Editoriales barcelonesas, a la primera se le reconoce los éxitos de Harry Potter y 'El niño del pijama de rayas'; a la segunda se le reconoce su trabajo con el libro ilustrado

Las editoriales barcelonesas Salamandra y Libros del Zorro Rojo han obtenido el Premio Nacional a la Mejor Labor Editorial, otorgado por el Ministerio de Cultura y sin dotación económica. Fundada en 2000 por la alemana Sigrid Kraus y el argentino Pedro del Carril, Salamandra ha conseguido conciliar en diez años la calidad literaria y el éxito de ventas. Y, sobre todo, ha conseguido que el catálogo de la editorial sobreviva a su propio éxito, encarnado en dos hitos: la serie de Harry Potter y El niño con el pijama de rayas. La apuesta por autores como Andrea Camilleri, Sandor Marái, Irène Némirovsky, Zadie Smith o Jonathan Franzen -cuya novela Libertad es la gran apuesta de Salamandra para este otoño- demuestra un olfato y una constancia poco habituales a la hora de publicar todos los libros de un autor.

Por su parte, el galardón para el sello Libros del Zorro Rojo es también el reconocimiento a un género que vive en España su particular esplendor: el libro ilustrado. Desde su fundación en 2004, el sello barcelonés ha puesto imagen a textos -para niños y adultos- de clásicos históricos y contemporáneos como Franz Kafka, Edgar A. Poe, Oscar Wilde, Alejandra Pizarnik, Juan Gelman o Ricardo Piglia.

El jurado designado por el Ministerio de Cultura ha estado formado, entre otros, por Lourdes Ortiz, Rosalina Díaz, Carlos Sanz, Milagros Teresa Hernández y Tomás Rodríguez. Este último representaba a la editorial Akal, que el año pasado obtuvo el premio ex aequo con Alba.

Amigos y hermanos del norte:

Quiero ponerlos al corriente de un viaje inminente. Durante el mes de Noviembre de este año estaré en México en varios encuentros y eventos culturales. Agradezco la generosa invitación de CONACULTA .
A saber:

El día 2 inauguraré personalmente una exposición de 20 obras mías en Guanajuato. Es una muestra en relación con el Día de Muertos. Estará abierta desde el día 1 de Noviembre hasta el 1 de Diciembre en el Museo Dieguino.
También daré un taller sobre lenguaje visual, allí en Guanajuato.
Desde el día 9 al 11 estaré brindando un taller de ilustración en la Universidad de Mexico en DF.
Desde el día 14 al 17 daré el mismo taller en el marco de FILIJ
Desde el 20 al 24, el mismo taller en la Universidad de las Artes en Oaxaca.
Luego asistiré a FILUSTRA en Guadalajara.

En fin, ya precisaré más datos en estos días. Agreguen su mail al feed del blog para estar al corriente de cualquier novedad. Los talleres estan restringidos a un máximo de 15 personas cada uno. Así que no se duerman. Avisaré por Facebook tambien.

I received your pack. It came yesterday to my mother´s house and I picked it a few minutes ago.
I opened it. Well, see, Mr Mignola: My jaw is on the floor and my heart is beating crazy since then, and the pressure is killing me.

I am still watching this:

Was not enough to you to send an original from "The Corpse", one of my favourite tales of Hellboy ?! No, nonononnon no, you also sent me this wonderfull cover artwork, so strange, so particular in your style.
While I am laying on the floor, bleeding, you kicked me there with those gentle and beautiful dedication to my person.

Now, without irony. You have All the admirables aspects of the great artists: talent, deep ideas, a particular beauty and the hardest: generosity. You are a good person, and the world needs people like you.
