My person tries very hard (some would say obsessively) to keep bad stuff away from me and me from it.

We have non-toxic cleaning products and if anyone eats chocolate she’s thrusting a plate into their hand.

So when we saw this infographic about common household items that can be poisonous to cats and dogs we knew how important it was to share it.

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of posts by doggehs writing about snow on their blogs.

I love snow. We get lots of it where I live in Canada.

We also get crazy cold temperatures.

For example, I haven’t been for a walk since Sunday (today is Friday).

Tonight we braved the cold and my person took me for a speed walk.

In the past week I’ve been outside in the garden a couple of times but usually for less than a minute and I fall over or try to stand on one paw because where I live it’s often as cold as the North Pole.

Crazy times!

My person can’t believe that people settled here. Ever.

Right now the temperature is -21.5°C with a wind chill of -31°C. In the North Pole it’s -28 °C.

This weather typically lasts from January to March but we have snow for about six months of the year.

All of this means that sometimes I don’t get walkies so I snuggle in a blanket and sleep instead – like I am right now. And bug my persons (sometimes in the middle of the night).

Some people think it’s a bit odd when they hear I have a blog and my own accounts on Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube and Pinterest.

They think a dog shouldn’t be allowed on the interwebs. They think the interwebs are only for persons.

How wrong they are!

You see, people, I am not alone.

There are thousands just like me and we’re taking over the interwebs.

In fact, during the past few months I’ve inspired two Shih Tzu friends to get their own blogs (handsome Remi Shih Tzu and my doppelganger Gracie Lu Shih Tzu).

Here I am sitting on the dining room table. Which is very naughty. But I think it’s worth it for this shot. And spot my special black chin whisker on your right.

Meet my new friend Pixel.

Pixel is a white and chocolate coloured Mini Schnauzer.

She has a super funny bloggeh called Pixel Blue Eyes.

And you’ll notice (when you go to her bloggeh) that she smiles all the time. AND can do amazing tricks and sing.
