Recycling in Weirton

We brought the aluminum cans that my FIL has collected to the recycling place in downtown Weirton a couple of months ago.

My husband was the only one who went down because it was raining. Me and the kids stayed inside the car.

What else can I do but to click, click, click while my Burritos were goofing around hehehe.

It's snowing here at our end so we are stuck inside the house. My migraine just want to stay with me since yesterday arrrgh.

During the Christmas Play at my daughter's school, her partner was supposed to be her husband. It was cute to watch them.

Before the start of the play, the mom of one of my daughter's classmates came and talked to me. She was laughing because she said that her son asked my daughter for a DATE? What????? A first grader asking for a date? It freaked me out a little. Then she said that my daughter said "NO" to her son. Oh thank goodness!

Then a few weeks ago, she gave this thing that he did for my daughter. My daughter said that he asked her again if they can go for a date. Oh my, this is making me so worried wahhhh. I told my daughter that she can not date until she's 18 hahaha.

Ms. Burrito gave this animal toy to her brother which he found fun to feed with. Oh boy, what is the matter with kids nowadays. Phew!

When Mr. Burrito got a doze of diarrhea, we ended up bringing him to the doctor after a couple of days. While waiting for the doctor, we don't have anything to do but play with the camera just to pass the time.

It turned out to be a disappointment because the doctor did not do anything, she told us that it will eventually stop. So our one hour was wasted there. Oh well, it is still good to ask the opinion of the professional right?

Mr. Burrito learned a big lesson about this experience, he is now very cautious in touching stuff. He washes his hands frequently now and does not put things in his mouth. It's funny that every time he passes gas, he would ask "Is it a Diarrhea Mom?"

Hello everyone, I apologize if I haven't been around in your blog today. We were so busy in school and other activities at home. Today was the first day of the Catholic School Week celebration at St. Joe's dubbed as "Faith , Academics, and Service." It was an Open House today and parents and grandparents were invited to come to the classroom and see how the kids act and participates with the teacher's lessons. Mr. Burrito got a special seat in the classroom and he got the chance to participate with the other children. This experience helped boost Mr. Burrito's confidence to go to school.

In the afternoon, they had the computer class. It's amazing how kids are so good with computer stuff nowadays unlike in my generation lol. Mr. Burrito learned some stuff on the computer too.

Ms. Burrito and Billy. These two are the Asians in their class. Ms. Burrito and Billy were awarded for their good deeds. In their class, they have this behavior chart where the teacher give them sticker every time they do a good deed then at the 9th week, the students with most stickers gets a a prize.

When we came home, we played play doh. Ms. Burrito made these, pretty timing for letter C of ABC Wednesday isn't it? Believe me, I did not ask her to do that. She showed it to me when she was almost done.

This reminds me when I was still single. I am always at the end of the line whenever we have to claim our Christmas Bonus in the school where I worked then because my Maiden name starts with letter O but when I got married to C, I got in front of the line... such a relief lol.

After dinner, Ms. Burrito challenged Champ to play chess with her but Champ thought it's boring lol.

Ms. Burrito played with Mr. C and today was the very first time she won against my husband wohooooo.

Weekend Activities

To keep your children from doing ornery things, give them something to work on. My husband had a lot of homework this weekend so we couldn't go anywhere. We bought a cupcake mix and made it on Saturday morning. After we got done with the cupcake project, I gave my children some homework.

Mr. Burrito work on his Kindergarten book while Ms. Burrito continue to write her short stories.

I hope you guys had a great weekend just like we did!

Poppin Movie Snacks

Oone of the gifts that Mr. Burrito got during his birthday was a set of "Poppin Movie Snacks" playdoh. Both of my Burritos love playing with playdoh so it is always a sold out.

During our breaktime with home lessons, Mr. Burrito's favorite thing to do is this. I preferred activity like tyhis more than watching TV. It brings out their creativity.

When we were done, he gave me some snacks too.

I upgraded our television package at directstartv.com. Now, I get to watch Martha Stewart during the day and boy have I been inspired! I just can’t believe how creative she is. My favorite things that she does are not in the kitchen, although I have cooked a lot of things that she shows on “Martha Speaks”. She is actually a really accomplished gardener. I have loved to garden ever since I was little. I remember my great grandmother having a beautiful flower garden. She loved to grow anything and everything. She was particularly proud of her roses. Now, when I garden, it brings back fond memories of her and the wonderful times that we spent on her farm as kids. I have done all types of new things in my garden that Martha has taught me. I made some really great tags for the garden out of recycled tin and have also painted a lot of the pots in the yard with black board paint. You can write on the pots with chalk. I usually name the flower or herb that is growing and make a mark if it had been watered that day or pruned. It is a good way to keep track of everything. Love Martha!

I got this bookcase from CSN for free. This company has changed it's ownership and is now a Wayfair. I liked the management of CSN because they give some deserving bloggers to review their product and in return they give you gift codes to buy the product that you want from their store. This bookcase holds the answers to most of my children's curiosity and inquisitive mind about different things. My daughter's favorite book to read is her Bible and the Atlas of the World book.

