Here is the lowdown on what started this latest drama with The Voice judge. Last night he went on Twitter and sent out about rewriting the lyrics to Shania Twain’s hit song ‘Any Man of Mine’, these couple of lines are what started the whole controversy.

“Re-writing my fav Shania Twain song. Any man that tries Touching my behind He’s gonna be a beaten, bleedin’, heaving kind of guy…”

That immediately caused a slew of responses or as the singer called them “anti-gay hate tweets.” Soon after GLADD stepped in and called the powers that be at The Voice demanded that Blake issue an apology for his words. Since then Shelton has tweeted this apology.

Hey, y’all allow me to seriously apologize for the misunderstanding with the whole re-write on the Shania song last night…It honestly wasn’t even meant that way… I now know that (there) are people out there waiting to jump at everything I say on here or anywhere. But when it comes to gay/lesbian rights or just feelings… I love everybody. So go look for a real villain and leave me out of it!!!”

What Blake tweeted certainly showed a lack of class whether he meant anything by it or not. He could have chosen his words more wisely that is true. Did he mean anything by it well he said no but even his apology didn’t seem 100% sincere. It is easy to see how his words could offend someone especially in the cyber world. I don’t know if Blake is homophobic or not that is not for me to say. But considering all the cyber bullying going on in today’s world maybe Mr. Shelton should think before he tweets. That is what I think what about you?

I don’t know what in the world Cyrus was thinking when she decided to cover the hit Nirvana song but the end result was disastrous and honestly so disgraceful to a classic song. First of all Miley cannot pull off grunge no matter what anyone tells her. Second I don’t even think she knew the words to the song, in the video you can barely understand what she was saying but that could be because she was literally eating the microphone.

It is pretty safe to say that rock fans all over the world are going to be pissed off about the fact that Disney starlet Cyrus thought she had the chops to pull off such a song, I know I am and I wasn’t even a diehard Nirvana fan. Miley is a pop girl and will never be anything else so she should stick to what she knows and stop ruining good music with her awful voice. Seriously when you look at the footage yourself you will totally understand what I am talking about. Girl can’t sing that well live in the first place so there is no need to try to cover a song that is so out of her element.

You might be wondering why the former Hannah Montana star would choose to sing such a song on her tour. Well in the video she explains she is all about doing music on her current tour that inspired her to want to be on stage. Here is note Miley just because it inspired you doesn’t mean you can do it justice, just a little food for thought there.

Alright friends I clearly think that Miley’s version of ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ sucked but it isn’t just about me so let me know your thoughts. I know you have them too so spill it!

Since her American Idol gig, Jennifer Lopez has eased her way back into the music scene. Ok I take that back. She has used this high profile opportunity to emerge back onto the scene with a vengeance. And let’s just say since doing so, she has been highly successful.

In her new video, Lopez is directed by Melina Matsoukas and co-stars with a very hot man named William Levy. Yes, Lopez frolicks on the beach showcasing her fit self and she shows off those stems in a bejeweled gown.

About the filming of her video in Mexico at Chichen Itza, Lopez told the Today Show, “We did it in Mexico in Chichen Itza. It was really beautiful. I’ve never been. It was funny because over Christmas, I had my whole family at my house, and every day my cousins and my aunts and everybody tuned in to this thing [telenovela] to see this guy … I called my cousins and they were like, ‘It’s William Levy. You’ve got to get William Levy!’ ”

William Levy is fine and all, but why did she decide to hook up with Lil Wayne for this track? She explained, “Lil Wayne is just interesting. He’s different. He’s just not the normal type of artist. He’s just kind of eccentric. I like that. I think other people like it too. He has the artistic credibility with the other artists.” Not to mention that he is THE guy to have on your track if you want to make it that much more hip.

While he performed on stage at the ACER Arena in Sydney over the weekend, an aerial egg assault put a damper on a Justin Bieber concert when half a dozen eggs appear to drop from above onto the stage during his performance.

Being the smooth mover that he is, it looks like JB managed to avoid getting hit with any of the eggs, and simply shimmied and shook out of the way. He didn’t even flinch, and kept on singing and dancing as crew worked to clean up the mess!

