Well..Look what AEC Daily have done here! SketchUp Courses [5 off] online with a Certificate apon completion..all for free.

I know that this is something that has been asked for many times by SU users. You can download a Podcast or the Learning Tutorials, (approx 200MB +) watch, and then answer the 20 or so questions. At the end you will recieve a certificate with your result. Ofcourse,.. if you think your clever (like me) you'll skip watching the video until after youve done the multi-choice questions and get your certificate/s straight away. (Not recommended for 1st time users of sketchup).

Free to download from AutoDesk, it works much the same as Layout does from Google SketchUp. At this point has the advantage of being free and user freindly. Application exports to jep, pdf and dwg. I downloaded Project Cooper (requires 1GB) and gave it a quick whirl. Seems like its easy to use but does have a way to go before Id consider it better than Layout. Although very good for Free.

Tips when selecting a rendering application for sketchup.

The video showcases many important features that users should think
about before buying any rendering software for use in Google SketchUp. The video is simply meant to get people, both beginners and professionals, to think about the capabilities of different renderers before making any purchase.

The video points out different parts of a model made using sketchUp that any good rendering software should be able to render. The video also includes a link so that a user can download the same model from the video and test it out on a renderer of their choice. If their renderer does not render the model correctly, then maybe they should try another piece rendering software.

Of course you should consider the import and exporting features and its compatibilty with either Mac and/or PC versions

Well..I was going to say only in America, but this one has be built in the UK by a lego fanatic using 815 million lego pieces, and I imagine a few crazy friends and family members to help.
