It is such an honour to be invited back into a clients home to capture the newest addition to their family.
I photographed this little baby girl’s big sister when she was a newborn too, and I was so excited when her mama contacted me to let me know another baby was joining them soon. I am extremely close to my own sister, so I know what a gift it can be to have a sibling close in age that you can grow up with. It was lovely to spend some time with this beautiful family again.

Spring is in the air [Sydney family photography]

In early spring I had the pleasure of spending a morning with this beautiful family who happen to be dear friends of mine.

These two little boys have the sweetest little melt your heart faces and were just so fantastic to photograph.

I loved it when they started climbing the trees. They were having so much fun and the images we captured look almost otherworldly. There are amazing little pockets of beauty everywhere.

At the height of spring there are so many flowers to choose from, but there is almost nothing sweeter than a mixed posy of market day blooms.

I am going to really enjoy having this sitting in my kitchen for the week.

One is such a sweet age. Part baby, part child, 100% cute! This little sweet pea was just so good for me, she just sat there and smiled while I clicked away. I could have photographed her all day.

Finally…spring is here. I do love the changing seasons, but the cold and the grey of winter makes it seem extra long. When it is sunny and warm everything just seems better.

This month’s subject is the beautiful but often overlooked carnation.

I really wanted to photograph some blossom for August. It really signifies the transition of the seasons to me and the beginning of a new cycle. So it was an outdoor shot this time around, which is a little different from what I usually do for my still life subjects. I just couldn’t believe my luck when a little bee decided to make an appearance. Here’s to new beginnings x

Still life project [June + July]

Here are my images for June and July. The ever gorgeous Camellia, with its folds of pink perfection. I plucked this one straight from our garden (thank you previous owner, green thumb person). And the cheery Jonquils that signal that spring is not to far away. And that is particularly apt for today in Sydney, with an unseasonably warm breeze and bright winter sun hinting that spring will be here before we know it. I can’t wait!
