The Oprah Winfrey show will have been on the air for 25 years when it ends in September 2011. Not even Phil Donahue’s show was on the air that long. Through the years Ms. Winfrey has given her two cents on everything, and I do mean everything. If it was a hot topic Oprah was all over. Celebrities and non-celebrities a like pretty much all flocked to Oprah’s show.

The Big O has built herself an empire fit for a queen and it all started with her talk show. I mean the woman has a book club, her own magazine, starred in an Oscar nominated movie. You get my point she is unstoppable. So if you are a media mogul like Oprah what to you do next, retire? Nope you get yourself your own network and that is exactly what Oprah did. The Oprah Winfrey Network, OWN, will launch in January 2011, a mere 9 months before her talk show says goodbye.

There is a lot of speculation that Oprah will actually move her coveted show to her new network. Although she did not indicate that was happening at all in today’s announcement. However there is plenty of time for the queen of daytime to change her mind. I mean if celebrities can’t go on Oprah how ever will they know they have made it big time.

I know I am still processing this announcement. I am not a huge Oprah fan but she has dominated daytime television for years, it is hard to imagine her not apart of it. No more car giveaways, no more Oprah’s favorite things shows, no more Oprah annoying voce, things sure are going to be different when The Oprah Winfrey Show goes dark. The youngest sibling of the Jackson family will get the party started on Sunday night. Her appearance at the highly anticipated event is billed as a “special opening performance,” which has fans eagerly waiting to hear the medley of hit tunes… I for one can’t wait to hear the songs that she has selected for the act.

Her late brother Michael Jackson has been nominated for five posthumous American Music Awards, for which fans will decide if he or another artist will win by voting online. So if you want to see the “King of Pop” honored one last time visit the Awards’ official site and vote!

Janet Jackson is about to drop a two-disc set of her greatest hits, which includes a new single titled “Make Me”. So between that and her brother’s award nominations, it was only fitting that she kick things off.

AMA Producer Larry Klein exclaimed this about the pop icon in a press release:

“She is an incredibly dynamic performer, and I think the audience will be excited to see what she has in store.”

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a video is worth a thousand pictures. So don’t forget to set your DVR’s, because you never know what mayhem will occur at the Awards show.

Other performers on the evening include Whitney Houston, Rihanna, Green Day, Shakira, Lil’ Wayne, Mary J. Blige, Keith Urban, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, the Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry and Adam Lambert.

If that list doesn’t get you excited, check your pulse because you might be dead. Well, at least inside anyway.

Recently Steven, 61, fell off the stage during a performance and seriously injured himself.

Now four months later everyone around Tyler is concerned for his well being. Even going so far as to say Steven has “isolated himself.” Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer stated: “He’s got some bad influences in his life right now and he’s making poor choices.” Could he be referring to Tyler’s girlfriend Erin Brady?

On August 5, 2009 the rocker fell off stage in Sturgis, South Dakota while his band was playing the song “Love in an Elevator.” Steven stepped right off the stage ramp while dancing around in an attempt to entertain the crowd after the sound system stopped working during the song.

Bandmembers seem convinced that Tyler has relapsed. Juding by all the health problems and injuries that Steven has sustained, that could be possible. Just last year Tyler had to undergo foot surgery and even checked into rehab to “recuperate” from that operation. In March he contracted pneumonia and then in August he took a stage dive that resulted in head, neck and shoulder injuries.

As for Erin Brady not much is information is out there. They say Erin is believed to be a huge factor as to why Stephen was recently in rehab again. Apparently Erin is quite fond of the party like a rock star mentality.

Many of those who are close to Tyler are suggesting Steven, who battled drug addiction in the ’70s and ’80s and checked into a rehab center last year to detox from painkillers, (not foot surgery as reported) may be partying again.

Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford says “His behavior is spinning out of control.” He also revealed that Tyler’s behavior has been “erratic” and “unpredictable.” He notes, “It wasn’t an overnight change. It’s been progressively getting out of hand.”

The biggest telling factor? “Loads of cancellations, canceled tours, and canceled dates,” says Whitford.