My daughter like to try a lot of things. She is very active, the only time she takes time to rest is when she sleeps. She is also very inquisitive with every thing, love to ask so many questions. But most of the time she's very ornery.. Just like today, she dumped half of the content of the baby cologne on a baby wipe. I asked her why she did it, she told me that she have to clean her hands and clean the table too, expensive way of cleaning huh!

Then after I gave her a bath, she stuck her two hands on the vicks, wahhhhhhh! She said she need to put it in her chest so she won't get sick, pretty good anticipation lol.. And then now, she unrolled a lot of paper towels.. At first she said, she's making lumpia and then she changed her mind into wrapping gifts... Oh my golly, my girl is driving me crazy! I find it cute though that she have all these ideas in mind lol..

The last photo showed the butchered version of Mrs. Potato Head that she made from her Playdoh lol.

Actor and Actress Pretenders

These are my little artists pretending to be an actor and actress. They would often climb in our bed and sing and dance to entertain us.

Mr. Burrito love to strum his guitar and Ms. Burrito would sing her heart out using the Paper Jamz Pro Series or sometimes they would sing using our karaoke mic. It's a fun and joyful entertainment to watch these angels of mine. I can see Mr. Burrito using a rickenbacker 4003 when he grow up. I'll show you the picture of my husband when he played bass in their band during his teenage years lol.

I hope you guys enjoyed the extra day off yesterday, we had a blast!

Mr. Burrito had a blast during his 5th birthday celebration. I heard so much gratitude from my little man telling us "You're the best Mom, Dad, and Sister in the world, I love you guys! He was also very happy that there are kids who came including Bumble Bee, the the J&J bunch, and Amber.

Our friend who recently moved in a nearby state is planning to put up a business here in the area. There's not much establishment that engages kids physical fitness during cold season so he sees an opportunity to put up one here. Hubby looked into the ecommerce web solution and other stuff that could possibly help our friend get all the info that he needs with his business plan. I think that it is a brilliant idea because most of the parents will jump into that especially if the location is in the middle of everything.

There's an ecommerce consulting that he found from eCommerce Partners website. They provide powerful online business solutions and other business services like consulting, strategy, interface design, internet marketing and more. Starting a new business involves a lot of work but once you are well established, every hard work will eventually paid off.

Oh boy, time flies fast really. My son just turned five years old today (1/15) and he doesn't want to becalled baby anymore wahhh. My little man is growing up and he is slowly slipping from Mommy's hands. A special thanks to my SIL Chris for making a beautiful and yummy cake!

We had a small get together yesterday attended by close friends and family. My husband drove to my FIL's home so he could attend Mr. Burrito's party yesterday. He doesn't drive when it's late because of his vision.

Another year is another blessing for us with my FIL still around. He will turn 90 in a few months and I am so glad that my children can still enjoy his company! We love you Dad!

Skate Ramp

The weather is so cold today, I was shivering when I waled down the school to get my daughter. My daughter runs in the school field before we go home, she gets warm that way. I can't wait till summer time again so all of us can go for a walk and the kids can ride a bike. There's skate ramps downtown and during summer time, it's full of teenagers skating.

I am planning to have a garage sale this summer to get rid of the baby stuff that we accumulated when our kids were born like car seats, cribs, bassinet and more. It's been stored in our seller for years now and we want clear up our storage area for other things. I was looking at the selection of campaign signs cheap, at Signs Super Cheap and found different stuff for yard signs.

Youngest Sister

Of all my siblings, my youngest sister is the only one with a different letter as a start for a given name. My parents picked the first letter of my father's name which is R, so all of us 8, have names that starts with letter R. When my mother got pregnant at 40, I suggested to break the tradition and I suggested a different name. It's an out of this world name and you probably never heard of it before but it's unique and no one has it but her lol. Her name is Zilreen Mae.

Hubby and I are trying our best to support her finances in school. She is now on her Junior year of her Elementary Education course. She is working as student assistant in school. She was first assigned at Elementary department but now transferred to the President's Office in the college department. I wish you all the best my dearest sis.

Traveling With Kids, the Easy Way

Traveling with kids is a challenge but if you are equipped with things that they can do during the travel, it's alright. We bought our daughter one of the kids luggage when we were still overseas so whenever we travel, I use it to put their stuff like crayons, drawing book, and other stuff. Above is a photo of our son carrying the kid's luggage when we went to Disney World last year.

After the Mass on Christmas Eve

We were not able to attend the get together at my FIL's home on Christmas Eve because of the mass but we visited him later that night. The kids were delighted for the gifts that were waiting for them at Dad's.

Thanks Titas for the gifts! My NIL Jen gave the kids this Nok Hockey set and Ms. Burrito seemed addicted to it already. Thanks Chris, Gail, Jen and Jim, Lee's family, Michelle, and Dad for the gifts!

Butterflies

My daughter and I were sitting in our front porch and we saw these butterflies that look exactly the same. They were devouring the nectar on our flowers, i hurried up and took some pictures.. I was waiting for them to land together but it seems like they have LQ lol!
