APA has signed actors Ethan Embry, Ryan Merriman and Tania Raymonde for representation.

Embry, also managed by Karen Randall, most recently appeared in the films "Eagle Eye" and "Heart of the Dragon." He also starred in the Showtime series "Brotherhood." His feature credits include "Can't Hardly Wait," "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" and "Sweet Home Alabama."

Merriman, also repped by Untitled Entertainment, has appeared in "Final Destination 3," "Halloween: Resurrection" and "The Ring Two." He recently completed filming the romantic comedy "Elevator Girl" for Hallmark and the indie film "The 5th Quarter."

Raymond, also repped by Untitled, has had recurring roles on the TV series "Lost" and "Cold Case." She has appeared in the features "The Garage," "Wild Cherry" and "Elsewhere" and next stars in the indie film "Trophy Kids."

Ryan Merriman (Home of the Giants) and Lacey Chabert (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past) star in �Elevator Girl,� an original movie about two strangers whose instant connection when they are stuck in an elevator together sparks an unexpected romance. Despite their seeming differences they fall in love and learn to embrace each other�s flaws.

Elevator Girl has just completed production and will air on Hallmark Channel in 2010.

Jonathan MacIntyre (Merriman) is a handsome workaholic at a prestigious law firm. When Jonathan is made a partner in his firm, the company throws a congratulatory dinner for him. On his way there he gets stuck in the building�s elevator with Libby Taylor (Chabert), a free-spirited, artistic type who is on her way to work as a server at Jonathan�s dinner.

The chemistry is immediate between Jonathan and Libby, but the vast differences between their worlds prevent them from pursuing a relationship until Jonathan�s secretary, Rosemary (Patty McCormack, Citizen Jane), orchestrates a second meeting between them where their connection resurfaces. Jonathan�s coworkers look down upon Libby, and Libby�s friends are wary of Jonathan�s character, but the influences of their peers prove no match to the power of fate that brought them together. Ultimately, their unlikely relationship pushes Jonathan and Libby to confront their own insecurities and figure out what really matters in life.

Elevator Girl is being produced by Larry Levinson Productions. Larry Levinson is the executive producer. Lincoln Lageson and Erik Heiberg are the producers. Bradford May directed from a script written by Jennifer Notas.

The Hallmark Channel has wrapped production on two new original movies: "Elevator Girl," starring Ryan Merriman and Lacey Chabert, and "The Three Gifts," headlined by Dean Cain, Jean Louisa Kelly, Mimi Kennedy and Reginald VelJohnson.

"Elevator," from Larry Levinson Prods., revolves around two strangers -- a hot-shot lawyer (Merriman) and a free-spirited artist (Chabert) -- whose instant connection when they are stuck in an elevator sparks an unexpected romance.

Larry Levinson executive produces the movie, written by Jennifer Notas and directed by Bradford May. It is slated to premiere in 2010.

"Three Gifts," from LG Films Prods. and Larry Levinson Prods., centers on a childless couple (Cain, Kelly) who take in three orphan boys to spend Christmas with them and end up trying to adopt them.

The movie, written by Donald Martin and Mitchell Gabourie and directed by Dave S. Cass, will air in December. Levinson is the exec producer.

I just noticed that the imdb page for Home of the Giants says that the movie was released on tv in Hungary on July 21st, 2009. Apparantly it's on HBO right now. Go to the Hungarian site for HBO for more information.

Here's a lengthy review of Wild Cherry including screencaptures. Be warned, it's potentially spoilerish, I haven't read it yet because I don't want to read any spoilers.

Dana Lustig�s �Wild Cherry� reminds me of another shot-in-Canada movie �Pigs�, in that both are based on a premise involving adolescent males engaging in a contest to sleep with a number of females. In �Pigs� a student (Jefferson Brown) wagers his collegiate mates that he can screw his way through the entire alphabet of coeds. In �Wild Cherry�, it�s the school football team attempting to screw the entire senior female class, all in an effort to appease the superstitious wonks of a secretive �bang book� passed down from season to season. The difference between the two films is that while �Pigs� was ultimately a mean-spirited, misogynistic affair with virtually no redeeming qualities, �Wild Cherry� charts a far different course as it weighs into its ugly subject matter � one that is much more light hearted, thoughtful and even, dare I say, sweet.
