Nuns in my dreams!

I had the most odd dream last night... There was a square stone tower, a nun and some running....

“I remember you.” She said, robes fluttering in the breeze and wimple pulling at the sides of her face. “You were very young and you lied when you were here last.”
“I didn’t ...

Lily heals…

Well, it's not really Lily but someone who inspired part of that character. I've not been well for a while, a few days now and it all started with a late period.....

The period was very late and this is apparently normal for someone on the verge of menopause, possibly actually ...

Ouchy

I've done something to my lower back and it HURTS! I'm taking painkillers and taking things very easy and hoping it'll go away soon. I suspect putting potatoes away after shopping did it and I think I've either twisted it or pulled a muscle.

I need Lily and her healing magic.....

Inspired by….

I love that phrase, someone has read my books and been inspired by them.. Fabulous!

I've set up a page for things that have been Inspired by my Portal series and there's more to come, and I think I'm going to need a couple of pages soon....

Kristina, of Flutterby Creations, has ...

You know you’re famous when…

Someone you've never met names something after you! I've never met the owner of Flutterby Creations but we have sort of virtually met, if you get my drift. She's just designed a yarn/wool and named it after me! How fabulous is that?

You can see, and buy it, here: Sarah Barnard ...

A competition…

No, not on here but a friend of mine is running one and I thought I'd share...

First some background to explain why I love this. I learned to knit last Autumn and although still very much a novice I am enjoying it. Through the Portal books you meet women who ...

All fixed…

Phew.
That was a job and a half but it's done now and I've upgraded to a new version of wordpress at the same time. All widgets, ads and whatnots back in place, the majority of posts restored. I had to prune the restoration file quite severely so some posts were ...

Argh. Please bear with me

I seem to have broken the old blog, seriously broken, irreparably broken and I've had to reinstall the blog software and the file with the old posts in is too big for the thing to handle and I need food before I do anything else with it.......

Will be back soonish....

Sound track….

I want Annie Lennox to write and perform the theme song, something to play over the end credits. I love, love, love her voice. Now, is she enough to do the WHOLE score? Or do I want some other voices/musicians on there?

I think variety would make a better sound track ...

Casting - Sam

I'm back writing the third Portal book and you know when you read a book you get a definite image in your head of what each character looks like? Well, it's the same when writing, probably more so.

I've had Gillian Anderson in my head as Lily since part way through ...