I know if I was singing in front of thousands of people that an attempted egging would certainly throw me off, but Bieber doesn’t miss a beat! And how exactly does one smuggle at least 6 eggs into a concert? I have heard of the old “hide your camera in your sock” trick to avoid having cameras turned away, but eggs?

Also, to add to the drama of the weekend, he Tweeted the possibility of stopping in at some screenings of his film Never Say Never that is still playing in Australian theaters, effectively setting young moviegoers into a frenzy. He also was deemed a “security risk” on a flight when he and his bodyguard walked to the bank of the plane before takeoff. Poor Biebs!

Justin Bieber has been plagued with incidents like this since he left for his world tour a couple months ago. After rumors of cancellation, riots, and now eggs and travel problems, lets hope things start to get better for him as he continues his tour!

Remember the BET Awards where Brown broke down in tribute to his idol Michael Jackson? Yeah despite the controversy and the full-fledged water works, it was a decent performance. At any rate, we know that Chris loves Jackson. But obviously, Brown thinks we have short term memory loss and he wants us to know that Jackson is his biggest inspiration. In his new video She Ain’t You, Breezy makes it a point to address his love to Michael by a small message before the start of a few imitation Michael Jackson spins. His message read: “Dedicated to my biggest inspiration of all time. I Love You. R.I.P. Michael Jackson.”

Throughout the video Brown sports various ensembles, including a white suit and a black fedora, and let me just make it clear right now, Brown is undoubtedly THE greatest and most passionate dancer of our time. It is not just the fact that Brown can perform a few classic Jackson moves just as well as the legend, but one can see the inspiration. In this video, Brown dances his booty off and I was most definitely fixated on his feet.

In case you didn’t figure it out after watching the video, the song She Ain’t You samples Jackson’s Human Nature, one of my favorite MJ songs by the way.

It looks like rocker Rick Springfield hasn’t learned the whole don’t drink and drive concept as he was arrested over the weekend for suspicion of driving drunk in LaLa Land. Really Rick you are 61-years old and have lots of money you couldn’t call a cab, I am just saying. According to TMZ, the cops pulled over Rick at around 8PM on Saturday for what was assumed to be a normal traffic violation, turns out it wasn’t. The car apparently reeked of booze which of course prompted the cops to give Springfield a number of sobriety tests that he ultimately failed. Once he failed the tests the ‘Jessie’s Girl’ singer was taken to jail but released on a $5,000 bail shortly after he was busted.

I am a huge fan of Rick’s have been since he played Noah Drake on General Hospital all those years ago. He is an amazing singer and actor there is no doubt about that. However can I just say WTF Springfield why would you drink and drive, why would anyone for that matter. Sorry got a little preachy there but it had to be said. So what is next for Rick well a hearing or plea depending on what route he decides to go either way I hope he learned his lesson. I also hope that he has not found himself in the same sort of depression he talked about in his recent memoir Late, Late At Night, which if you haven’t read I highly recommend you do. Springfield has had quite a life that is for sure.

Rick Springfield is the latest celebrity to be busted for a DUI, here is hoping that this growing trend stops soon!

Sure he may have used the Confederate flag during one of his on-stage performances, but Kid Rock claims that he did not mean to slam blacks. In fact during the Fight for Freedom Fund dinner at Cobo Center, Kid Rock declared, “I love America. I love Detroit, and I love black people.”

Outside of the event where Kid Rock (Robert Ritchie) picked up his Great Expectations Award from the Detroit NAACP, there were picketers fuming mad that Ritchie was being honored. The flag that Ritchie used during one of his concerts is offending people due to his symbol of racism. With that being said, the group of picketers took a cigarette lighter to a replica flag in protest.

Even though others were honored at this event, all eyes were on Richie because of his controversial antics. However NAACP president Wendell Anthony defended their choice to honor Ritchie saying that Ritchie has been a wonderful example and representation of the city of Detroit. Anthony explained, “We’re not lifting up the flag. We’re lifting up a gentleman who has worked very hard to be a booster for Detroit.”

