for PC satellite TV.

Once you purchase the product, or have the knowledge of Satellite TV. You realize and know that for the 1 1/2 decade of Internet usage, there have always been Websites that offer FULL "FREE" Internet Video/Audio streaming broadcast. At Google.com or Yahoo.com you can see this always in action, both Video/Audio streaming "DOWNLOADING LIVE" Video/Audio channels, DO NOT fall in for the sort of "SCAM". You can simply use Google.com or Yahoo.com to search for your desired station Websites for "LIVE FREE" Video/Audio channels.

Remember sort of "SCAM". Why? This is because if you are sort of LAZY to find the CHANNELS that are approximately 3000 channels in the list of Broadcasters on Internet Sites, Website TV or Satellite Website searches for channels, then maybe you are willing to pay their $60.00 or even $80.00 Satellite Internet one time payment for their Software. Do all of you understand now, that you can, if you want, go to the various "Websites" that offer their "FREE" live Video/Audio streaming broadcasts for "FREE" as long as you pay for your Broadband Internet Connection. So, Laziness is what makes people pay the 1 time FEE for this service Software, Marketed as "FREE Satellite T.V. Channels"!! But remember these Software packages do the work for you, to get, the Websites to broadcast. Sure , you can do it yourself, but for that, you need to use a good Google.com Search Engine and know the name of the broadcast Website's name, so the Software does do this "automatically for you"!! It all depends on which angle you look at it. The Software, is it worth it on Media Player Windows or Real Player show, and let the Software, do what you can also do without the Software, if you know, which Websites, offer this Video/Audio streaming events. Remember, also if your Internet Connection is too slow, you can sometimes have the option of "DOWNLOADING & PLAYER file PLAYER for the Video/Audio file". Then play the Video/Audio file back from your "Hard-drive and play the Video/Audio file" with its respective extension file "PLAYER", Windows Media Player for example, or .FLV extension PLAYER and respective Players "DOWNLOADED" from Google.com Search Engine if you know the exact name of the Player extension you are searching for! It is all a matter of preference and "relative affair", when it comes to automatically search Software done by FREE Satellite Direct T.V. Software or manually by searching on www.Google.com or www.Yahoo.com to find the Video/Audio Websites that offer Video/Audio playback on Windows Media Player or Real Player, the file extension usually being MPEG or MPEG-2 entension , the same as DVD Video/Audio MPEG.ext file formats. I may be wrong here, but Blu-Ray or HD 1080interlace & progressive file extensions are MPEG-4 or AVCHD extension like on my Blu-Ray 1080 Progressive PANASONIC HD Video Camera.

So, keep on practicing this knowledge for now, happy Satellite Internet viewing and HD LIVE broadcast Video/Audio is also possible over the Internet Websites that offer these "DOWNLOAD" features. Stay tuned for future and present Websites offering various Video/Audio HD content!!

This is a question of choice but not on equal grounds since each have its strengths and weaknesses. According to a national wide survey, an average American probably spends more than 16% of his time in an entire year watching TV. This translates to about two months in a year which is more than half the time we spend on sleeping. Another staggering fact is more than two-thirds of American homes own more than three TV sets. TV is part of American culture. Discover what the differences are to help you decide whether to watch satellite TV on PC, TV or cable TV.

What are some of the differences? Should you watch satellite TV on PC, TV or cable TV?

1. Locality and Accessibility

Cable TV tends to be well-received in built-up areas since it is not affected by terrains and weather. However, in places where cable technology has not reached, such as rural areas or some suburban districts, satellite TV is their choice. In fact, you can set up a satellite dish system to watch satellite TV on your TV from any part of the world so it has a worldwide appeal. Where you can have internet access, you can watch satellite TV on PC readily.