Steven Tyler is one of the greatest rock stars ever. Let’s all hope that he call pull it together and recover from whatever it is that is “ailing” him.

The accident occurred in Dinwiddie, Virginia on Interstate 85 around 8:15AM this morning. Dinwiddie is an unincorporated area about 40 miles south of Richmond, Virginia.

Sgt. Thomas Molnar with the Virginia State Police said that the tour bus turned over on its side leaving one dead and another person with minor injuries. The bus was reportedly carrying her production crew, but not the singer herself. She was however traveling with the caravan of four buses—just not on that particular bus.

Many outlets have reported that the deceased person was the bus driver, but that has not been confirmed. It is also unclear whether or not the driver died at the time of accident or afterwards. Officials said conditions were poor after overnight rains had left the roads wet and slippery. Photos have been circulating showing the massive luxury tour bus on its side just off the shoulder of the road.

We’ll have to see if the accident causes any cancellations. Her next show is supposed to be in Greensboro, North Carolina on Sunday the 22nd.

You know what irks me a bit? Most of the articles written about the story come off like “There was an accident today involving Miley Cyrus’ tour bus and one person died BUT DON’T WORRY, it wasn’t Miley..shew!”

I mean, come on, someone died during this wreck. No he wasn’t a famous Disney kid, but I’m sure he was a hard working person with a family. Show some respect people. Sheesh.

James and Linda have 2 young children. James states: “We have two beautiful kids together and will remain great friends. Everything will be fine.” This is not James first marriage “rodeo” either. Linda is James fourth wife! Caan is seeking joint custody of the boys.

James has led a rather quiet life considering the four wives. But I was able to dig up some interesting trivia type facts about Mr. Caan.

First off, James was born on March 26, 1940 in the Bronx, New York. When James was a kid his nicknames were “Shoulders” and “Killer Caan”. Caan was a drama major at Hofstra University on Long Island, New York.

James has a black belt in karate and he also spent 9 years on the pro rodeo circuit. So, Cann is definitely a tough guy. In fact his film contracts during his rodeo days had written in them that he could not compete in rodeos during filming. This was for fear he would injure or kill himself. That’s serious!

Caan, who earned an Academy Award nomination for his role as Sonny Corleone in The Godfather, has starred in numerous movies and television series.

I could not dig up much of anything on Linda Caan other than she appeared on a TV special called “Making a Scene”. And of course that she’s James Caan’s wife. Until now. Hey, maybe they’ll reconcile, you never know.

James married Linda in Oct 1996. Caan and Stokes have two kids named James Arthur Caan and Jacob Nicholas Caan. James Jr was born on Nov 6, 1995 while Jacob was born on Sep 24, 1998. It’s always a shame when parents divorce, hopefully they will be able to keep things amicable for the sake of the children.

In her new book Lauren will not only give fashion tips, but she will show readers how they can incorporate her style in with their own personal style. I think LC has great style, but I don’t know that I would want to incorporate it into my own life. According to Conrad the book will offer tips that are practical and useful to all women. I admit my interest in this style guide is peaked, Lauren does have good fashion sense, her Kohl’s clothing line is pretty decent, plus she always looks great so I guess she knows what she is talking about.

Lauren is turning into quite the little writer. Her fist book L.A. Candy which is really just a rip off of Lauren’s life, was very successful. I haven’t actually read the book, but I heard it was pretty good. L.A Candy landed on The New York Times Best Seller list and it is going to be turned into a movie! Not bad for a first time writer. The second book, Sweet Little Lies, in the three book series will hit bookshelves in February.

LC is one busy girl. It sure is a good thing she left The Hills since it seems she is all about her writing. I bet Heidi and Spencer are not too happy that Lauren’s new how to style guide book announcement is coming out so close to the release of their How To Be Famous book. I would read Laurens book over the Pratt’s book any day.

She may no longer be on The Hills but LC certainly isn’t giving up the spotlight anytime soon.

