Fall into Fun: Autumn Activities

Fall is officially here, and that means the weather is changing, and so can your mood. If the heat of summer got to you, and the crunch of the economy has got you flustered, then it is more important now than ever to enjoy your life. To keep a balanced mood, it is important to vary the activities in your life to include both work AND fun. Fall is just the time to do some outside exploring, as it isn’t too cold, nor is it too hot (at least in some parts of the country!). I put together some resources of things you can do before it gets too cold and the hustle and bustle of the winter holidays is upon us.

Lisa’s List of 50 Feel Good Things

I recently came across a website called “1000 Awesome Things,” filled with things the author, and others, have found to be “awesome.” These include things like “When little babies let out adult-sized burps” or “Sleeping with one leg under the covers and one leg out.” The site was so inspirational, I thought I’d share my own list of 50 things that put me in a good mood. Some of them are things you can do to put yourself in a good mood, and others are things that just happen on their own, but all are sure to make you smile. One of the benefits of Nature Made SAM-e Complete is maintaining a good mood naturally, but it also helps to know what that good mood really feels like. Hopefully you can help by contributing to my list.

Start a Good Habit

It’s time to get yourself back on track. Maybe you’ve been slipping a little bit here and there, dipping into your vices and letting it affect you. Unfortunately, slipping off of a positive path to a healthy lifestyle and good mood is an easy thing to do. Maybe you never fell off the wagon, though, and now it is time to reinforce that path you’ve chosen for yourself. One of the ways you can do this is by picking up a habit, a good habit, that is. If you’re used to having mood swings and fluctuating between feelings, then it is high time to look toward happiness. And to be your happiest, all you have to do is get into the groove of feeling happy. One of the best natural mood enhancers you can have is to develop a good habit. Here’s a list of bad habits and better ones you can replace them with, along with some tips on how to make them work for you.

There are some beloved children’s books and shows that have withstood the test of time with their unique stories and strange (but loveable) ways. I’ve written before about how to discover your inner child, and one of the best ways to do that and find your good mood in the process is by getting in touch with how you felt when you first encountered these characters. Here are some of the most interesting and inspirational characters from children’s stories and beyond.
