Groton Road Race

Join me as I (kinda) run the Groton Road Race. It was a beautiful day for running and this is a very scenic course in the hills of Groton, MA. We have guest appearances from Nik and Dan from 4 Feet Running and Steve Runner of Phedipidations! Also Alet (@petfxr) from Twitter joins the fun as well. I appreciate the fact that Steve and Alet ran MY Pace which was slow slow slow!!! Chris Russell (race director) puts together a great race, I highly recommend it to everyone!

It's Christmastime at Run New England so that means it's time for the annual Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis. This is my 3rd running of this race which is important to me. Someone I love is afflicted with this debilitating disease making it a race that I want to support. The course is at Roger Williams Park just south of Providence; it is hilly but beautiful!

This is a 5K weekend - I'm running another 5K the next day! I was going to combine them into one episode but I have too much good stuff to share to fit into only one episode!!

The park is a kiddy park where the train is the main attraction, but it is transformed into a winter wonderland for the holidays. It's Halloween and time for the annual Spooky Run in New Bedford, MA. Last year it was hot for this race but this year it was perfect running temps; 50 degrees. The course changed a bit due to construction but the hill at mile 3 to 4 was still there!

We catch up with Nik and Dan from www.4FeetRunning.Blogspot.com and see Dan in his amazing costume. Be warned, in this episode there are monsters, dog fights, Penguins and poop. Yes, poop and you've been warned!

It's the 4th of July weekend and we meet up with so many friends for the Mattapoisett 5 mile Road Race that we don't have much time to show the race! Watch and catch up with Nik and Dan from the famous 4 Feet Running (www.4feetrunning.blogspot.com) as well as our usual cast of characters! We get many knee updates as many folks (including my Brother!) are facing knee issues! Editing this episode really made me realize how many running friends I have, and how running can bring all kinds of people together for a common purpose regardless of age, gender, or ability. I'm grateful that I can run, for my running friends and those that support us in our effort to be healthy and happy. I'm very grateful for our wonderful country and those that created it and have protected it since 1620.

Join me for another run outside of New England! Today I run with Ed, my colleague from JC Penney. We are in meetings in Plano, TX and boy is it HOT outside! The run was actually 99 degrees even though I mentioned it was 91 degrees! We run through a neighborhood across from the hotel and see how "the other half" lives! Nice houses, close together, and a Limo that's not even rented! If the quality seems better, it's my new improved HD camera!

Actually my youngest Son got a new Mac for college graduation and his birthday so I inherited his old Mac. Clearly the Mac's are better for video editing and even though it's about 4 years old it worked MUCH better than Movie Maker and my PC! And so I bring you episode 3 of Run New England! Today we talk about why I love running as suggested by Phil Moneypenny of Runcast.tv, a great website for running videos. The original intent was to post this in Feb during the Valentine season.