2. TV Reception

You should not have any problem to watch satellite TV channels with clarity as long as your satellite dish system is set up for clear line of sight with the satellites. High rise buildings are ideal places for such systems as the satellite has full view of the skies. Needless to say, cable TV is able to receive and display TV channel feeds with a certain degree of clarity. However, since the reception of satellite dish system depends on external conditions such as weather, it may be less reliable during different seasons of the year. Fortunately, you can overcome this if you watch satellite TV on PC. Watching PC satellite TV is not constrained by weather or nature elements since they receive their feeds via internet connections which is a highly reliable media portal.

3. Variety of TV Programs

Satellite TV is a clear winner in this. Since it is made to receive free-to-air broadcasts, you can practically watch any channel as long as your satellite dish system can cover it. Nowadays, you can even watch satellite TV on PC if you prefer not to touch a satellite dish. Even though cable TV has been working hard to secure more channels for their subscribers, it is still pretty self-limiting in the number of TV channels it can offer. With satellite TV, you get to watch worldwide TV channels from any country and in any language.

4. TV System Installation

When you watch satellite TV, there are in fact three options. Either you build your own satellite dish system to receive free-to-air broadcasts or you can take advantage of free equipment installation provided when you subscribe for monthly satellite TV program packages with the service providers. The third option which is a new one is to watch satellite TV on PC using software application and internet connection. This is simply the easiest way to watch satellite TV.

5. Pricing

Satellite TV has an unfair advantage over cable TV in this aspect. Cable TV providers have to pay heavier levies charged by the state governments since the infrastructural makeup is more complicated and intensive than satellite TV providers which are light in infrastructure. Capital costs for cable TV companies are higher and with the advent of digital TV becoming the next big thing, it is a matter of time when they have to upgrade those million miles of ground-embedded obsolete cables. This is why satellite TV providers are able to charge less for more. In fact, if you watch satellite TV on PC, you can do away with monthly subscriptions and expensive Do-It-Yourself (DIY) style dish systems since you only pay once for the PC satellite TV software.

The software is created to access different satellite signals from 3rd party participants. Its completely legal , as long as the software creator has permission from the original satellite companies. Thats how come there is a small fee for access, but that is also why the best PC TV software has the best selection of programming.

Choosing The Right Program
Many companies offer everything from 6,000 channels to free pay-per-view movies. Now, thats usually not possible, legally, but PC Satellite TV is a pretty competitive market. So even if a company can provide 6,000 channels, there usually just duplicates,or just alot of subpar programming that wastes space. Here are some good things to look for if you are interested in watching tv on your pc.

Solid Background
A legit company will have a longer history of providing pc tv services. If a company has been around for 3-5 years, you can feel safe that they will deliver a quality product. They will provide you with honest details and information regarding their software. Usually you can tell that a software company is relatively new just by the way the site looks or the lack of proper information on the site. Try to avoid sites that offer unbelievable promises as well.

Money Back Guarantee
Never buy a PC Satellite TV software from a site that does not offer a money back guarantee, Preferably a standard 60 day guarantee. That will provide you with ample time to decide if the software is what you are looking for. A good company will offer guarantees if they feel they are offering quality programming options.

Awards and Sponsors
The best sites will be backed by top software sites and companies. You will see "tags", or badges , that display names of some highly recommended companies, like "AOL", "Tucow", "and "Cnet". They will never back a site that could ruin there reputation, by offering and selling bad products. Those are the best signs that you are in the right place.

High Quality Interface and Media Player
Sometimes, the one thing that can separate 2 very good software sites, is the type of Media player and interface, that the software provided. Top pc satellite tv companies offer media players that provide you with categorical based search listings. That means that you can search for programming by unique categories. Many pc tv softwares leave it up to the user to perform endless searches through 1,000's of randomly listed channels. If you have ever tried to find a file , amongst 1,000's of other files, you know how difficult it can be to have any success.

The best way to watch tv on your pc is to use software that provides you with the easiest formatting available. With so many channels, it can be overwhelming if you are left with substandard software. I know it might seem like alot, but once you see a site that follows these criteria, you will know why its important to stick to these guidelines. You will find out why so many have made watching tv on the pc , one of the most downloaded software programs on the internet.

