Brand New Google Image Search Live!

Have you seen Google images today? It appears last night Google launched a new image search. With this brand new look when searching images, it&#8217;s much easier to find what you&#8217;re looking for online. Not only is it fast and clean, but you can see up to 7 pages on standard settings at one time. It&#8217;s a quick overview of inspiration. This is something search marketers, designers and others can use. &#160; &#160; I thought it would be cool to do a quick Google image search on &#8220;SEO&#8221; to see companies ranking up at the top with their images. There&#8217;s quite a lot you can see from one glance. It really makes things easier on image searching and I would like to applaud Google for a well performed and thought out job. &#160; &#160; These images I provided were from the search &#8220;Roman logos&#8221;. What do you think of the new look? &#160;<div class="feedflare">

Facebook Privacy Settings – Changes You Should Make Today!

Did you know that, if you haven’t changed your Facebook privacy settings, you are sharing which sites you go to on the web with Facebook by default, without doing anything? Alright, let me back up a little bit and explain. I’m sure you’ve heard about this little thing called the ‘Like’ button on Facebook. A few months ago Facebook announced to the world that website owners can now place the ‘Like’ button anywhere on their site for users to click on. Literally, anything on the web can be ‘Like’d, allowing for instant personalization. Your favorite sites are automatically socialized, sharing with your friends blog posts you like, brands you like, products you like, and so on. By default, Facebook’s privacy settings allow for Facebook to collect your web trends (the sites you browse, etc…) regardless of whether you click the ‘Like’ button or not. Facebook is collecting the address of the web site or page you are visiting and the Internet address of the visitor just as soon as that page is loaded. The privacy peeps are pretty peeved because regardless of the users action, the information is still transmitted. Plus…Facebook doesn’t have an easy opt-out solution. Another thing to [...]<div class="feedflare">

Try Using Google Website Optimizer

Do you split-test your main (money making) pages? Split-testing is about trying different things, throwing out what doesn&#8217;t work as well, keeping what does work. You can do ongoing improvements and &#8220;magically&#8221; increase your returns. Especially important in pages where you&#8217;re trying to get your visitor to take a specific action. Such as sign up for your email list, or make a purchase. How to do this? Try using Google Website Optimizer. Google Website Optimizer is a little-known tool that Google has, that let&#8217;s you split-test different page variations, and keep improving your page according to results. You define a goal (such as conversion to sales) and it will let you know how the variations do vs. that goal. Even if you don&#8217;t want to mess with your main page, you can still have another page as a &#8220;testing ground&#8221; for split-testing (getting some test traffic in there from Adwords, or wherever) Then fold in the winning factors into your main page later. For example: maybe you have a big headline that&#8217;s in black letters. You&#8217;ve heard dark red can produce results, but you think it would be too &#8220;off-putting&#8221; to people. You&#8217;ve also heard about dark blue, but not [...]<div class="feedflare">

We do lots of SEO campaigns and have noticed an increasing trend of companies following their competitors&#8217; keywords. Businesses might assume that following competitor&#8217;s keywords must pertain to their own business since they are in fact, similar businesses. Breaking apart from the masses is best way to get noticed online. Since we are talking about what the best keywords are to use for your business, let&#8217;s first find out what the competition is doing right with their keywords. &#160; &#160; Why Your Competition Is Doing SEO Right Going after a competitor&#8217;s keywords is a good way to end up number 2 or 3 on search engines. Some of you business owners might think #2 would be great from the position you currently reside in. The competition has been running after those keywords for some time now.
Opting Out of Google Analytics

You heard right people! You can now now opt out of Google Analytics. I&#8217;m going to tell you how to do it, and why I believe this to be a bad idea. Google Analytics doesn’t reveal any personal information currently but they should be offering users more choices and control whenever it&#8217;s possible &#8211; which has been their feeling all along. This promoted them to launch a beta version of their much anticipated &#8220;Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on&#8221;. This is what they are officially calling it. &#160; How to Opt out of Google Analytics There seems to be one catch associated with this opt-out process. You will need to download and install some &#8220;add-on&#8221; for your browser on your computer. Why you need to install something to disable something else is beyond my understanding. This add-on will halt data from being sent from your computer when visiting sites that use the Analytics Javascript (ga.js) code to track the site&#8217;s visitor usage. After installation of the add-on, the information from your online visit doesn&#8217;t get sent to Google Analytics or included in its reports. Beta Version: Download the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on The opt-out (beta) that Google released on May [...]<div class="feedflare">

How to Get Quality Twitter Followers – the Correct Way

How to Get More Visitors on Twitter Once you set up your account you can start following people. It is advised to follow more people that are not in the same industry as you, as they are less likely to be bringing you extra business if they are in some ways your competition or already know how to do the services you&#8217;re providing. Twitter will only allow you to follow 2000 people as a member. After following you should post some interesting posts and wait to see how many people start following you back. This may take up to a week, so just keep posting and check back often to see who&#8217;s following you and you may find some entertaining posts from them. Now that you have the word out, you may get some people interested in what you have to say or the services or products you&#8217;re offering. Keep posting and following more people and you should start to get a good following in return. This will help get you noticed. It&#8217;s up to you to keep posting and interacting with the other people you associate with on Twitter. Everyone is generally friendly, so introduce yourself and have fun [...]<div class="feedflare">
