I am sure most of you who look at the blog have seen what is below, but just in case, I thought I would reproduce it here for you.

It is from Communications at CPS.

Dear Colleague:

Effective March 31, the cps.k12.il.us website took on a new look and is no longer available to the public. The site is now accessible only by members of the CPS network, including Central Office staff, our schools and internal users. Likewise, the site is only accessible via CPS network computers or via VPN (remote access).

To better serve the CPS community, cps.k12.il.us has undergone a thorough content-cleanup process to ensure that we maintain and enhance important and relevant information that site users find valuable. The Office of Communications met with all web content owners to determine which information should be kept, updated and/or removed, and we feel confident that you’ll find a wealth of useful information on the new internal site.

The new cps.k12.il.us features an area where our leadership can address the entire CPS community and includes a news section shared between the public site and the internal site. The site also gives CPS staff the opportunity to ask questions and have their questions answered in a timely manner and provides easier access to popular links such as CPS@Work, Impact, and other Staff Resources.

In addition, the site has been given a new face to provide consistency with the new public website, cps.edu. Users will recognize the new logo, tagline and the same overall look and feel of the public site.

If you have any questions, please contact Mike Vaughn, Director of Internal Communications, at mvaughn@cps.k12.il.us or 553-5930.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we transition to this new website.
