James Hoke Dorough was born on May 6th, 2009. Dorough weighed in at four and a half pounds and 16 1/4 inches long. “James’ middle name is in honor of Howie’s father Hoke, who passed away last year after a battle with brain and lung cancer.”

Considering the source, the rumors are questionable but we have some details here.

Reports of reporter Anderson Cooper adopting a Haitian child have been plaguing the internet, especially since the National Enquirer have dished their dirt.

Sure, Cooper has been doing fabulous things in Haiti since the country was struck with a devastating earthquake. And while his long hours of reporting and heroism have grabbed the attention of many, the National Enquirer is reporting that a longtime friend of Anderson and his alleged boyfriend are interested in adopting a Haitian orphan. Okay, wait one hot minute here. Since when did Cooper have a boyfriend? Wowsers. That’s the first I’ve heard about that! Okay, well anyhow, a supposed longtime friend of Anderson and his “boyfriend” is dishing that “the death and destruction in Haiti made Anderson realize what’s really important. He and Ben have decided to become dads. Ben has been the best thing that’s ever happened to Anderson. They both feel they’re ready for a baby.” Well apparently, this longtime friend does not have a clue what he/she is talking about.

Via his official Twitter account, Anderson Cooper has dispelled those adoption rumors by tweeting, “From ac: while the plight of children in Haiti has touched us all, stories about me adopting a baby are completely false.”

Awww, well we are disappointed as Anderson would be a fabulous father! So long, longtime “friend” of the silver fox. Thanks for clearing up those adoption rumors, Mr. Cooper! Keep up the wonderful coverage and all you are doing in Haiti!

A big congratulations is in order for Sarah Jane Morris and her husband Ned Brower. The couple has welcomed a baby boy into their lives. Nothing like a new addition! Sarah gave birth to Emmett Andrew Brower on Sunday, January 24th, 2010.

And in new Hollywood fashion, the new Hollywood parents announced their bundle’s arrival via a social network. Ned and Sarah’s choice? Facebook. New dad Ned, drummer for the band Rooney, announced the good news saying, “S.O.N. (Son of Ned) hath arrived. Emmett Andrew Brower weighs in at 8.2 lbs. Sarah labored for 15 hours w/ NO meds … she is a total powerhouse and my hero.” Gotta love it when a man respect’s the child birth process!

Sarah recently dished about her thoughts on child birth telling a source, “I’m excited, curious, and terrified about doing it, but something in my gut is telling me that it’s an experience I don’t want to miss out on — even though I know it is going to be painful and hard. It is called ‘labor’ after all! But I look at it as a privilege we have as women, and I think that it will only make me stronger as a person.” You go girl!

A little background on the two love birds: Ned and Sarah were college sweethearts and wed in February of 2005. Emmett Andrew Brower is the couple’s first child together. Congratulations you two crazy kids!

Tyrese Gibson’s daughter, Shaylar Somer, is too young right now to really understand what is going down in her family’s household, but one day she will know why her parents are no longer together. Tyrese Gibson is the proud papa of the little 2 1/2-year old, along with mama Norma Gibson.

However, as of late Tyrese and Norma are in the middle of a custody battle. Similar to his latest movie’s plot Legion, Tyrese was surprised to find out that the storyline of his flick would be a reflection of what his own life would be like.

About the similarity of his life and his latest movie, Gibson told a source, “It’s almost like this film predicted that I was gonna go through that. I actually went through it in the movie before I went through it in real life.”

However even though he is going through this difficult time during his life, Tyrese has advice to those fathers who are going through similar situations. “At the end of the day, this is what I would say to all fathers: Don’t allow the conflicts between [you and] the mother of your child … to get in the way of your responsibility as a father…Your responsibility when you coexist and create a child is to be a father — period — because that child is affected by your irresponsibilities if you decide to be irresponsible.”

Well that is good news for Tyrese Gibson’s daughter, Shayla Somer! She won’t have to get so involved in this hot mess separation. Hopefully it will be as civil as Gibson says.

Dave Grohl has had years of life as a wild rock star. In fact, wild could possibly even be considered an understatement. But according to Grohl, family and kids have calmed the rocker down. So just what does 41-year-old Grohl think about fatherhood? Read more about his love for his kiddos below.

In a recent interview for TIME magazine’s ‘10 Questions’ column, Grohl spoke about his life as a musician and how having children has changed him. He says, “I used to tour nine months out of the year. Now I don’t like being away from my kids for more than 12 days. It’s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.”

Grohl has two children with his wife Jordyn Blum Grohl whom he married in 2003. With two daughters, Violet Maye, 3 ½, and Harper Willow, 9 months, Dave is a doting father. Good for Dave! I am sure he is a fabulously cool papa.

On his official website, Matthew McConaughey and his baby mama Camila Alves have released the first photo of their baby girl, Vida Alves McConaughey. She weighed in at seven pounds and seven ounces. And she sure is a cutie! No surprise there, though. Papa and mama are pretty easy on the eyes.

On McConaughey’s website, he shared, “Here’s a pic of our latest family member Vida Alves McConaughey. Thanks for all your well wishes our way, the future’s lookin bright, just keep livin. On Sunday, Jan. 3rd at 12:13am, Camila gave birth to a healthy 7lb. 7oz. baby girl named ‘Vida Alves McConaughey’… ‘Vida’ is Portuguese for ‘life’ and that’s what God gave us this morning.” How freakin’ sweet is that!

Matthew’s brother Rooster, who is a very interesting man, recently revealed his star sibling is extremely “proud” of his newborn daughter. He said, “He called me and said, ‘I made a little baby girl.’ He’s all proud… he’s got it going on now.”

Congratulations to Matthew and Camila on their new addition Vida. Little Vida joins big brother 19-month-old Levi. I am sure this little family is a busy one now!

Comedian Will Ferrell and his wife Viveca Paulin have a new addition to their family of already busy boys. With big brothers Magnus and Mattias, I’m thinking mama Viveca may have wanted that baby girl. Well, this time around, Ferrell gave her another boy. Axel Ferrell was born on Saturday morning, January 23rd, in Los Angeles.

Ferrell’s rep told People, “All the Ferrells are well.” Good to hear!

In an interesting turn of events, Ferrell met his son just hours after performing ‘Free Bird’ on the final ‘Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.’ Apparently, little Axel wanted to be free as well! Congratulations to the happy family and welcome little Axel Ferrell!

“Here, my parents are thinking they’re seeing a beautiful photograph by a major photographer, and the people of America want to see something dirty in that? On leaving LA this summer to film her new movie, The Last Song:

“I got on the plane [to Georgia], and I was lying in my mom’s lap and crying and saying, “I’m so happy to be getting out of L.A. [In Tybee, GA] I went out every night with my friends. I did karaoke. I danced. All this stuff would’ve been such a big deal in Los Angeles: Who’s she with? Why is she dancing? I felt so alive and real. It’s so much easier to know who you are when there aren’t a thousand people telling you who they think you are. I felt like I was really figuring myself out.