Satellite TV4PC Software Review

So I did some research and found the best way to watch American Idol Online Live, you will not need any kind of a link up to your computer to a cable box, satellite dishes or antenna. All your going to need is two simple things, first of which is an connection to the interent which I am assuming you already have. The next thing is having the proper software that will allow you to view ALL LOCAL Channels right from your PC.

The software I found through my research on the internet was only one of many. The big differences are that this one is not loaded with spyware and there is not any more additional fees, just the one time start up fee and you will be ready to go and watch American Idol Online Live or any show for that matter. You will have over 3000 channels of Live Satellite TV. You will spend hours trying them all out I know did! The software also comes with movie channels like HBO, Cinemax, ESPN, CNN, and NBC sports, music and much more. I tell you as good as PC's are today its like watching it on my TV!

I have been using this program for about a year and I have no regrets! I have been watching all my favorite programs now from anywhere since I have a mobile broadband for my laptop. I even watched the Academy Awards, so now I dont have to worry about missing any programs or sports events, I can be assured I can watch American Idol online live and I will not miss the finale!

I am writing this short article so that people like your self see that watching TV online can be cheap and easy to attain. If you are like me and love to be in the great outdoors or just like to relax at the beach, but don't like planning your outings to coincide with your favorite shows then now you won't have to either.

Satellite TV4PC Software Review

It was first invented by Logie Baird in the 1920s and if he could rise today I wonder whether he will recognize the product that he invented. The first televisions were characterized by grainy, static black and white images but has since grown to color television and to high resolution mega screens which to some extent resembles the first invention.

Television reception has also improved significantly as people today could receive pictures more clearly than before. In the past signals were limited and required more time and resources to set up but these days where technology has improve considerably you are able to watch almost everything from anywhere in the world. This technology has been necessitated by the presence of satellite television which is available at a monthly fee. To add on that there is free satellite television.

With the on-going economic hardships, it is definitely difficult to keep up with the monthly satellite television subscription fees. You can take advantage of the various satellite television providers giving free satellite and grab a system for yourself. These are companies such as DirecTV and Dish network, which are giving irresistible offers. All you need to buy is the package, including the satellite dish which enables reception. The company will provide free installation and you will only need to pay the minimum charged fee every month for all the programs.

However, it does not come for free as you might be thinking because there are some charges that you will be charged for example for the equipments needed like the dish to receive satellite signals. You have to buy these equipments and they will offer free installation, and you have to pay a reduced minimum charge every month.

Not all users of satellite television are legal users as there are those people who steal and direct signals to people who have not paid for it. These fake 'signal brokers' are a real pain in the neck but since the satellite providers know about this, they deal with the problem by always trying to distort the systems of these illegal users and when you are one of the users, your system may also get distorted during the process. As a result, you have to constantly reload your coding card every time it is distorted.

You may consider the internet as a way of getting digital quality satellite content especially if you have a PC connected to the internet and the right software installed. You can watch satellite television content from it but it is not completely free again since the software necessary to download the content must be bought or acquired. You only need to be careful here as getting a good deal is difficult with so many deceitful people out there.

Satellite TV4PC Software Review

What they should do is look further into how a software package works for them personally, rather than for everybody.

There are 100s of software packages on the Internet today. Out of the good, the bad, and the ugly--the key is identifying the good then go from there. While no software will ever replace regular home TV or Satellite and Cable TV, it's fair to say that Satellite TV for PC software can provide the next best thing to getting Cable and Satellite TV on your desktop or laptop computer.

To choose the right software, one must first find the good ones. Then know what your primary need is. To do that you must identify what do you like the most. For instance, if you are a sports enthusiast, live TV enthusiast, movie enthusiast, etc., there are good Satellite for PC software packages out there that provide more of that including other entertainment.
