PUMA released their latest running shoe, called Mobium Elite. The sports company has developed a sole that naturally spreads to allow for cushioning and support upon impact. Once the foot then leaves the ground, the Mobium band running through the sole contracts and assists the natural propulsion. The Mobium Elite’s design and construction is based on the natural movement of your foot during a normal running gait, resulting in adaptive running. In a collaboration with UK music artist Ellie Goulding, Nike is releasing a special version of the Flyknit Lunar One+ named after the artist her latest album ‘Halcyon’. This remix album was made to inspire and motivate the women particpating in the Nike Women Half Marathon in Washington on April 28th. The design was made together with the artist herself.

The Nike Presto debuted in 2000 and is one of the models that served as inspiration for the Nike Free to be developed in later years. The Nike Lunar Presto is the second Lunar Presto after the Lunar Presto Rejuven8 three years ago. The dynamic mesh is still intact, but the engineered support cage has been replaced by Dynamic Flywire that goes beneath and round the back of the foot to increase the Presto’s patented foot hug.

adidas Energy boost™ review

This is the first test review on RunRanRun. Before you read any further, be aware that this will be no technical review of any kind. Lots of these techie reviews can be read elsewhere online by people who are much more into that than I. Having that said, let’s go on with the show.

The adidas boost makes a good first impression from the get go. After opening up the box and take the shoes in your hands you feel they are very lightweight and flexible. The overall feeling it gives you is one of quality and professionalism. Details are well worked out and the design of the shoe is in total balance.

The fit is stretchy, good and very comfortable like a pair of slippers. The support of the shoe is on point. You feel like stepping into a racing car and immediately get this urge to start running. And that’s where the strength of the adidas boost lies in. Once you start running, there’s no stopping to it. Remember the days as a kid playing outside? When time played no role and all you wanted to do is keep on playing? Well, that’s the exact feeling the boost gave me. Can’t say if its the technology built into the shoes or whether the marketing around them is taking effect but they were screaming for an extra lap and I couldn’t resist.
The shoes kept rolling and my feet kept moving. All of this in a natural and comfortable energetic stride.

So whether its the shoes or the boost playing tricks with my mind, they got me running further in a playful manner. More importantly, they made my run more fun! And that’s what running should be about for me, the fun and enjoyment of going that extra mile. Out for a boost and back in a boost.

Final verdict: Top Notch!