However Adolph Mongo, a Detroit political rep said that for Kid Rock to be honored is hypocritical. Of the flag, Mongo said that “It stands for hatred, bigotry, racism, murder. Every bigot and racist in this country loves that flag.”

During his acceptance speech, Ritchie made it clear that he did not mean to wave the flag in hate. He explains, “I’ve never flown that flag with any hate in my heart. Not one ounce.”

And with that being said, Kid Rock announced that he is proud to donate $50,000 to various charities in Detroit including Habitat for humanity, youth programs and recreation centers. In addition, he threw a big fat donation of $50,000 to those affected by the ravaging tornadoes in the South.

He added, “That’s what Detroit city is all about. We’re fortunate enough that we haven’t been touched by Mother Nature like our friends in the South have.”

I might be the only person who had no idea that Hayden Panettiere could sing or that she attempted to have a singing career before. So imagine my surprise when I learned she has a song on the soundtrack for the film ‘Hoodwinked Too’ and that her song ‘I Can Do It Alone’ doesn’t totally suck. In fact the video and the tune are quite good actually.

The video may not seem like much but it is cute. You have a beautiful looking Hayden singing into a mic with scenes from the movie intertwined in. Simple yes but none the less Panettiere knocks it out of the park, which has many including myself wondering if the pint sized blonde isn’t thinking about venturing back into he world of music. Personally I wouldn’t mind hearing more of her singing, like I said I was pleasantly surprised at not only how good she sounded but also how much I enjoyed her singing. I don’t know what happened the first time around in terms of her singing career but if at first you don’t succeed try try again right.

It looks like it is going to be a great weekend for the movie ‘Hoodwinked Too’. I hear the film is doing amazing at the box office and now Hayden’s video for the film has come out as well. If you haven’t seen it you can check it out below. The song is a catchy little ditty so be aware you just might find yourself singing along with Panettiere.

Even though this is her first cd in like four years, it is anticipated to be her best album yet! J Lo has got it going on!

J Lo arrived in style aboard a double decker bus to promote her new CD Love in Los Angeles’ shopping center The Grove. She was joined by friends and back-up dancers for the event. Jennifer was dazzled in gold sequins, dashing in a one-piece jumpsuit.

Lopez has got a lot going on in her stellar career. It is rumored that after her seat at the judges panel on American Idol, Jen and her hubby Marc Anthony will be working on a different project. Yep, a reality show with Simon Fuller the great! This show called The Chosen will showcase in 21 countries including North, Central, and South America, competing in Latin song and dance. Like American Idol, Jennifer and Marc will travel the country in hopes to find some budding talent. According to E Online and Marc Anthony, “It’s going to be a Cirque du Soliel extravaganza, if you will, [with] talent chosen from each and every country in Latin America.” He says it’s not just reality, it’s a journey to bring talent back to the United States in this genre.

Question is, will Jennifer Lopez be returning to American Idol next season? This definitely raises some eyebrows. So far, the international super star says “of course!” With all the possibilities, she says whatever she does, she plans on doing her very best.

It was back in April (1992) of this week in history that Kris Kross landed their first Billboard Hot 100 single. Yes, THEIR song hit number one what you probably didn’t know that their song ‘Jump’ stayed on top of those charts for EIGHT weeks. Now if that isn’t legendary! The song was released off of Kris Kross’s debut album Totally Krossed Out. Yep, the one with the cover that changed my life during that time in music. Not only was Kris Kross one of the first groups I would take a pen and paper and write the lyrics down by utilizing the STOP and REWIND buttons on my boom box, but they also influenced the way I dressed. Yes, they were totally influential as well…at least for a teen like myself at the time.

Other accolades this particular song brought to Kris Kross was over four million copies sold and number ones in Australia and New Zealand. Not too bad!

And if you recall, this period of time was a great one for girl group En Vogue. However, it was Kris Kross that kept the girls’ song ‘My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It)’ from snagging up a number one with this very song.

Another memorable moment for this group was that they got to open for the King of Pop while he was touring in Europe. Not too shabby!

Take a trip down memory lane. Heck, put your pants on backwards just for the nostalgia.
