I am not familiar with Revolution but Advantage Mutli is great and it covers heart worms as well. Highly recommend it. My dog had mange as a puppy to which he has outgrown it. As long as you use mild shampoos, your puppy should be good. I know there is an oatmeal and aloe one that is really good. Add: wrote a lot and deleted it on accident when trying to add. So here is a summary. Lime-sulfur dips WILL kill Sarcoptes mites. These dips are usually soothing for a dog’s skin and are an effective alternative to ivermectin. Your dog will probably require multiple dips. Don’t let the dog ingest the solution and wear gloves while applying. Ivermectin still remains the most effective tx, but many pets have good luck with dips. Good luck. Also, I am not familiar with ivermectin affecting the immune system, but it is not recommened in certain breeds – collies, shepherds, sheepdogs.