It doesn’t take much to notice that someone got a little heavy handed with the photoshop buttons and removed a big chunk of her upper thigh! Yeah, like Demi has such big heifer thighs that they had to pare them down a bit. I seriously doubt that Demi would need much retouching at all but it looks like W magazine went way overboard.

Demi Moore, 47 has graced the covers of many a magazine over the last couple decades and she gets better looking every year. Hey, that’s just not right. Us regular people start to get saggy and baggy. We get lines, wrinkles and grey hair but for Demi, time stands still. Good genes or great plastic surgery?

We all understand that celebrities aren’t perfect and most can use a little touch up here and there but to take out a noticeable chunk? Makes you wonder how that got past editing.

At least the interview sounds enticing. They talk about
Demi’s “cougar” status. Of course Demi is married to a much, much younger Ashton Kutcher. I always wondered about those two. He is such a goof ball. I guess he makes her happy and she keeps him relevant. Anyway, in the interview they ask Demi how she feels about the term “cougar” which many have thrown at her following her marriage to Ashton Kutcher. Demi states, “I’m certainly not the first person to be in a relationship with a younger man, but somehow I was plucked out as a bit of a poster girl, I don’t know why that is.”

So what does Demi prefer to be called? “Puma.”

It was like time had never passed. Locklear stole the screen and has definitely added some fire into the new Melrose Place. The show is barely hanging on by a thread, but I have a feeling that kicking Ashlee Simpson to the curb and bringing Locklear into the mix just might turn this show into something really freaking good. Locklear’s Amanda quickly made it clear she was in charge, to the dismay Ella, the wanna be Amanda of the new Melrose Place. Oh Ella don’t you know that there is now and will always be only one Amanda Woodward. I can see many catfights in the future for these shall we say independent women who don’t take crap from anyone.

Heather Locklear moved into the original Melrose Place with her drop dead good looks, oozing sex appeal and don’t mess with me attitude, which completely revamped the sinking show turning it into mega hit in the 19090’s. Will lightening strike twice for both Locklear and Melrose Place. After Tuesday nights episode, I would say there is a dang good chance it will. Heather brings a life to the show it was lacking, just like the original one. So what is it about Heather Locklear that makes her valuable to this show? Well that is simple, she plays the perfect biotch.

Locklear has had a successful run on primetime television with hit shows such as Dynasty, TJ Hooker, and Spin City. But is has always been her portrayal of the sexy vixen, Amanda Woodward that made her stand out in the television industry. All eyes are certainly on Heather and the new Melrose Place to see whether or not history will repeat itself. Heather it is great to have you and Amanda back!

Considering the lifestyle Carmen Electra seems to lead this sex tape is kind of surprising. Of course there is a quite a bit of lesbian action and even Carmen unzipping a pair of pants on a guy, you don’t get to see much more than Carmen topless at the very end. If you like stripper action though, you’ll love this video. It’s been pulled from most sites for now but I am sure it will pop up again. Want to know what I saw?

Not only did Rebecca lose 100 pounds she found love on the show. Rebecca and Daniel Wright have fallen in love. Rebeca said: “Daniel was my best friend, is my best friend, and after leaving the show we talked for, like, five, six-hour conversations and then…he told me he had feelings.”

Daniel Wright 20, was on season 7 only to return for this season to “finish what he started”. He was season 7’s heaviest contestant, going from 454 to 312 lbs. Since this season was all about “second chances” he got an opportunity to come back and lose another 35 lbs. before being eliminated last week.

Rebecca Meyer 25, grew up as the youngest of four children. Rebecca had struggled every day for the last 14 years with her weight, being the heaviest in her family. Back when Rebecca was about 17 she starved herself and lost 80 pounds. She quickly regained the 80 pounds plus an additional 50!

In high school Rebecca was always active in sports and the R.O.T.C. She always planned on a military career but could never get her weight down far enough to reach the military requirements.

While Meyer is a resident of Des Moines in Iowa while Wright lives at Willow Spring in North Carolina they make it a point to meet up twice a month.

This relationship could work out, remember Suzy Preston and Matt Hoover from Season 2 got married and had a couple of kids.
